Chapter 406 Lisa Decided to Divorce
The Taylor family mansion.
Lisa leaned against the door, her face pale, crying helplessly.
Howard was sick, Daniel couldn't come to help her, and no one else was there to help her.
Although she called Ethan, Lisa thought Ethan probably wouldn't come to help her.
Ethan hated them; she always knew that.
Ethan hated Claire, hated Daniel, hated her, and also hated Casey.
He hated Jordan even more.
"Hasn't Jordan come back yet?" Lisa cried and asked the nanny.
"Jordan just sobered up and said he would be back soon," the nanny said nervously.
In truth, Jordan claimed he would return. He deemed Casey's disappearance deserved, even going so far as to suggest Casey shouldn't exist at all.
A black car stopped outside the door, and Ethan got out. "You still haven't found Casey?"
Lisa broke down crying the moment she saw Ethan. "Ethan, we can't find him."
Jasmine also got out of the car and didn't speak to Lisa. She just asked the nanny, "When did you notice Casey was missing?"
"I was afraid Casey was missing. When I came back around seven in the evening, I found Casey was gone. I checked the surveillance, and Casey left home with a doll at 7:15." The nanny was crying anxiously.
Jasmine glanced at the time. "Ethan, it's been almost four hours. Hurry up and find him."
Ethan nodded and spoke in a deep voice. "Where's Jordan? Is he dead?"
Lisa glared at Jasmine with red eyes. "You don't need to pretend to be a good person."
"You're nuts," Jasmine muttered, getting into the car and closing the door.
If it weren't for Casey, she wouldn't care at all.
"Watch how you talk to Jasmine. If you do this again, don't call me," Ethan warned Lisa,
Lisa looked away, but she was somewhat moved in her heart.
At least in her most helpless moment, Ethan didn't ignore her, and Jasmine didn't stop Ethan from helping.
"Call Jordan and tell him to find the child. If he can't find the child, he might as well die," Ethan cursed, then got into the car and drove away.
"Liam, call Raymond. Have them check all the surveillance near the Taylor family villa. Casey is missing," Ethan gritted his teeth and sighed.
"Yes, Mr. Douglas, we'll start looking right away."
"Stop up ahead." Jasmine got out of the car, worried that Casey might be hiding somewhere.
"Casey!"
Jasmine called out Casey's name everywhere.
Although this child had been spoiled by Lisa in the past, he was still a kid and could be educated. After spending some time together, Jasmine had grown quite fond of Casey.
"Casey!"
Ethan followed behind Jasmine, calling out as well.
At the entrance of the Taylor family villa.
Just as Lisa was about to go look, Jordan's driver returned.
Jordan got out of the car, still a bit unsteady on his feet.
"Jordan! Casey is missing. Come with me to find him," Lisa choked up, pleading with Jordan.
Jordan frowned. "I'm not going."
"Jordan! He's your son! Even if you don't like me, he's still your child. You shouldn't treat him like this," Lisa shouted, losing control.
Jordan stopped and frowned. "This child shouldn't have existed in the first place!"
Lisa lowered her head in despair, letting out a laugh through her tears. "You're right, Casey shouldn't have existed. Without him, the Taylor and Douglas families wouldn't have forced you to marry me."
"As long as you understand," Jordan clenched his fists.
"Jordan, come with me to find the child first. Once we find Casey, we can discuss the divorce." Lisa's voice was hoarse.
Jordan paused, frowning as he looked back at Lisa. "You're lying to me again. Every year, you use divorce as an excuse to trick me into coming back! I won't believe you anymore."
"This time, I'm serious." Lisa's eyes burned as she looked at Jordan.
Suddenly, she realized. "It was wrong of me to scheme against you and force you to marry me. Let's get a divorce. I don't want anything. I'll take Casey away since you don't like him anyway."
Jordan's face looked terrible, but he still turned and instructed the driver to find Casey.
He didn't believe Lisa would really divorce him.
"Let's go, we'll find the child."
Lisa followed behind Jordan.
In all their years of marriage, she had never done anything so closely with Jordan.
Jordan didn't like her. They only walked together when visiting the Taylor and Douglas families. As soon as they were out of sight of family, he would immediately avoid her.
"Jordan, why don't you like me?" Lisa asked, "I'm not bad. I'm pretty, too."
Jordan sneered. "Lisa, do you only care about appearances?"
Lisa said nothing.
"You're spoiled, selfish, and malicious. Ever since you transferred to our school, you've been bullying Jasmine at every turn. You're no different from Zelda."
"I never hit Jasmine." Lisa looked at Jordan with reddened eyes.
"You're scarier than hitting someone." Jordan looked back at Lisa. "You incited others to bully and isolate Jasmine. I know everything."
Lisa was stunned for a moment. At that time, as the daughter of a mistress, the illegitimate daughter of the Douglas family, she had just returned to the Douglas family with Claire.
She transferred to a good school full of daughters of wealthy families.
She was afraid of being isolated and fearful of being bullied.
Only now did she remember that when she first transferred, and others called her the illegitimate daughter, the daughter of a mistress, only Jasmine helped her.
But later, she took pleasure in isolating Jasmine.
She knew that if a classmate became the target of bullying, her status as the mistress's daughter would recede into the background.
The whole class of girls bullied and isolated Jasmine because she was too dazzling, too excellent.
She seemed like the center of the world, without a single flaw.
She was the school beauty, almost the girl every boy in the high school department liked.
Afraid of being bullied, she could only join those people in bullying and isolating Jasmine.
Jasmine's personality was weak, and she quickly became the target of isolation by all the girls in the class.
"Lisa, a person doesn't have to be beautiful, but they must be kind," Jordan said in a deep voice and walked straight ahead.
Lisa stood powerlessly in place. In the moment of realization, self-blame felt like a knife stabbing her heart, making life worse than death.
She laughed, a mocking one. "Jordan, you're no good either. You should tear off your hypocritical mask. You don't like Jasmine. What you like is your fragile self-esteem. You're cowardly, ignorant, and unworthy of Jasmine... She should belong to Ethan!"
Jordan didn't look back, but he stopped, his hands clenched tightly, veins bulging.
"Back then, when you heard I was the main inflicter; when you heard those people's plans, you didn't dare to stand up and protect Jasmine. Jasmine liked Daniel because he could stand in front of everyone to protect her! You're a coward! You have no right to judge others. You're truly hypocritical..."
Lisa was somewhat out of control.
"People like you are more hateful and despicable than me. You could have extended a helping hand, but you retreated. Your cowardice means you'll never get the person you love in this lifetime! You deserve to be like me, never getting the one you love! This is our punishment!"
