Chapter 285 Ophe's Mother

Ophe laughed, saying, "I'm not as confident as you think. It's just that the video you edited was a bit rough. I used to be in the photography club in college, so I know a little about video editing. I could tell at a glance that the video was edited."
Lynn's face fell. "You."
She had been so confident before, but now she realized that she had been a clown in front of Ophe right from beginning.
Lynn said, "Finnegan's mother doesn't like you, and you've noticed that. As long as she doesn't approve of you, it's unlikely for you to have a peaceful life."
"I'll leave that to Finnegan." Ophe smiled. "The key to resolving conflicts between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law is the man's attitude. As long as he stands by my side, his mother won't be able to interfere. And I believe she won’t cause trouble before Igive birth."
Celia said she didn't care about Ophe's pregnancy, but that was far from the truth. Celia would definitely dote on her grandchild.
That's why Celia was behaving now. Even if Finnegan announced the marriage certificate, the Abbott Family would remain calm.
Lynn stared at Ophe for a few seconds and said, "I didn't lose to you; I lost to Finnegan."
Because she wasn't the one Finnegan cared about, Celia had succeeded back then.
Finnegan had shown favoritism toward Ophe.
If Celia had known about Ophe's pregnancy earlier, she wouldn't have called her back.
She was not important to Celia and Finnegan.
Ophe said, "Finnegan and I will attend your performance. Oh, can I have an extra ticket? I'd like to invite Magnus to come as well."
It must be impressive to witness Lynn's dance. Ophe could have as many tickets as she wanted, but the one personally given by Lynn was different.
Lynn said proudly, "Sure, but that's the last one."
"Great, three tickets then," Ophe smiled. She knew that was what Lynn meant by putting on a show of pride.
As soon as Lynn left, Ophe called Magnus, saying, "Lynn has a performance the day after tomorrow. I got three tickets. Are you free to come and watch?"
Magnus asked, "The day after tomorrow? What time? If it's in the evening, I'll be free."
"7:30 in the evening," Ophe heard a car honking on Magnus's end and asked, "Are you outside?"
"I'm going to the orphanage to see Hollis," Magnus said. "Hollis helped this time, and it's been a long time since I visited the orphanage. I'm going to buy some things for the children."
"That made sense." Ophe said, "You could go on; I'll go back to sleep."
The orphanage.
Magnus brought a cart full of snacks and toys to the children, who loved them much, keeping saying nice words to Magnus.
Hollis was there today, too. After Magnus visited the children, he went to see Hollis.
In the office, Hollis was on the phone discussing the construction of the amusement park. The $15,000 budget had arrived, but she certainly wouldn't use it all to build the amusement park.
"Hollis," Magnus knocked on the door.
Hollis saw that it was Magnus and quickly ended the call.
"Magnus." Hollis smiled. "What brings you here today?"
"Hollis, I want to thank you for this matter. I came here specifically to say thank you," Magnus said, holding a gift. "This is a token of my appreciation."
"I didn't really do much. You don't need to do that," Hollis said so, but when it came to accepting the gift, she didn't hesitate. "I have seen your grown-up. I can't just sit back and do nothing when you're in trouble. You've had a hard time encountering such parents. It's really a pity." Hollis sounded distressed, her eyes filled with love.
As the director of the orphanage, whether her feelings for the children were genuine or not, these surface emotions were necessary to attract sponsorship.
Magnus was a lawyer, and there might be a need for Magnus in the future at the orphanage.
Magnus forced a smile. "I'm just unlucky. I don't deserve the happiness of a complete family."
Hollis asked, "So where are your parents now? They haven't caused you any more trouble, have they? Your parents are really heartless. They sold you back then, and now they're here to ruin you. I'm so angry just hearing about it. How can there be such parents?"
Magnus just smiled bitterly and didn't answer any questions, as it was embarrassing to talk about.
Hollis sighed, "Don't think about it. Work hard. You're still young and have a bright future ahead of you. If your parents are not well-off, it's better not to find them. Wouldn't that be a burden? If they were both wealthy like Ophe's mother."
Hollis realized she was about to say something wrong and quickly shut her up.
Magnus's heart trembled, then he asked, "Hollis, Ophe's mother? Do you know who Ophe's mother is?"
After boss's baby, she Escape
