Chapter 368 The Enemy is Alarmed

For the first time, Finnegan's face showed an expression of speechlessness. "You should just hit the sack."

Atticus stifled a laugh, while Caspian scratched his head awkwardly. "Finnegan, you're so smart. One moment, you're talking about Sybil. The next, it's Seraphina, then pawns and masterminds. I can't keep up with your thinking."

"You don't need to know so much. Just mind your own business, eat and drink as you should." Finnegan said, then turned to Atticus, "Let's have a meeting."

"Yes, Finnegan." Atticus went out to work.

Caspian couldn't help but get goosebumps when he thought about the video just now.
He was kind-hearted and felt uncomfortable seeing living people being crushed like that. Even if it were an animal, he couldn't bear it, let alone a person.
Caspian knew one thing for sure. Finnegan wouldn't have gotten this far if he weren't smarter than him. If Finnegan had said not to worry about it, then he wouldn't have worried about it.

Finnegan continued with the meeting as usual, ignoring the video.

Meanwhile, in a certain club, a man was smoking a cigar, and his subordinate respectfully said, "Deacon, the video has been sent out. There's no reaction from Finnegan's side yet."

The man took a puff of his cigar. He was Deacon.
"No rush. Catching prey is all about patience. We've waited so many years. A little more time won't hurt. If it's too easy, it won't be fun."
Deacon waved his hand to signal his subordinate to leave.

As the subordinate left, Niamh came in from outside.
Seeing Niamh, Deacon crossed his legs, one hand on the sofa, the other on his knee. "Niamh, have you recovered from your injury?"
The injury was a sore spot for Niamh. She could never fully recover from losing a finger.

Niamh walked up to Deacon and asked, "Did you have Seraphina killed?"

Deacon smiled, "You shouldn't ask so many questions. Since you're here today, how about a drink? I heard you're getting married to Ricky. Congratulations."

Niamh sat down, poured herself a drink, and took a sip. "He's just a puppet. It doesn't matter who I marry now."

Deacon just smiled, puffing on his cigar. He didn't care about Niamh's situation as she still had some use to him.
Deacon suddenly asked, "How much do you think Finnegan cares about Ophelia?"

Niamh glanced at Deacon, "Are you planning to go after Ophelia? What's your grudge with Finnegan?"
After this incident, Niamh had become a bit smarter. She realized Deacon wasn't helping her for any benefit from her.

"Shouldn't it be your grudge with him?" Deacon shook his leg. "Without absolute power, causing trouble will eventually cost you. Today's expenses are on the house. Think carefully about your future path here."
With that, Deacon left.

Niamh poured herself another drink. She knew she couldn't provoke Ophelia or Finnegan anymore. Her goal now was to inherit Parks Corporation.
If she hadn't agreed to get married in October, Dovie would have sent her to France long ago.
She didn't want to be controlled anymore. She wanted to become the head of the Parks Family. Her next step was to eliminate anyone in her way.

Dovie had been feeling unwell these past few days and was resting at home. Hearing that Ophelia had come, she perked up, changed clothes, and went downstairs to greet her.
It was Ophelia's first time at the Parks Family home. Dovie was in a good mood, showing Ophelia around the yard, the gazebo, and the artificial lake.

"Ophelia, I'm so happy you could come to my home." Dovie said with a smile. "I always thought you held a grudge. I've been wanting to apologize for what happened last time. Ophelia, Niamh has been punished. Can we."

Ophelia gently interrupted, "Auntie Dovie, since it's all in the past, let's not bring it up."
In Ophelia's heart, the matter wasn't over, but there was no point in mentioning it again.
The two chatted in the pavilion, with Tate standing guard outside.

At that moment, Natalie returned and heard from the maid that Dovie was entertaining Ophelia in the backyard gazebo. She hurried to the pavilion, both anxious and surprised.
As she approached the gazebo, she heard Ophelia say, "I envy those who have their parents' support. Sometimes, I wonder where my parents are. I didn't have the means to look for my biological parents before, but now I do."
After boss's baby, she Escape
