Chapter 579: Joe and Justin Prank Claire

Aleah nervously muttered, "Sophia, chill. As long as Richard forgets Betty and remembers the good times we had, I'm sure he'll fall for me again."

Aleah knew Richard used to be head over heels for her.

This time, she schemed her way into Betty's partner company as an assistant, climbing the ladder step by step.

Then she tricked Richard into going out alone, staging an accident far away from Silverlight City.

Betty wouldn't be able to track Richard down that fast.

By the time she did, Richard should've already forgotten about Betty.

At the Bellagio Hotel restaurant, Brandon snagged a table to meet Claire and Ethan, who brought Justin and Joe. Ethan knew what Brandon was up to: letting the kids get their payback.

"Is that the jerk who tried to kidnap me and Justin?" Joe whispered as soon as they stepped out of the elevator.

Ethan raised an eyebrow, silently confirming.

Joe's big eyes darted around, locking onto Justin.

They exchanged a look, totally on the same page.

"There are bodyguards over there. Your kids won't get hurt. Come with me for a sec," Brandon said, pulling Ethan aside.

Ethan shot Brandon a glare. "Are you nuts for setting this up?"

"Stop saying that; it's bad luck. If I were crazy, you'd be wiped out," Brandon said with a cheeky grin, dragging Ethan to a corner. "Guess who I just saw?"

"Spit it out," Ethan urged, impatient.

"Worried about your precious boys?" Brandon asked with a smirk, glancing over.

Ethan didn't bite. He wasn't worried about them; he was worried Claire might blow up and make things messy later.

"Today, Howard brought a new face to meet me, saying he wanted to introduce us. It was a real shocker," Brandon said, all excited. "Howard's really showing his cards now, exposing all his weak spots."

Ethan's face turned dark. The reason he had secretly set up the Raymond Group was because he knew Howard couldn't stick to just Claire, which meant he couldn't have only Daniel as an illegitimate kid.

"Howard hid it well, protecting this illegitimate kid like a hawk. The guy looks a bit like you and is pretty sharp, always studying at top schools in Muskow," Brandon said, leaning against the windowsill. "No wonder he doesn't take you and Daniel seriously. He's got a backup plan."

Both of them had been raised to be useless, and Howard was grooming a new puppet.

Ethan sneered. Too bad Howard made the wrong move.

"Don't blow this up yet," Ethan said, his voice low and angry.

Howard had cheated on his mom; his private life was a total mess.

A guy like that deserved to be taken down by a woman.

"Of course, we won't spill the beans now. It wouldn't be fun," Brandon said with a grin. "But you seem to know him well. Did you already suspect he had other illegitimate kids?"

Ethan stayed quiet for a moment before speaking, "I had my suspicions before, and now it's confirmed."

Brandon nodded, giving Ethan a thumbs-up. "You're sharp, piecing it all together. We can take care of it all at once."

"He wants to hand over his current shares to the illegitimate kid?" Ethan sneered. "In his dreams."

Since Howard publicly promised in front of the board, signed a guarantee, and made a deal with a lawyer, he has to hand over his shares to the one who convinces the Raymond Group to ditch the contract. Howard should give Ethan everything he's owed, leaving nothing behind.

"He came to me wanting to team up, meaning I shouldn't agree to anyone else's terms. He's slick," Brandon said with a grin. "Lucky for you, the Raymond Group is yours. If it were mine, his conditions might've swayed me."

Ethan shot Brandon a glare. "Don't expect to look good in front of my wife."

Brandon immediately straightened up, clearing his throat. "Mr. Douglas, don't be so serious. I was just messing around. I'm not the type to ditch loyalty for cash. Money's nothing; brotherhood is everything! No amount of money can change that."

Ethan ignored Brandon, his face dark and stormy.

His knuckles turned white from clenching his fists so hard.

Brandon knew he was pissed and felt it was unfair for his mom.

Back then, Howard and Claire had murdered Ethan's mom, a wound that would never heal in his heart.

"Howard hid this illegitimate kid and his mistress really well, which shows he isn't completely heartless. He doesn't love your mom or Claire, but he must love this woman," Brandon analyzed. "I've already got someone digging deep. Maybe we can use this woman."

Claire had dirt on Howard. If she found out Howard had another woman and kid hidden away, she'd lose it.

Their struggle would be interesting, but the truth and evidence of Ethan's mom's death were the key.

Meanwhile, Claire showed up two hours early to make a good impression on Brandon.

She waited and waited, only to see a kid.

Joe walked over and sat across from Claire, and they stared at each other.

Claire was a bit annoyed and snorted. "You're Joe, right? Ethan's kid? Where's your dad? Why are you here alone?"

The room was already dimly lit. Joe glanced at Claire and asked, "Can I play with him?"

Joe pointed to the empty seat next to Claire.

Claire was stunned for a moment and instinctively looked at the empty seat beside her. "What are you talking about?"

Joe tilted his head and spoke to the empty seat. "Can you play with me?"

Claire felt a chill and looked around. "What the hell? There isn't anyone here, is it? "

"Yes, there's someone here in black clothes, and over there, someone in white clothes. Can't you see them?" Joe said, covering his mouth in surprise and pointing to Claire's other side.

Claire screamed and stood up, "Stop the nonsense."

As soon as Claire finished speaking, the lights in the room suddenly went out.

Claire screamed again in fright.

Joe continued talking to the air, bouncing a rubber ball on the floor, catching it, and bouncing it again as if he were really playing catch with the air.

"Are you going to take her away?" Joe asked again.

Claire, terrified, tried to leave, but it was too dark to see. She suddenly opened the door and saw a boy dressed like Joe standing outside in the dim light, looking just like him.

Justin tilted his head. "The two people behind you are really scary."

Claire screamed and turned around to look inside the room, which was now empty.

Joe had already crawled under the table.

Claire was so scared she felt faint. She panicked and ran, crashing into a wall and falling.
