Chapter 415 Jasmine Played Innocent
Changing one's name was like changing one's fate.
Ethan had never believed in this before. He didn't believe it when others said it, but this time he did.
He sincerely hoped that after changing her name, Jasmine could change her fate, become independent and strong, and continue to live brilliantly.
"I'll choose carefully." Jasmine thought seriously.
"No rush."
Ethan drove to Capital Hospital and parked in a reserved spot.
"It's so quiet here," Jasmine whispered.
In the past, she couldn't even afford to stay in a regular hospital room when she was sick, but Howard had a private hospital building, a private room, and a personal chef and nutritionist.
"When we go in, if you're not happy, don't say a word. I'll speak," Ethan pointed to himself. He was very good at scolding others.
Jasmine kept nodding. She couldn't say harsh words and wouldn't retaliate when bullied.
Ethan could definitely speak for her.
"What are you doing here!" Claire's face turned dark with anger when she saw Jasmine.
But thinking that Jasmine was the heiress of the Cunningham family, she felt regretful but didn't want to show it.
She hadn't slept well for several days, not just because Howard was sick but also because of Jasmine.
If she had known earlier that Jasmine was the heiress of the Cunningham family, she wouldn't have treated her that way. Now, it was too late.
Daniel had already married Annabelle.
She didn't know if Jasmine still had feelings for Daniel.
"Jasmine." Daniel looked tired, probably having been at the hospital for days.
Jasmine ignored Daniel.
"You're so rude. You shouldn't be called Jasmine," Ethan said in a deep voice.
Daniel's face turned pall. He clenched his hands and wanted to speak but was stopped by Claire.
Claire, with red-rimmed eyes, said, "Ethan, go see your dad. He wants to see you."
Ethan held Jasmine's hand and was about to enter the ward.
"Ethan, your dad got sick because of Jasmine. Don't let her in," Claire pleaded, but she had her own agenda.
Leaving Jasmine outside would give Daniel and Jasmine some alone time.
To see if Jasmine still had feelings for Daniel.
If she did, then let Jasmine and Daniel have a good talk.
If Jasmine chose to be with Daniel, she would definitely force Ethan and Annabelle to divorce.
Ethan frowned. "We are a couple, so we should see him together. If my dad doesn't want to see Jasmine, we'll leave."
He wouldn't let anyone separate him from Jasmine or give anyone a chance to hurt her. That is impossible.
Jasmine also saw through Claire's intentions and smiled at Ethan. "It's okay, you go. Dad's health is the most important."
Jasmine was so gentle and understanding.
Several company directors were watching.
Ethan raised an eyebrow, thinking, 'Jasmine suddenly called Howard "Dad," which was unusual.'
'It seemed Jasmine had some bad ideas again.'
"Okay, wait for me outside. Don't be afraid. Call me if anything happens." Ethan nodded. There were some things Jasmine needed to face herself.
Connor said she needed to go through continuous challenges to reduce her stress response.
"Jasmine, I'm sorry. I didn't know before and misunderstood you," Claire cried as she approached, trying to hold Jasmine's hand.
Jasmine stepped back in fear, suppressing the disgust in her heart.
Claire stopped in her tracks and winked at Daniel.
Daniel hurried forward. "Jasmine, can we talk?"
Jasmine lowered her head, her eyes reddening. "You're already married. There's nothing for us to talk about."
And she shook her head. "I don't want to talk to you."
Daniel became a bit agitated. "Jasmine, you still have feelings for me. I knew you still liked me." He replied as he hurriedly stepped forward.
Jasmine, suppressing her disgust, didn't step back and looked up at Daniel. "You have no right to ask if I still have feelings for you. You treated me so badly back then."
"It was Serena; she deceived me, Jasmine," Daniel anxiously tried to explain, stumbling over his words.
Jasmine sneered, looking away without saying anything.
"Jasmine, if I divorce Annabelle, is there still a chance for us?" Daniel asked, choking up.
"You're already married. Talking about this now is meaningless." Jasmine averted her gaze, not looking at Daniel, afraid she might vomit.
"But Jasmine, you also got a marriage certificate with Ethan," Claire deliberately interjected.
Jasmine angrily responded, "Ethan and I are already divorced."
Claire and Daniel looked at Jasmine in shock, their eyes filled with delight.
"Jasmine." Daniel, somewhat excited, tried to hold Jasmine's hand.
But she ignored him.
"Jasmine, I'm sorry. I know you won't easily accept me. From now on, I'll do my best to make it up to you," Daniel said excitedly, smiling at Jasmine, looking revitalized.
Ever since he found out Serena had been scheming against him, he had been living in a daze.
"Talk to me after you get divorced. I don't trust you anymore." Jasmine stepped back, sneering.
Daniel looked at Jasmine excitedly. "Tomorrow, no, right now. I'll go divorce her right now."
Daniel, in his excitement, was about to run off to find Annabelle for a divorce.
Claire, more composed and smarter than Daniel, said, "Daniel! Don't be impulsive. I know you have no feelings for Annabelle and that she forced you into marriage, but divorce isn't that simple. Let Jasmine give you some time."
Jasmine remained silent, ignoring Annabelle.
"Let's discuss this carefully. Even if you get divorced, we can't let Annabelle take too much advantage. Everything you have will belong to Jasmine in the future," Claire flattered.
Jasmine felt a sarcastic sting inside, her stomach churning.
Back then, she was deceived by Claire's demeanor, thinking both Daniel and Claire were good people. But now, it was truly disgusting.
"Jasmine..." Daniel tried to get closer to Jasmine, but Annabelle emerged from the elevator.
"Jasmine and Ethan are here," Annabelle said, deliberately mocking Daniel. "Daniel, you're still so devoted to Jasmine."
Daniel sneered, looking coldly at Annabelle. "Shut up. No one would think you're mute if you don't speak."
"Annabelle, you've changed so much. You used to be so gentle and kind. How did you become so sharp and mean?" Jasmine said, using Annabelle's old tactics against her.
"Jasmine, don't get cocky," Annabelle snapped, hating when people said she was different from before.
Her reputation was in tatters, all because of Jasmine.
"You shouldn't say that. We were best friends," Jasmine said, hiding behind Daniel, her eyes red.
Claire smiled with satisfaction, thinking Jasmine still had feelings for Daniel.
After all, they had grown up together with deep feelings. How could those feelings just disappear?
"Annabelle! Say one more word about Jasmine, and don't blame me for being rude!" Daniel warned, pointing at Annabelle's nose.
