Chapter 230 First Confrontation

On this day, Lynn came again.

She sat in the same seat as before and ordered the same dishes.

Ophe observed from the second floor for a while. Addison couldn't help but say, "Ophe, you said she doesn't like eating Japanese food, so why does she come here every day? I see her rinsing her food with water several times each time she eats. She can't eat sugar, yet she always orders a sweet Japanese dish. It's really strange."

Ophe also noticed this situation. Lynn only ate a few, mostly vegetarian dishes. It was normal for a dancer like her to eat vegetarian to maintain her figure, but it was odd that she couldn't eat sweets yet still ordered a sweet Japanese dish.

It was truly strange that Lynn didn't like eating Japanese food but still went to a Japanese restaurant.

Because Lynn came every day, business at Ophe's Japanese restaurant improved. Many people came to eat because Lynn was there, enjoying their meal with a beautiful lady sitting nearby.

A man at the table next to Lynn stole glances at her while eating, and his wife caught him.

The woman grabbed her husband's ear in front of everyone and said, "What are you looking at? You don't even look at your wife, but you look at others. Are you trying to sleep on the couch?"

The man, covering his ear, felt extremely embarrassed. "Honey, so many people are watching me."

"I was wondering why you would drink a liter of water after eating something sweet. Why did you come to eat a sweet Japanese dish today? It turned out there's a beautiful woman here." The woman persisted. "Let's go home, we won't eat here."

The woman dragged the man away, and as they passed by Lynn, she intentionally and unreasonably said, "You look like a vixen, dressed so well. I wonder who you're trying to seduce. You look like a mistress."

The woman's words made Lynn's face turn unsightly as if her inner thoughts had been exposed.

She lifted her hand to cover her face, looking a bit flustered.

The next thing she was going to do was to break up someone else's family.

The man felt embarrassed. "Let's go, stop talking about others."

The man quickly pulled his wife away.

Throughout the whole incident, Lynn didn't make a sound. She just waited until they left and then called the waiter, saying, "Could you please add some water? Thank you."

Ophe witnessed everything and told Addison, "I'm going to check on her."

Ophe descended the staircase, curious about Lynn. She approached her politely and asked, "Hello, I'm the owner of this restaurant. Would you like to move to a private room?"

Lynn sat in the lobby and attracted quite a bit of business. However, considering the dining experience for other customers, Ophe still thought of moving her to a private room for a quieter dining atmosphere.

Lynn stared at Ophe for a long time. Of course, she already knew that Ophe was Finnegan's wife; otherwise, she wouldn't be here.

Looking closely at Ophe, Lynn was once again amazed.

Her skin looked even better while pregnant, and her natural beauty still shone through. Her well-proportioned figure was also enviable.

Ophe emanated a faint mint scent, which Lynn smelt. Thinking about Finnegan's liking for mint, Lynn became more certain that there was a connection between his marrying Ophe and her scent.

As Lynn was examining Ophe, Ophe was also closely observing her.

Ophe found it a bit strange that Lynn was looking at her as if they had known each other for a long time.

"No need," Lynn said. "This place is fine."

"Alright." Ophe smiled and asked, "What do you think of the taste? Any suggestions are welcome."

"It's good." Lynn glanced around the restaurant, eventually resting her gaze on Ophe. "From the decoration and dishes inside the restaurant, as well as the service, it's evident that the owner has put a lot of effort into this place."

"Thank you!" Ophe politely expressed her gratitude, knowing that Lynn was just being polite, not truly thinking it was good.

Lynn replied lukewarmly, "This restaurant just recently opened, and it's in such a prosperous area. The owner must have a very supportive husband."

She meant that Ophe could open this restaurant because of her husband.

Lynn's words carried a clear sense of contempt and a hint of envy.

Ophe looked a bit awkward and didn't know what to say. Just then, Caspian came with a few friends and exclaimed, "Ophe, are there any private rooms available? I've brought some friends to eat."

Caspian shouted as soon as he came in.

Ophe said to Lynn, "Please enjoy your meal." Then, she walked toward Caspian and said, "There are private rooms on the third floor."

"Alright, I'll take my friends there." Caspian looked toward Ophe, and following Ophe's gaze, he saw Lynn sitting quietly by the window, eating sushi. Caspian was surprised and couldn't say what he wanted to.
