Chapter 159 Ethan Told Daniel to Call Jasmine Sister-in-law

Casey was close to tears, shivering as he looked at Ethan. "Uncle..."

"Come here." Ethan's voice was deep and commanding.

Jasmine, holding Justin, watched Ethan nervously.

She didn't know what he was going to do to the kid.

Casey burst into tears with a loud wail.

"Apologize!" Ethan lifted Casey up to face Justin.

Casey, who looked like a little girl, used to be as plump as a piglet before kindergarten. Though not exactly slim now, he was still fairly delicate.

"I'm...I'm sorry." Casey, scared of Ethan and always heedful of his words, sobbed and hiccupped.

Justin snorted and remained unforgiving, hiding in Jasmine's embrace.

Casey cried even harder.

"Keep apologizing until Justin forgives you," Ethan said, holding Casey aloft with one hand, with no intention of letting his feet touch the ground.

Ethan held Casey's overalls in his hand, the little boy looking comically like he was stuffed into a sack.

Jasmine stifled a laugh and whispered, "Mr. Ethan...he's just a kid, don't scare him."

Casey nodded vigorously. "Uncle, I'm still just a kid..."

"Children who make mistakes have to be punished, or it'll be too late when something serious happens," Ethan said sternly, lifting Casey slightly. "Apologize!"

Even if Lisa were here today, he still needed Casey to learn his lesson.

"Justin, I know I was wrong," Casey pleaded tearfully.

Justin glanced back at Casey, feeling a tug at his heart.

Casey's nose was bubbling with snot.

But Casey had bullied him many times, and Justin was reluctant to forgive.

"Where did you go wrong?" Ethan asked.

Casey looked bewildered, his nose still bubbling.

He didn't understand what he did wrong.

His mother said Justin's mom was a thief, so he thought Justin was a thief too.

His mother said Justin was a wild child without a father, so he called Justin a wild child without a father. "But Mom said..."

Now, he was starting to wonder if his mother could be wrong.

"You're not a toddler anymore. You need to have the ability to discern right from wrong. Is what your mom say always correct?" Ethan furrowed his brow, educating him. With a strong aversion to uncleanliness, he was disgusted by Casey's snotty nose, unconsciously extending his arm further to keep some distance.

His arm strength was incredible, just holding Casey with one hand, making the boy reflect on his actions.

Casey hung his head in timidity. "Mom said Justin is a wild child with no father..."

"Didn't you hear him call me Dad?" Ethan's face darkened.

Casey cried again. "Uncle, I'm sorry."

"Apologize to Justin."

Placing Casey in front of Justin, Ethan warned sternly.

"Justin... can you forgive me? I won't bully you anymore," Casey said in a babyish tone.

"If you bully me again, I'll hit you," Justin warned.

If there was a next time, he wouldn't hesitate to stand up for himself.

Erin had told him when to act instead of getting caught up in arguments.

"No, you hit really hard," Casey whined on the verge of tears.

"If you cry again, I'll hit you," Justin threatened.

Casey dared not cry.

"Milky Way!" Lisa came to pick up her son and seeing Ethan, she gasped in fright, her heart leaping to her throat. "Ethan..."

Casey glanced at Ethan fearfully, hesitant to confront Mom.

"Bad teaching is worse than no teaching at all," Ethan frowned, cautioning Lisa.

Lisa bowed her head, not daring to contradict Ethan.

"Ethan, are you really taking Jasmine and the...the kid..." Kimberly caught her breath, feeling a chill creep up her spine. "To the Douglas Family?"

"You got a problem with that?" Ethan asked coldly.

"No... I don't have a problem," Lisa murmured, keeping her composure until Ethan had ushered Justin and Jasmine into the car. Once they were gone, she lowered her voice and scolded Casey. "Why do you have to follow your father's worthless example?"

Casey's voice was timid as he spoke, head bowed. "Mom, you're wrong, Justin isn't fatherless; he has a dad. Uncle said he's Justin's dad."

"What do you know? You believe a stranger over your mom?" Lisa's irritation was palpable; evidently, she had too many troubles to deal with.

"Uncle's not a stranger..." Casey murmured under his breath.

Although he was afraid of his uncle, he knew that his uncle was part of the Douglas Family, not a stranger.

"You don't understand anything! He is a stranger! Only Uncle Daniel is your real uncle, he's the one who will treat you well, not him. He looks down on you, all because of your no-good loser of a father. That's why he looks down on us!" Lisa, somewhat hysterical, dragged Casey into the car.

Lisa, emotionally unstable, covered her forehead with her hand. "Call your dad and tell him you're sick."

Over the years, she had desperately tried to use her child as a means to cling to Jordan.

After a few times, Jordan simply didn't care anymore.

He didn't care about her, even less about their child.

When Jordan was upset from outside matters, he vented his anger at home on her and the child.

Unable to divorce, he gave her the silent treatment.

Lisa was nearly driven mad by Jordan.

"Mom... why do you always want me to lie?" Casey asked, frightened.

"Who's asking you to lie? What's wrong with lying, anyway? Can't you stand up for yourself? Why are you so useless? What’s the big deal if you say you're sick? It's to make your dad come home and pay more attention to us! Am I wrong?" Lisa screamed frantically.

Casey, terrified, hid in the corner and began to cry.

"Stop crying! Your dad doesn't want us anymore!" Lisa yelled in exasperation.

To hold on to Jordan, she had the child against everyone's advice.

She had thrown away her dignity.

Yet, Jordan trampled all over her pride.

"He's got another woman on the side," Lisa muttered under her breath.

Over the years, Jordan had countless affairs, each with a dancer.

She knew what Jordan was truly after. It was Jasmine that he couldn't forget.

Tonight's family dinner, Jordan initially planned to skip, citing work at the company as an excuse to avoid the Douglas Family gathering. However, the moment he heard Jasmine would be attending, he changed his tune. In a rare move, he decided to join the dinner.

How ironic.

The fatal attraction of a first love—it really is powerful.

With darkening eyes, Lisa's resentment toward Jasmine grew.

Back in their school days, she had slipped a razor blade into Jasmine's pointe shoes to sabotage Jasmine's performance opportunity. Despite the blood soaking through the fabric, Jasmine persisted and danced the entire piece.

Lisa intended to ruin Jasmine but, through a twist of fate, her action earned Jasmine everyone's recognition instead.

It was then that Jordan developed a longing crush on Jasmine.

...

At the Douglas Family dinner, Ethan, with Jasmine in tow and carrying Justin, walked into the Douglas home, leaving the servant's jaws agape.

Jasmine really was a siren. She was now hooking up with their eldest young master.

"Jasmine!" In the living room, Jordan saw Jasmine behind Ethan and nervously shot up to approach her.

"What are you doing here?" Daniel also frowned, questioning Jasmine.

"Are you blind?" Ethan, holding Jasmine's hand, retorted. "She's your sister-in-law."
