Chapter 785 Ryan Wants to Marry Fiona
Abigai walked in and saw Nolan, smiling as she spoke. "Mr. Cunningham, long time no see."
They had met before at a party.
Nolan frowned. "What's the matter?"
"Well, I've always admired you, and wanted to be friends with you. Fiona is your sister, so I paid a little more attention to her," Abigai said smoothly, handing a few photos to Nolan. "That day, I saw Fiona was crying by the roadside, so I went over to ask her, but she didn't speak." Abigai started making things up.
"I know she is your sister, Mr. Cunningham, I couldn't just leave her there, so I stayed with her. Not long after, Ryan came and treated Fiona poorly, even mentioning something about scheduling an abortion. I went to the hospital to check and found out Fiona was pregnant." She took out a report from the hospital, which she had someone secretly photograph. Although it was against the rules, she had connections.
Nolan's face grew darker as he looked at the report.
Edgar, standing nearby, was also stunned and suddenly stood up. "Fiona and Ryan are together?"
Nolan glared at Edgar threateningly. "Shut up."
"Come on, they're just dating. Why are you so excited? Besides, Ryan is a good guy, who comes from a good family, and I heard he's a top student and a doctor," Edgar said, thinking Ryan was a good match. "And Fiona is at the age where she should be getting married and having kids. Look, even Jasmine has three kids now."
Nolan gritted his teeth, glaring at Edgar in anger. "Is this about age?"
Abigai panicked a little. She wasn't here to promote a happy union, she was here to cause trouble for Ryan and Betty. "I'm Ryan and Betty's cousin. I'm just being fair. Fiona shouldn't marry into the Willer family. Ryan's good behavior in front of others is just an act. I shouldn't say this, but I can't stand by and watch Fiona marry him."
She sighed. "Mr. Cunningham, you need to stop this. Ryan isn't treating Fiona well. Don't let her get hurt."
Nolan clenched the pregnancy report tightly.
He had trusted Ryan to take care of Fiona, and now he was with her.
"Come on, as Ryan's cousin, you should be supportive. Maybe they're just having a little argument. Why are you badmouthing your own family?" Edgar felt something was off with Abigai.
She panicked and quickly explained. "No, I'm just looking out for Fiona. If it were someone else, I wouldn't stop."
Edgar glared at her. "From what I know about Ryan, he's a good guy."
Then he muttered, "We don't know who is forcing whom. I've heard that Ryan avoids women and has a cleanliness obsession."
"Edgar!" Nolan was furious, feeling that Edgar was biased against Fiona. "I've said it before, Fiona will always be our sister."
"Why are you yelling? Is that what I meant? Don't twist my words!" Edgar was also a bit defiant. "Are you trying to outshout me?"
Nolan didn't want to argue with Edgar. He was already fuming. "I'm going to find Ryan."
Edgar panicked a little. Was he going to fight Ryan?
Abigai smirked. Ryan, that bastard, dared to break up her family. She would make sure he had no peace.
Ryan's place.
For some reason, Ryan sneezed three times in a row, feeling a bad premonition.
"Ryan, I want to eat peeled grapes," Fiona said, busy playing a game without looking up.
Ryan sighed, feeling he might have spoiled her too much.
Fiona seemed to have gotten used to Ryan's care. Since she was sick, Ryan had always taken care of her, even peeling grapes for her.
This had made her picky.
"Drink some water first," Ryan said, sitting next to Fiona and handing her a cup after she finished her game.
Fiona looked at Ryan, the sunlight hitting him, and thought he looked really handsome.
This kind of abstinent doctor like Ryan was more attractive than any popular celebrity.
But Fiona sighed. She was a non-marriage advocate, and so was Ryan.
Before meeting Fiona, Ryan was a staunch bachelor, not planning to marry because it was too troublesome.
So when Ryan met Fiona, he had also said he had no plans to marry.
Now he was suffering the consequences.
"Ryan, we've gone beyond just being friends, haven't we?" Fiona hesitated. "Can I ask you a small favor?"
Ryan's heart started to race.
From a medical perspective, Ryan knew he had long fell in ove with Fiona.
"Go ahead," Ryan hoped Fiona would say something that would make him responsible, even if it meant getting married. He would immediately take her to get a marriage license.
But Fiona just said, "I'm a bit short on money lately. You know, I left the entertainment industry and had to pay penalties. I'm too embarrassed to ask Nolan for money. You know I am a bit awkward."
Fiona started playing the sympathy card.
Ryan sighed, knowing Fiona was about to act. "Just say it."
Fiona smiled, picking up her phone. "I have my eye on a limited edition game character outfit. It's a bit expensive, over a thousand dollars. Can you buy it for me as a token of our friendship?"
Ryan couldn't help but indulge Fiona, putting a grape in her mouth and speaking with a mix of affection and helplessness. "Be my girlfriend."
Starting with a relationship was fine too.
Fiona was stunned for a moment, then looked horrified. "Ryan, you can't abandon your beliefs and be swayed by a moment of confusion! You can't do this. Nolan trusts you so much, but you want to be with me?"
Ryan felt out of place in this world. Taking a deep breath, his Adam's apple bobbed in anger.
"Fiona, that night you drank and pinned me down, taking off my clothes. When I pushed you away, you said I had a sexual dysfunction. When I didn't argue with you, you said I couldn't heal myself. Isn't that so?" Ryan decided to confront Fiona.
Fiona felt embarrassed, covering her face with her hand. "Why bring that up?"
It was in the past.
"First of all, I'm an innocent victim. You had sex with me but don't plan to take responsibility?" Ryan questioned Fiona.
Fiona thought for a moment and then spoke softly. "Didn't we agree to pretend that night never happened?"
Ryan's gaze fell on Fiona's stomach. "But now, there's a life involved."
Fiona's body stiffened. "Saying it like that makes me feel guilty."
If she went for an abortion, wouldn't that be murder?
"I'll marry you," Ryan said seriously.
