Chapter 476 Love is a Verb
Ophelia was quite surprised. She thought that after Wilder and Katherine returned to France, they wouldn't be contacting them anymore.
It was pretty surprising to receive an invitation from Wilder a few months later.
This was a royal wedding that was open to the world. Those invited were either internationally influential figures, members of the royal family, or leaders of various countries.
Of course, for royal weddings like this, some invitations were also open to the public, and those who received these invitations most certainly had influential backgrounds.
Ophelia looked at Finnegan and said, "We are invited to attend the royal wedding in France."
"Let me see." Finnegan glanced at the invitation. "This is a formal invitation, belonging to the royal family's internal circle, not for the public."
Some people wanted to ride on the coattails of the royal wedding, trying to get an invitation by any means necessary, which required an immense sum of money.
However, Ophelia's invitation was different. This was an invitation that only the royal family's internal circle and important leaders of various countries would receive.
"This is truly a pleasant surprise," Ophelia smiled. "Isn't this a good thing? I heard that some big stars, wealthy ladies, and heiresses would try to buy such invitations but ended up with only visitor tickets."
"Yes, this is a form of international socializing. To enhance fame and maintain the company's image, people are more than willing to spend money to attend and create a buzz," Finnegan smiled warmly. "This is a good thing. The wedding is next Tuesday, so we need to leave early, at the latest tomorrow."
"Should we bring Warmie?" Ophelia was reluctant to leave Warmie behind for several days.
Finnegan also felt reluctant, but the journey was long, and Warmie was too young. He said, "It's too far. Let's leave Warmie with my mom. We'll be back in a few days."
Thinking about not seeing Warmie for a few days, Ophelia hesitated a bit, but she couldn't be selfish and disrespect Prince Wilder and Lady Katherine, so she had to go.
This royal wedding was about a prince marrying a commoner as his princess. The wedding was grand, and it was rumored that the two were classmates who had been in love for ten years, finally entering the realm of marriage.
After breakfast, Ophelia went to accompany Warmie, who was obedient and adorable, instantly lifting Ophelia's mood. She could spend the whole day playing with Warmie and not feel bored in the slightest.
The trip to France was set, and in the evening, Ophelia started packing and preparing. She wanted to bring Tate along, but Finnegan said, "Let's not bring Tate this time. Let her stay here to recover."
"Recover?" Ophelia put down her clothes and asked, "Is she injured?"
She had no idea.
"I noticed Tate was injured when she gave a gift to our daughter," Finnegan said in a deep voice. "This is Tate's private matter. There is no need to ask further."
"So Tate is really injured. She's been out for so long this time, and I've been worried she might have run into trouble." Ophelia didn't see Tate as a bodyguard but as a sister.
Although Tate didn't talk much, having her around made Ophelia feel at ease.
Back at the casino, Tate instinctively stood in front of her to protect her. Ophelia would never forget that scene.
Ophelia pursed her lips and said, "Tate is so distant, not saying a word even when she's injured. I wonder what's her story."
Ophelia was curious, but she wouldn't pry further, respecting everyone's privacy.
"If Tate wants to talk, she will." Finnegan held Ophelia's shoulder. "Darling, time is precious, shall we...?"
Finnegan glanced at the bed, hinting at Ophelia.
Thinking about how Finnegan had worked so hard earlier, making her wake up only by noon the next day and almost making Warmie late, Ophelia quickly said, "I think I hear Warmie crying. I'll go check on her."
Finnegan held her back, a hint of a smile on his lips. "I didn't hear anything, Darling. It's your imagination. You must be under a lot of pressure. Let me help you relax."
With that, Finnegan leaned down and gently bit Ophelia's earlobe, whispering in a low voice, "Darling, do you know the origin of the word 'love'?"
Ophelia was stunned. "No. What do you mean?"
"It was made. Because we have to make love," he said in her ear.
