Chapter 235 Lynn Moves into Orchid Garden
"That's impossible," Finnegan rejected directly. "You can make a different request."
"What's wrong, Finnegan? Are you scared?" Lynn mocked, "Are you afraid that your self-control is not enough, or worried that Ophe doesn't love you enough? I heard that you went from knowing each other to getting married in just a few months. Are you marrying in such a hurry because you fear Ophe may have ulterior motives?"
Finnegan's expression turned slightly cold. "You don't need to provoke me. Ophe is pregnant, and I don't want anything to affect her mood."
"You dare not even bet for three months?" Lynn said, "I can guarantee that I will not harm Ophe and the baby in her belly. You need to prepare a room for me at the Orchid Garden. After fulfilling my wish, I will leave in three months. Only the two of us will know about this bet. Don't you want to find out whether Ophe really trusts you or not?"
There was a hint of coldness between Finnegan's eyebrows. "This bet is meaningless. I believe Ophe will trust me completely."
"The only way to know if it's meaningful is to do it," Lynn firmly said, "If you want to get rid of me, this is the only way. Finnegan, you owe me this. Do you know who those three men your mother found were? They were the worst scum in the world. It still disgusts me to think about it. How did I make it through that night?"
The more Lynn spoke, the more agitated she became. Another wave of pain hit her in her heart, and she felt physically nauseous at the thought of that night. She immediately rushed to the bathroom and vomited.
Lynn washed her face with water and looked at her disheveled reflection in the mirror, unable to help but laugh.
In the mirror, Finnegan stood at the doorway of the bathroom and said, "Fine, I promise you. It will last for three months. If you cross the line, don't blame me for being ruthless. It will end after three months."
Lynn turned around. "Okay, it's a deal."
"Tomorrow, I will have someone pick you up to take you to the Orchid Garden," Finnegan said, leaving without turning back.
Listening to the sound of the door closing, Lynn slowly squatted on the ground and cried in pain.
She was so proud on stage, but to get a chance, she exposed her scars for Finnegan's pity. It was the only way she could manipulate Finnegan.
Finnegan may seem cold-blooded on the surface, but he never owed anyone anything. He had to pay for Celia's mistakes.
Lynn covered her ears with both hands and closed her eyes. She didn't want to recall that night, but memories rushed in like a flood, engulfing her in pain.
Her agent came back and heard the crying from the bathroom. Immediately, he approached nervously. "Lynn, what's wrong?"
He wanted to comfort her, but Lynn instinctively pushed him away. "Go away!"
Lynn didn't feel good. The agent immediately knew that she was thinking about that incident, which caused her to lose control.
Over the years, Lynn had survived like this, often haunted by nightmares.
In the six months after the incident, Lynn could only fall asleep with the medication. Her agent had been there for her all these years, constantly taking care of her emotions.
He knew that Lynn wanted to avoid being approached by the man. He took a step back and said, "Lynn, it's me, your agent. Don't be afraid, I'm here."
Upon hearing her agent's voice, Lynn slowly calmed down and looked up at him. "He was here just now. I'm moving into Orchid Garden tomorrow. It is my last chance."
"You're moving into Orchid Garden?" The agent exclaimed, "Are you crazy? Finnegan is a married man. What are you doing by moving in? Why can't you just let him go?"
"I can't do that," Lynn said firmly. "I want to live in Orchid Garden. I want to give it another try."
