Chapter 189 Scheme

Seraphina clenched her fist. Magnus had a house, but she didn't. Ophe was being too biased.

She used to talk about sharing good fortune and facing difficulties together, promising to buy her a house and open a company for her when they became wealthy and to give her cars and houses. But now, theres no place for her.

Ophe only took it out after she left. Was she just trying to guard against her, not treating her as a sister?

As soon as Ophe casually gave away a set of multimillion-dollar houses, Seraphina was extremely jealous. Even though she had managed to get some luxury handbags from Finnegan by budgeting meticulously, Ophe had received so much more.

It seemed that Finnegan really favored Ophe, at least more than he did Seraphina.

If Seraphina found out that Finnegan had given Ophe far more than just these, she would be at a peak level of envy.

Seraphina left the restaurant, thinking about how to get Ophe to give her a house and money and how to show the pictures to Finnegan.

...

After Ophe's persuasion, Magnus finally accepted the house.

With a house, he could send Serenity to public kindergarten, which would be more affordable.
With a house, he could also make his parents live a little more comfortably.

Tobias had been demanding a house, and the house Ophe gave him came just in time, solving many of the problems.

In Magnus's heart, he didn't acknowledge that this house was his own. He only saw it as borrowing from Ophe. When he made enough money to change his life, he would return the house to Ophe.

After dinner, Ophe drove Magnus home.

When they arrived at the community's entrance, Magnus said, "Ophe, go back now. Thanks."
"There's no need to say thanks among family. Go back and rest early," Ophe said while sitting in the car. "The house is ready to move into with just a suitcase. If you encounter any difficulties, make sure to tell me, and don't carry them alone."

"Okay." Magnus held the property certificate, feeling heavy-hearted.

After Ophe left, Magnus returned home. Serenity was playing with toys in the living room while Riley and Tobias Jett were watching TV. The four of them were eating fruit and occasionally laughing at the plot on TV.

Not until Riley noticed Magnus changing his shoes did she realize he had returned. "Magnus, why did you finish work so early today? Have you eaten? We've all eaten. Would you like some noodles?"

"Mom, I've already eaten." Magnus walked over.

Serenity stopped playing and walked up to Magnus, concerned. "Daddy, are you tired from work? Let me massage your shoulders for you."

Serenity was so considerate that she made Magnus feel warm in his heart.

Hearing Serenity call Magnus "Daddy," Jett, lying on the sofa, felt very displeased inside. However, he still smiled and said, "Magnus, see how understanding Serenity is? Have you sorted out the school you found for her?"

"It's almost done," Magnus said, glancing at Tobias as he continued. "I rented a house, and we can move in tomorrow. Serenity can also go to a nearby kindergarten, which will be more convenient when she starts elementary school."

Magnus didn't mention that Ophe had given it to him, only that he had rented it.

When Tobias heard about the house, a smile appeared on his face. "Is it a big house? How many rooms?"

"It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms," Magnus replied. "You and Riley can have one room, Jett can have another and Serenity and I will share one. When Serenity gets older, I'll give her room and share with Jett."

Upon hearing about the three bedrooms, Tobias furrowed his brows. "Three rooms might be a bit small, but let's make do for now. Let's move tomorrow."

Tobias wanted to live in the new house but felt it was too small.

When Magnus mentioned that Serenity would share a room with him, Jett felt a bit uneasy. He had asked Magnus to be Serenity's father with ulterior motives, to have Magnus take care of her. However, seeing how close Serenity was to Magnus made Jett unhappy.

"Alright." Magnus smiled. "We'll move tomorrow."

That night, Magnus still slept on the couch. He hadn't told his family about his hospitalization. Just as he was preparing to sleep, he received the money that Ophe had sent.

Magnus felt useless and didn't want to burden Ophe, but he ended up troubling her anyway.

The next day, Magnus moved to the new house with his family. The better living environment made Tobias smile, praising Magnus for his abilities.

At work, Damon urged Magnus to secure the spot for the outside legal team of Abbott's Corporation.

Magnus could only nod and go with his colleagues to Abbott's Corporation.

Magnus had Finnegan's contact information, but he didn't reach out to him. Instead, he waited like any other law firm.

After waiting for a day, Magnus didn't meet the person in charge of assessing the legal team and ended up being rejected and sent away.

His colleagues informed Damon about this when they returned.
