Chapter 51 The Competition Between Men

Caspian led Ophelia into the store, which mainly sold men's clothing. The most expensive item was no more than a thousand dollars.
The store was filled with discount promotions, with prices tagged at 49 and 19.
Feeling embarrassed, Ophelia lowered her voice and asked, "Mr. Hawthorne, should we go to another store?" The gifts Caspian had given her were worth tens of thousands, and she felt guilty about buying him such cheap clothing.
"This one is fine," Caspian casually picked up a pink tracksuit. "Miss Sinclair, what do you think of this one?"
Most men wouldn't buy pink.
Before Ophelia could suggest that the color might be a bit too soft, Caspian preempted her, "I'll try it on."
With that, Caspian headed to the fitting room.
Soon, Caspian came out in the pink tracksuit. The short-sleeved and short design in such a color would make most men look greasy, but on Caspian, it looked youthful and even a bit cute.
Caspian was slightly chubby, and his face wasn't deep-set but rather round. Wearing pink made him even more approachable.
"How does it look, Miss Sinclair?" Caspian seemed quite satisfied.
Ophelia nodded, "It's good. It makes you look even younger and vibrant."
Caspian's skin was fair, and although he was slightly heavier set, his body proportions were good, making the outfit look really nice on him.
But the price tag for this outfit was 69.
"I'll take this one, and I won't change. I'll wear it out," Caspian said. "Miss Sinclair, please pay."
"Mr. Hawthorne, are you sure you don't want to switch to another store?" No matter what, Ophelia felt like she was getting too good a deal.
"It's not about the price of the gift, it's the thought behind it that matters," Caspian was quite eloquent. "Miss Sinclair, this sentiment can't be measured by money."
Under Caspian's insistence, they finally bought the pink outfit.
Caspian did not stick around Ophelia after the purchase. He said, "Miss Sinclair, you can go about your business. I have to leave for something."
He just came out to buy a tracksuit?
Caspian seemed to leave Ophelia with more questions about his mind each time they met.
Little did she know that Caspian was in a hurry to go to Abbott Corporation to show off to Finnegan and irritate him.
When he and Ophelia left Orchid Bay Community, he saw Finnegan on the roadside.
Finnegan must have also seen his car and knew that he had taken Ophelia away, so he definitely wouldn't go back to the community to wait.
If Caspian guessed correctly, Finnegan must have returned to the company.
Abbott Corporation.CEO's office.
As soon as Finnegan returned to the company, his expression was icy cold. Atticus immediately noticed that Finnegan was in a bad mood, and he was very cautious in everything he did, fearing that he might provoke Finnegan.
Atticus managed to avoid provoking Finnegan, but Linda, who came into the office to report on her work, was not so lucky. She was reprimanded by Finnegan and asked to redo her proposal.
When Linda came out of the office, she felt like she had narrowly escaped a catastrophe. She found Atticus and asked, "Mr. Montgomery, what's wrong with Mr. Abbott today? Did something happen?"
"I'm not sure, but Mr. Abbott is definitely in a bad mood today. You guys should be more observant," Atticus could only help this much. He was also trying to stay out of trouble.
As the two were talking, they saw Caspian walking past them towards the CEO's office.
Linda asked Atticus, "Should we warn Mr. Hawthorne?"
"Don’t you know how close Mr. Abbott and Mr. Hawthorne are? Even if Mr. Hawthorne sets the company on fire, Mr. Abbott wouldn't say anything. It's good that Mr. Hawthorne is going to pacify Mr. Abbott's anger."
"That makes sense."
Inside the office, Finnegan was feeling incredibly irritable.
At this moment, Caspian made a grand entrance, pushing open the office door and walking in with a smile, "Finnegan, do you think this outfit looks good on me? Isn't it very handsome and fitting for my personality? Miss Sinclair bought it for me."
Finnegan's face immediately darkened, "Why did Ophelia buy clothes for you?"
Caspian definitely wouldn't tell the truth, so he deliberately said, "Of course, because she thinks I'm handsome, so she gave me a gift. Finnegan, aren't you extremely envious?"
Finnegan sneered, "Childish."
Caspian was smug, "Finnegan, don't be jealous. Miss Sinclair has never given you any gifts before, has she? I bet you're envious. No matter how expensive your clothes are, they can't compare to the sentimental value of Miss Sinclair's gift."
Finnegan leaned back slightly, calmly saying, "Do you think this outfit looks good? Miss Sinclair bought it for me too."
Caspian was taken aback.
After boss's baby, she Escape
