Chapter 533 You're a Good Person

"You're a kind person," Finnegan said. "You mentioned your name is Niamh?"

"Yes." Niamh was in a good mood. This was the first time Finnegan had praised her for being kind.

Niamh was feeling a bit light-headed.

"That's a lovely name," Finnegan said seriously. "Your parents must love you very much."

Those words struck a chord in Niamh's heart. Niamh didn't even know who her birth father was.

Niamh pretended to agree, "Yes."

"Where are we?" Finnegan asked. "Mrs. Parks, could you help me contact the police to find my family?"

"This is my home. I can help you find your family," Niamh said insincerely. "I'll go to the police station later to report and see if your family is looking for you."

"Thank you, Mrs. Parks, you're a good person." This was the second time Finnegan had praised Niamh, a courteous compliment.

If Ophelia knew, she would definitely give Finnegan a thumbs up for his performance.

Clearly, Finnegan's words carried a hidden meaning, but Niamh couldn't detect it. Niamh was immersed in the joy of Finnegan's memory loss.

"I've always been soft-hearted. I like helping others. It's no trouble at all." Niamh's tone was particularly gentle, almost artificial.

Finnegan was getting goosebumps, but he managed to control himself. Otherwise, he might not be able to resist.

Niamh then asked, "Are you hungry? What would you like to eat? I can have someone prepare it for you."

"No, thank you," Finnegan politely declined. "Mrs. Parks, could you take me out for a walk? I feel too confined in the room."

"Sure," Niamh readily agreed.

No one could refuse such a polite Finnegan.

Finnegan used to be quite harsh with Niamh. To put it bluntly, Niamh is somewhat smart but not particularly so.

Finnegan pretended to be weak due to memory loss but was polite. In front of such a handsome man whom she had secretly admired, she couldn't resist.

Niamh immediately arranged for a wheelchair and took Finnegan for a stroll in the yard.

Finnegan wanted to know where he was. That's why he persuaded Niamh to come out.

Niamh only dared let Finnegan stroll in the yard. The police were searching everywhere for Finnegan, almost turning the place upside down to find him. It was fortunate that she had taken him a hundred miles away. Otherwise, the police would have found him long ago.

Even here, it wasn't safe. Niamh was plotting to take Finnegan out of the country. They could live their lives abroad, where no one could find them.

Finnegan couldn't see, so he had to rely on sounds and smells to judge his surroundings. At that moment, he heard cows mooing, and the air was filled with the distinct smell of cow dung.

Cows couldn't be raised in the city. 'Did Niamh bring me to the countryside?' he thought.

Niamh also noticed the smell, which was awful. She signaled to her bodyguard behind her to chase away the villagers outside the yard who were herding cows.

The old man herding cows saw a man coming out of the small Western-style house and could tell by his appearance that he wasn't a good person.

"Go away and herd your cows over there." The bodyguard shooed the old man away.

The old man didn't dare to provoke and smiled apologetically. "Okay, sorry."

Finnegan, in the wheelchair, pondered for a moment and asked Niamh, "Mrs. Parks, when will my legs get better?"

Niamh really didn't want to heal Finnegan's legs. If she did, she wouldn't be able to control him. But now, seeing Finnegan blind and with memory loss, she said, "The doctor said in another half a month, you can walk. I'll find a way to cure your eyes and take you to see an eye specialist abroad."

"Mrs. Parks, you're so considerate. I'll remember your kindness. Once I find my family, I'll definitely reimburse you for the medical expenses."

"I've said, there's no need for thanks. It's been several days, and no one has come looking for you. Maybe you don't have any family. Regardless, I'll take you abroad first to cure your eyes. By then, you can go find your family." Niamh was trying to deceive Finnegan into going abroad.

"Thank you," Finnegan replied smoothly.

Niamh couldn't stay here for too long. She had to return to City N.

She drove back at high speed, taking about an hour.

Niamh was beaming today, her mind preoccupied with Finnegan, especially plotting to take him abroad.

Back home, Niamh began preparations for going abroad. Natalie was still in the hospital, and before leaving, she had to see her again. She wanted to bury the cause of Dovie's death along with Dovie forever.
