Chapter 337 Manage Your Mouth

Ophelia had too many doubts, and Sybil's death was too sudden.
She didn't expect that she would hear Sybil's death after several months without contact.
Ophelia remembered the scene when Sybil packed up and left Parks Corporation. Before leaving, Sybil reminded her to be careful of Niamh.

The arrival of the police also alarmed Finnegan.
When Ophelia and the police went to the station, Finnegan also rushed to the station.

"Ophe." When Finnegan entered the station and saw Ophelia, he walked straight to her, protecting her in a defensive posture, and asked the police, "Why did you bring my wife to the station?"

Following behind Finnegan were Linda, Atticus, and a bodyguard. The presence and aura made the young officer realize they were dealing with important figures.

"Sir, here's the situation. There was a traffic accident in the western suburbs last night. The deceased, Sybil, made her last call to your wife before her death. It's routine for us to bring Ophelia in for questioning."

Upon hearing it was about Sybil, Finnegan breathed a sigh of relief.
Finnegan's arrival also caught the attention of the chief.
The chief hurried over and respectfully invited Finnegan and Ophelia to his office for a chat. He also had Captain Landon Benedict, who was in charge of Sybil's case, brief them on the current situation.

Sybil died in a car accident, but there were binding marks on her wrists and ankles, indicating it wasn't a typical traffic accident.
Sybil was crushed repeatedly to death. Hearing the police's account, Ophelia recalled the deaths of Sybil's parents and glanced at Finnegan.

Finnegan understood her implication.
Sybil's mother died in a car accident, crushed by a car, while her father became disabled and died not long ago.

Now Sybil had met the same fate, inevitably making them think of Niamh.
Niamh certainly hated Sybil.

Ophelia looked at Landon and said, "I didn't receive any calls from Sybil. We haven't been in touch since she left Parks Corporation. You can check my call records."

Landon said, "Mrs. Abbott's, we're not suspecting you, but we hope you can provide some clues. If Sybil called you, she was likely seeking help. Why would she turn to you for help?"

Upon hearing that Sybil called Ophelia, Ophelia already thought about this. Sybil must have been in danger, which prompted her call.

Ophelia said, "She had no one else to trust in this city. As both her parents died in car accidents, and the driver was Niamh from Parks Corporation. You must be aware of the news a few months ago. Also, a few months ago, Sybil tampered with Niamh's car, which was documented at the station. Sybil's death is likely a vendetta."

If someone else had said this, the police would have warned against making unfounded claims.
But this was Ophelia, the wife of the boss of Abbott's Corporation, so the police naturally took it more seriously.

However, the culprit was linked to the heir of Parks Corporation, making the case tricky.
Both Landon and the chief were annoyed.

Landon said, "We will investigate Sybil's case. Thank you very much for the clues provided by Mrs. Abbott. By the way, may I ask, what was the relationship between you and the deceased Sybil?"

Ophelia replied, "Colleagues."

"Alright, noted." Landon said, "Finnegan, Mrs. Abbott, thank you for your cooperation. We will keep you informed of any progress in the case."

This was a polite gesture. Ophelia wanted to say more, but Finnegan held her hand and said, "Okay, if there's nothing else, we'll take our leave."

"It's all good. You can go now." The chief hoped the two would leave quickly as he was under too much pressure.

The chief stood up. "Finnegan, Mrs. Abbott, let me walk you out."

After seeing them off, the chief's expression turned serious, and he scolded Landon, "Idiot, who invited these two big shots to the police station? It was just a minor car accident, an insignificant person. Why blow it out of proportion?"

Landon was apologetic. "I'm sorry, chief, I don't know what happened. My subordinates brought them in. The case of Sybil's car accident doesn't seem accidental."

"With so many cases every year, have you finished investigating them all?" the chief reprimanded, "Either provide substantial evidence or keep your mouth shut."

Landon asked, "Chief, should we investigate this case or not?"

The chief said meaningfully, "Mrs. Abbott seems very concerned about this case."

Landon understood. "I know what to do."
He tended to investigate secretly.
After boss's baby, she Escape
