Chapter 589 Testing Tate

Caspian got more and more excited as he spoke, eager to prove his point.

Tate couldn't be bothered to listen to his rambling and walked out first.

For Tate, everythingwas new.

They sat down at a restaurant near the hospital. Tate ordered waffles and oatmeal.

Caspian asked, "Tate, what happened to you? Why were you in the bushed last night?"

Tate straightforwardly replied, "I don't remember. I don't know."

She was willing to talk because Caspian was the only person she currently knew.

Tate also wanted to know why all this was happening.

Caspian muttered, "Did she really hurt her brain?"

This was a big deal.

Caspian had breakfast with Tate, then bought a new phone and a new SIM card for her.

Since Tate didn't have any clothes, they went to buy a few outfits.

Tate didn't know if she had any money or bank cards; she had forgotten that she had millions in the World Bank.

Every time she spent Caspian's money, she would say, "I'll pay you back later."

She wasn't the type to borrow money and not return it.

Caspian waved it off. "Forget it, it's not much money."

Tate saw rental and job ads on a lamppost by the road.

She had no place to stay and needed a house, as well as a job.

Thinking of this, Tate reached out to Caspian. "Can you lend me some more money? I need to rent a place."

"You're quite straightforward, aren't you?" Caspian muttered. "How much do you need?"

The rental ads wrote the rent was between five hundred dollars and eight hundred dollars a month. This was City N, and rent was expensive.

Tate said, "Ten thousand dollars. I'll pay you back once I settle down and find a job."

Caspian didn't hesitate and lent her ten thousand dollars without a second thought.

He wanted to see if Tate was faking it.

After helping Tate rent a single apartment and buying a lot of daily necessities, Caspian was curious all day.

Previously, Tate had been cold and distant. But now, she was just like a single girl trying to make a living in City N.

Caspian really wanted to ask Tate if she had saved any money from her previous job as an assassin.

But seeing that she had forgotten everything, Caspian didn't bring up what Tate used to do.

Once everything was settled, the next step was to find a job.

Caspian asked, "What kind of job do you want?"

Tate thought for a moment and didn't know what she could do. "Not sure."

Caspian mischievously said, "I think you'd be perfect for a security company or teaching Taekwondo."

An assassin from Moonlight Gate could definitely fight.

Security companies and Taekwondo would be a piece of cake for her.

Tate seriously considered it. "Okay, I'll give it a try."

Caspian was silent.

'It seems her brain really had issues. So obedient,' he thought.

Thinking about Tate's previous injuries, Caspian laughed and said, "I was joking. You're a girl. How could you be suitable for those jobs? Why don't you be my secretary? I'll pay you ten thousand dollars a month, how about that?"

Tate didn't care what she did; the ten thousand dollars was very tempting.

She could pay Caspian back in a month.

"No problem." Tate asked, "When do I start?"

Caspian was silent again.

"No rush, rest for a few days first. You've forgotten everything. You need time to adapt."

Tate said, "I don't."

Caspian curiously asked, "You've forgotten your past, aren't you anxious? Don't you want to know why this happened and what your past was like?"

Tate pondered for a while and said, "I want to know, but I can't remember. I'll just go with the flow, no need to trouble myself."

Caspian gave a thumbs up. He admired her mindset and wisdom.

Caspian casually said, "Then take a couple of days off. Go to Hawthorne's Corporation on Monday. You have my number. Call me if you need anything."

Tate didn't question it. "Okay."

After settling Tate, Caspian hurried to find Finnegan.

He had devoted a significant amount of time to Tate that day, not only to help her but also to ascertain her location, so as to easiler find her later on.

At the hospital.

Finnegan was alone in the hospital; Ophelia had taken Warmie out and hadn't returned yet.

Caspian vividly recounted the events and then asked Finnegan, "Finnegan, do you think Tate is faking it? How could she forget everything all of a sudden?"

After boss's baby, she Escape
