Chapter 714 Not Ophelia
Barbara beamed, "Tate's making a comeback. She's here to stay."
Karen instantly knew Tate was out of prison.
With Tate back, Karen would lose her standing in the house.
Caspian would ignore her even more.
Hiding her feelings, Karen forced a smile. "When's Tate coming back? That's great. We can all be together again."
"The day after tomorrow," Eugene chimed in, walking over. "We're planning a welcome-back party for her on the first of next month. We've got half a month to prepare."
'The day after tomorrow? So soon.' Karen thought.
Karen was fuming, but she had to act thrilled. "I can't wait to see Tate again. We should throw an amazing party."
Seeing Karen's enthusiasm, Eugene and Barbara were pleased.
Meanwhile, in prison, Raymond delivered the news to Tate personally.
Hearing she was getting out early, Tate felt a rush of joy and remembered her promise to Caspian.
"Raymond, can you do me a favor?" Tate asked. "Tell Caspian the news."
Raymond was surprised but didn't question it. "Sure, I'll let him know."
If it was Tate's choice, he'd support it.
Raymond had completely forgotten about his concerns regarding Karen's interest in Caspian.
But for Tate, he'd never interfere.
Tate felt anxious, worried that Caspian might have forgotten their promise or fallen for someone else.
"Raymond, don't tell him yet. Check if he has a girlfriend. If he does, don't say anything."
Seeing Tate's caution, Raymond felt a pang of sympathy. "Tate, don't worry. If Caspian cheats, I'll break his legs."
Tate got anxious. "Raymond!"
Raymond laughed. "Just kidding."
But he wasn't kidding. If Caspian had moved on, he'd definitely beat him up.
Tate said, "If he has someone else, then it wasn't meant to be. He visited me, and we agreed that if he comes when I'm released, I'll accept his pursuit."
Tate wanted to be brave for once.
Raymond encouraged her, "He'll definitely come."
If he didn't, his legs were in trouble.
At a hotel, Caspian was having dinner with Finnegan and sneezed several times.
Finnegan said, "If you're sick, go to the hospital."
Caspian quickly replied, "I'm not sick. Must be someone gabbing about me. Finnegan, why the sudden invite for dinner? Aren't you hanging out with Ophelia?"
Finnegan raised an eyebrow. "I'm treating you to dinner, and you're still chatty?"
Caspian laughed. "I'm just curious. You watch Ophelia so closely every day. Isn't she tired of you yet?"Caspian said it casually.
But Finnegan frowned, remembering that Lily had been distant lately.
Seeing Finnegan's expression, Caspian comforted, "Finnegan, don't be so sensitive. Okay, I won't say anything."
"I'm reflecting on this. Am I too strict with Ophelia?" Finnegan said. "Since her accident, she hasn't had any friends. She doesn't remember Lynn or Addison. She used to have people to talk to at work, but now it's just Warmie."
Finnegan also stayed with Lily, but she didn't seem to need him. That distance frustrated him.
"Caspian, why can't Ophelia fall in love with me again? Why doesn't she feel anything for me?" Finnegan couldn't understand. She used to want to be with him, to be Warmie's mom, but now she pushed him away.
Caspian was stunned. "No doubt, any gal would be smitten with you. In the past, they were queuing up for a chance with you. Yet you either showed them the door or put them on your blacklist."
He continued, "You and Ophelia have a daughter. Even if she doesn't remember, she should still feel something for you. You've been alone together for half a year and still haven't had sex. That's not normal. Amnesia shouldn't change someone completely, unless she's not Ophelia."
'Not Ophelia!' Finnegan's heart skipped a beat.
Caspian said it casually, but Finnegan took it seriously.
