Chapter 695 Warmie Called Mom
Lily's return caught everyone off guard. Caspian, who'd spent the whole night with Finnegan and hadn't seen Ophelia, rushed over as soon as he heard she was at the Abbott family mansion.
Oscar also came to the front to see if Ophelia, missing for over six months, had really come back.
When Wilder heard Ophelia was alive and back, he hurried to the mansion with Katherine.
Finnegan talked with Lily and Warmie for a bit, knowing everyone was waiting downstairs to see if Ophelia had really returned. They headed downstairs together.
Finnegan held Warmie, with Lily following behind, and the three of them descended the stairs.
In the living room, everyone turned towards the spiral staircase at the sound of footsteps.
Seeing Lily's face and the family of three together, they finally believed Ophelia had returned.
Wilder was the most excited. "Ophelia, Dad's here."
While waiting, Susan filled everyone in on the situation.
Everyone knew the current Ophelia, now called Lily, had lost her memory and didn't remember anyone.
Lily looked at Wilder, feeling no memory but a sense of closeness in her heart.
Lily instinctively called out, "Dad."
This word brought tears to Wilder's eyes and made Susan take another look at Lily.
Her expression and tone made people feel the old Ophelia had returned. Susan couldn't tell if it was an illusion or if she'd made a mistake earlier when touching Lily's hand.
Wilder stepped forward and hugged Lily, tears streaming down his face. "Ophelia, you're alive. I'm so happy. God bless, you're still alive."
Lynn's gaze fell on Lily, finding it hard to believe she was really alive.
Addison was so moved by the touching scene that she wanted to cry. "Lynn, this is wonderful. Ophelia has really come back. I told you, God wouldn't be so cruel. Ophelia is such a good person. Surely God will bless her."
As Addison spoke, she started to cry out of happiness.
Caspian found it even more miraculous, muttering to himself, "My God, to survive a typhoon, what incredible luck."
Lynn said, "Yes, it's really lucky. Ophelia has really come back. Great."
Lily's return brought joy to everyone, with smiles on their faces.
Caspian said, "Today is a happy day. We should set off fireworks to celebrate and have a big feast."
Finnegan's gaze was fixed on Lily, full of love. "Quite right. Let's buy fireworks now, and everyone stay for a meal today."
Although there weren't many people, for Lily, relying only on that bit of memory and the inexplicable closeness she felt towards Warmie and Wilder, she still felt very uneasy.
Finnegan noticed everything about her, worried she might feel uncomfortable, and suggested she play upstairs with Warmie before the meal.
Everyone else, knowing Lily's situation, refrained from asking too many questions. For them, it was enough that she had returned.
Everyone was very delighted, also calming their own emotions.
While the others chatted downstairs, Lynn glanced upstairs, wanting to see Lily. Before she could go up, Susan pulled her aside to talk, asking about Lynn's life and if she had any boys she liked, trying to introduce someone to her.
So Lynn didn't get a chance to go upstairs.
Addison felt a bit uncomfortable at the Abbott family estate. To her, the Abbott family was a top-tier family, and it was her first time there. The house was so luxurious, with every decoration inside being incredibly valuable, even more so than those shown on TV.
Upstairs, Lily played with Warmie, sitting on a soft mat with her shoes off. Warmie, who had been building blocks, suddenly stopped playing and walked over to Lily.
Lily gently asked, "Warmie, what's wrong?"
Warmie lay down in Lily's arms, her little head resting on Lily's heart, closing her eyes, and her small hand gently patting Lily's stomach, murmuring, "Mommy."
This call of "Mommy" made Lily's nose inexplicably tingle, holding Warmie, her heart melting. "Warmie, I am Mommy."
"Mommy." Warmie kept calling out, her little head nuzzling against Lily's chest.
Finnegan came upstairs to bring something to Lily and saw this scene at the door, a smile appearing on his face.
