Chapter 372 Duck Meat with Cranberries

Magnus returned to his hometown, causing quite a stir locally. The surrounding villages quickly spread the news that the youngest son of the Cobb Family had come back.
Addison knew about the relationship between Ophelia and Magnus, which is why she specifically informed Ophelia.

Upon hearing the news, Ophelia found it hard to imagine what Magnus was thinking and what kind of mood he was in when he went back to his old home to visit the graves.
Everything that had been done before suddenly seemed meaningless.
Once Magnus acknowledged his family identity, he would never be able to shake off Tobias and his family.

Fortunately, Magnus had already returned the house to Ophelia so that Tobias couldn't covet it anymore. Since she couldn't dissuade him, she decided to let Magnus suffer a bit more.

Ophelia lowered her voice and said, "Addison, have your dad keep an eye on Tobias's family. If there's any news, let me know immediately."

Addison nodded, "I know. I've asked my dad to keep an eye on them. The whole village is talking about it now. They say Tobias is lucky. Even after all this, his youngest son is still willing to take care of him."
If Magnus didn't know he had been abandoned, Ophelia could understand his actions. But knowing he had been sold, Magnus still chose to go back to his loveless family, which was quite baffling.

"Addison, you go back to work."

There were still guests around so that Ophelia couldn't talk too much with Addison.
Addison, understanding the situation, went back to work.
As she went downstairs, Addison glanced at Tate, who was sitting quietly by the window, sitting upright and looking outside.

Niamh personally cooked and made duck soup and bought some cranberries.
Natalie smelled the aroma and casually asked the nanny, "What's for lunch?"

"It's a duck." The nanny said. "Dovie cooked it herself, making duck soup."

"Niamh cooked?" Natalie was quite surprised and quickly walked into the kitchen.

Niamh served a bowl of duck soup and, seeing Natalie come in, smiled and said, "Natalie, would you like to try the duck soup I made?"

"Did you really make this?" Natalie found the change a bit too drastic. Lazy Niamh had actually cooked.

"I'm getting married, so I need to learn how to cook. Even though I'll still be living here and won't need to cook, I should still know how. I can't always be unable to cook." Niamh said happily. "Cooking is a very therapeutic activity, which calms the mind."

"It seems you've really made progress this time." Natalie said with great relief. "Let me try it and see how your duck soup tastes."

"Here you go." Niamh said, smiling as she handed the bowl to Natalie.

Natalie was quite pleased, took the bowl with both hands and immediately took a sip. The taste was alright, and to encourage Niamh, she drank the whole bowl. "It's quite good."

"As long as you like it." Niamh said, taking out a plate of cranberries from the fridge. "Natalie, try these too. They're quite fresh. You eat first. I'll take some duck soup to my mom."

"You even know how to be filial to your mom now." Natalie said, thinking that Dovie already knew about Niamh's background. "Niamh, your mom hasn't been feeling well lately. Take good care of her. Don't upset her, and help out with the company's affairs when needed."
Natalie was now hoping that Niamh would take over Parks Corporation soon.
"I understand, Natalie." Niamh said, smiling as she served another bowl of duck soup and a plate of cranberries to Dovie.

In the room upstairs, Dovie was already dressed and ready to go to the company.
"Mom, are you feeling better today?" Niamh asked as she entered the room. "I made duck soup. Try it. Natalie just had some and said it tasted good."

"You made this?" Dovie was also quite surprised.

"Yes, I made it myself." Niamh said. "I even skimmed the oil off the top, so it's not greasy."
Seeing Niamh being so considerate and respectful, Dovie didn't think much of it and drank the duck soup. "It does taste good."

"Mom, there are also cranberries. Try some." Niamh said, looking like a dutiful daughter.

Dovie ate two and said, "I have to go to the company. As for your wedding with Ricky, you should also take a look and give some suggestions. Whatever kind of wedding you want, tell Natalie and coordinate with the wedding planning company."

Niamh understandingly said, "Mom, I'll go to the company with you. I have no opinions about the wedding. Natalie can handle it."
After boss's baby, she Escape
