Chapter 582 Ophelia Gets into Trouble
Niamh turned to run, but just as she opened the door, Ophelia said, "Do you think you can run away? As long as I make a call, you won't run out of this neighborhood."
Hearing this, Niamh stopped opening the door. She leaned against it, turned around, and looked at Ophelia. "You've already taken everything from me. What else do you want, Ophelia? Everything is yours now. Spare me. I know I was wrong."
Niamh showed weakness, using a pleading tone to beg Ophelia to let her go.
Ophelia sneered, "Niamh, you hate me. If given the chance, you'd want me dead. Do you think it's possible for me to spare you?"
A deep hatred flashed in Niamh's eyes. However, she pretended to have turned over a new leaf, looking remorseful. She said, "Ophelia, I was wrong before. You're a mother too. Look at how big my belly is. For the sake of my child, please don't call the police. I will always remember your kindness."
As she spoke, Niamh slowly knelt down. She was willing to do anything to survive.
Ophelia was momentarily surprised and then said, "If you truly know you were wrong, you should kneel down in front of the graves of my mom, Seraphina and Sybil, and repent to them."
Seeing that Ophelia didn't let her get up without anysign of forgiveness, Niamh was filled with hatred. "Ophelia, Sybil's death was an accident. I didn't harm Seraphina either. I'm innocent. Natalie killed your mom. It was her fault, but I didn't know anything beforehand. It was all Natalie's plan. Seraphina's death was Deacon's doing, which had nothing to do with me."
Niamh pushed all the blame onto Natalie and Deacon. Everyone was at fault and guilty, except for her. Only Niamh was innocent.
Ophelia looked at the kneeling Niamh, who was apologizing but didn't admit it at all.
"Niamh, you are truly incorrigible." Ophelia also hated Niamh as the people around her had been harmed by Niamh.
Ophelia didn't let her get up, but Niamh stood up on her own, looking pitiful. "Ophelia, I was really wrong. What do I have to do to make you believe me? Do you really want me dead? We are family. In this world, you are the closest person to me now. I've always wanted to reconcile with you."
These words were high-sounding.
Ophelia also laughed. 'Niamh really has no boundaries to whitewash anything,' she thought.
At this moment, there was a commotion outside. Someone had climbed over the wall and come in.
Ophelia remained calm. Soon, someone knocked on the door. The knocking startled Niamh, and then she heard a voice outside. "Niamh, it's me. Open the door, Niamh."
It was Jesse's voice.
Hearing the voice, Niamh felt like she had grasped hope and quickly opened the door.
Seeing that it was indeed Jesse outside, Niamh immediately changed her attitude. "Jesse, quick, grab Ophelia for me. Don't let her call the police, or I'm done for."
'Niamh is truly incorrigible,' Ophelia thought.
Ophelia had long known that Niamh would turn against her. Hearing this, she wasn't surprised at all.
Jesse was also shocked. 'How could Ophelia be here? If Niamh's whereabouts were exposed, the police would know,' he thought.
Jesse thought of the message he had received earlier, saying that Niamh was in danger and he should rush to the Parks family villa. It turned out that Niamh was indeed in danger.
Jesse quickly shielded Niamh behind him and pleaded with Ophelia, "Ophelia, please don't call the police. Please spare Niamh. I'll take her away from City N and never come back. Please give us a chance."
"Letting a fugitive go is against the law." Ophelia wasn't surprised at all when she saw Jesse, of which Jesse and Niamh was oblivious.
Seeing that Ophelia was aggressive and unwilling to spare Niamh, Jesse was also anxious. Niamh had already been exposed, and Ophelia would call the police.
Ophelia took out her phone. "Niamh, stop making futile resistance. If you turn yourself in, you can still get a reduced sentence."
As she spoke, Ophelia dialed the police and said, "Hello, police department? Niamh is..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she felt a sharp pain in her head and fell to the ground, with her phone dropping on the floor. Holding a baseball bat, Niamh said to Jesse, "What are you standing there for? Hold her down. I'll go find some ropes."
