Chapter 278 Sybil's Role

Natalie, a prominent figure, was personally received by the orphanage's director, Hollis Sutton, who invited her to his office and served her coffee.

"Natalie, I heard about your $90,000 donation for the playground. We are truly grateful." The director smiled. "On behalf of the children, I thank you. Your kindness will surely bring blessings."

Natalie sipped her coffee and replied, "Hollis, you're too kind. I'm just doing my part. I also have another matter to discuss with you."

Hollis eagerly responded, "Please, go ahead."

"There's a child named Ophe at your orphanage. I'm sure you remember her," Natalie said. "Recently, there has been a lot of talk about Magnus, who also came from your orphanage."

Hollis couldn't discern Natalie's intentions and smiled. "Yes, they both are remarkable children."

Natalie continued, "I'd like to know when Ophe arrived at the orphanage and if there were any distinctive features about her."

Such inquiries at an orphanage usually involved searching for a child. Hollis curiously asked, "Natalie, did you lose a child too? Are you here to find a child?"

Natalie's words indeed raised suspicion.

"Sort of," Natalie replied half-truthfully. "Over twenty years ago, I lost my daughter. I've searched for her for over twenty years but found no leads. My daughter had a blue birthmark on her left hip. I just wanted to ask if Ophe has one too."

Hollis shook his head. "I'm not sure about that. Ophe did grow up here, but I don't recall any birthmarks. However, I do see a resemblance between you and Ophe. If you want to confirm if she's your daughter, we can do a DNA test."

"No need," Natalie said. "Without certainty, I don't want to cause unnecessary trouble. I'll transfer the donation to your account later."

Hollis was overjoyed. Natalie's donation meant another $90,000 for the orphanage.

Natalie cautioned, "Hollis, let's keep our conversation confidential."

Hollis nodded and understood Natalie's request. Natalie left the orphanage and felt uneasy. She had hoped to find clues but ended up losing $90,000. It seemed she would have to wait until Ophe's prenatal check-up on Wednesday.

Natalie returned to the Parks Family and learned that Niamh was not at home, which further fueled her anger.

Meanwhile, at a 24-hour bar, Niamh, in a fit of rage, was on the phone in the corridor, berating her subordinates, "Are you all useless? You can't even handle such a small matter. I can't even find a Sybil. Find her and get rid of her."

Niamh's top priority now was dealing with Sybil. Sybil had tampered with the brakes, and Niamh wanted her gone—as if she had vanished into thin air. After a long tirade, Niamh hung up the phone and entered a private room.

However, Niamh didn't notice that Sybil was cleaning the glass just a few meters away from where she had made the call.

Sybil, disguised as a cleaner, had been secretly observing Niamh's every move for the past few months.

Seeing Niamh enter the private room, Sybil went back to the utility room with her bucket. She took out her phone, which contained many photos she had taken while tracking Niamh.

Among these photos were the ones of Niamh meeting Seraphina. That day, Niamh gave Seraphina a bottle of pills, and Sybil captured the moment.

However, Sybil was unaware of Niamh's intentions. Since the pills were given to Seraphina, Sybil had been tracking both Niamh and Seraphina. She wanted to find out who Niamh and Seraphina were targeting and gather evidence. This time, she was determined to put Niamh behind bars for good.
