Chapter 237 To Play Tricks
Lynn stood outside for a while, looking at the words "Rose Garden" replacing "Orchid Garden." Lynn understood the intention behind the name change clearly.
Without hesitation, Lynn entered the neighborhood with her luggage and made her way to the villa where Finnegan and Ophe lived. Lina led Lynn inside.
Lina said to Finnegan, "Mr. Abbott's, I'll take Miss Lynn to her room."
"Yes," Finnegan replied without lifting his head, not even glancing at Lynn. He casually peeled an egg for Ophe.
Ophe was puzzled by the situation. She glanced at Lynn standing in the living room, then at Finnegan. She silently continued eating her breakfast and wanted to see what Finnegan was up to. Regardless, Ophe didn't believe that Finnegan and Lynn could have anything between them. Even if they did, it wouldn't be possible for him to bring her home.
Ophe didn't have much of an appetite and enjoyed eating sour radishes. In the morning, she wasn't interested in eating anything elaborated, sticking to oatmeal with sour radishes and eggs.
Finnegan thought Ophe's meal was not nutritious enough, so he asked the nanny to cook some lentil soup for her, but she didn't like it.
Lynn was ignored in the living room. Lina said, "Miss Lynn, please come this way."
Lynn averted her gaze and followed Lina to the room.
Inside the room, Lina said, "Miss Lynn, your toiletries are all prepared. They are in the bathroom drawer. There are also a few sets of clothes ready for you. If you need anything, please feel free to ask."
Lynn was absent-minded, her mind filled with images of Ophe and Finnegan having breakfast. She didn't pay attention to what Lina said.
She never expected that Finnegan would accompany Ophe for breakfast. Moreover, his actions of peeling eggs appeared skillful. The two of them seemed like an ordinary couple, emanating an indescribable natural harmony and happiness. It was the happiness that Lynn had once yearned for.
Lynn interrupted Lina's words, "Lina, help me organize my luggage. I'm a little hungry."
Lina smiled and said, "Sure, Miss Lynn. You can go have breakfast, and I'll help you keep your things."
Lynn went out and headed straight to the dining room, taking a seat. "I haven't had breakfast yet," she said.
Finnegan told the nanny, "Bring another set of cutleries."
When a guest came and sat down to eat, Finnegan would be generous.
Ophe just glanced briefly at Lynn and continued eating her meal.
Just as the nanny brought out the cutlery, Finnegan said to Ophe, "I'm going to the company first. Don't eat too much, have small meals throughout the day, and move around a bit."
Ophe waved her hand and replied, "Yes, you tell me this every day. It's becoming repetitive."
"I'm leaving," Finnegan said, kissing Ophe's cheek like he usually did before heading out.
Ophe didn't think much of it on any other day, but now, with Lynn watching, she felt somewhat embarrassed and blushed.
Lynn's expression turned sour when she saw this.
After Finnegan left, only Ophe and Lynn remained in the dining room.
Ophe didn't feel like eating anymore, so she got up and said, "Miss Lynn, take your time."
"Ophe, are you really not bothered that I moved into Orchid Garden?" Lynn called after Ophe. "You should understand what he meant."
"I don't quite understand, but I believe he won't actually have anything with you," Ophe replied nonchalantly. "Miss Lynn. If you need anything, just let me know. I'm going back to my room to take a nap."
Ophe yawned, genuinely feeling tired.
Ophe's indifferent attitude and Finnegan's disregard made Lynn a little mad.
She had moved in, yet Ophe remained calm.
"Don't think that you can really hold onto him just because you're pregnant," Lynn sneered. "Celia probably won't accept you, right?"
Ophe frowned. "Miss Lynn, my affairs are none of your concern."
"I'm just reminding you, hoping that you won't continue deceiving yourself." Lynn pulled out her phone and played a video clip. "Take a look at this."
Ophe glanced at it, and her face immediately changed.
In the video, Lynn and Finnegan were in bed together.
