Chapter 771 Is Lisa's Undercover Mission About to Be Exposed on the First Day?

Lisa struggled angrily, trying to break free, but Dev held her too tightly.

"Dad! What exactly are they doing?" Lisa demanded angrily.

Mark quickly stood up, glaring at Dev with anger. "What do you think you're doing? Let her go!"

Dev sneered, refusing to let go. "She was eavesdropping outside."

"Bullshit, I just want to know what you guys are up to!" Lisa glared at Dev angrily. "Dad! I thought you were taking me to Muskow, at least to give me a better life than back home. That's why I left Casey with Ethan and Jasmine to come find you first. Good thing I didn't bring Casey here! Look at these people!" Lisa reproached, struggling to break free in anger.

Mark felt a bit guilty but seeing Dev not letting go, he raised his hand angrily, pointing a gun at Dev. "Let her go!"

Lisa pretended to be terrified, screaming and covering her head. "Dad, what are you doing? Is that a real gun?"

Raj spoke up, smiling to soothe. "Lisa, don't be afraid. The situation here is special, we need weapons for self-defense. It's legal to carry guns here."

Lisa looked skeptical. "Dad, I don't want to stay here, I want to go back!"

Mark looked troubled. "Don't be afraid, I'll take you back in a few days after I settle things here."

Lisa went a bit crazy, speaking willfully. "I can't stay here for even a day, it's full of mosquitoes, what is this place! I want to go back, I'd rather rent a place than stay here!"

Mark sighed. "Take it easy, we'll leave soon."

"I'm leaving now!" Lisa turned to leave, but the people outside blocked her with guns.

Lisa turned pale, looking back at Mark.

"Mark, it's not that I don't trust your daughter, but we can't be too careful. You know our rules, we need to search her. How do I know she's not with the police?" Dev squinted his eyes.

Lisa backed away in fear. She had a tracking device given by the police. If it was discovered, they would definitely not let her live.

Mark glared at Dev angrily. "How dare you!"

"Dad!" Lisa took the opportunity to hide behind Mark. "Dad, he doesn't look like a good person."

Dev insisted on taking action, and Mark fired a shot at the ceiling in anger.

Everyone was startled and rushed in.

Raj raised his hand, signaling the others to leave. "Call Sita over to search your daughter, will that do?"

Mark's expression softened.

But Lisa clung to Mark's clothes in fear. "Dad, what are they going to do?"

Mark comforted her softly. "It's okay, it's just the rules here. let Sita search you."

Outside, a gentle-looking woman with lifeless eyes walked in, like a robot, and began to search Lisa.

Lisa backed away in fear, but Dev blocked her.

Lisa gritted her teeth and had to comply.

Sita started searching from top to bottom, even taking off Lisa's earrings, and only returned them after confirming there was no problem.

Finally, Sita's gaze fell on Lisa's necklace.

Lisa's forehead was sweating nervously.

"Please take off the necklace for me to check." Sita said mechanically.

Lisa shook her head in panic. "Dad, you know this was left to me by Mom. I've been wearing it since I was thirteen, it can't come off."

Lisa indicated that the heirloom necklace couldn't be taken off.

Mark looked at Raj. "This was left to her by her mother, I can vouch for it. What could be done with a necklace? Don't go too far."

"The police's technology is more advanced than ours. Even a tooth needs to be checked, let alone such a big necklace." Dev gritted his teeth, suddenly stepping forward to grab Lisa's chin, forcing her to open her mouth to check her teeth.

Lisa cried in fear, looking at Mark.

Raj finally let go, pushing Lisa away.

"Take the necklace off." Sita insisted.

Lisa looked at Mark in fear.

Mark gritted his teeth. "Take it off and show her."

Lisa had to try hard, pretending it was difficult.

She was tense all over, watching Sita nervously.

Damn, once it's off, Sita should be able to notice something. Although the necklace was intricately designed, there was a small hole that could be seen if looked closely.

"Bear with it." Sita said calmly, forcefully pulling the necklace off Lisa's neck.

"This was left to me by my mom, you better not break it." Lisa gritted her teeth, threatening Sita.

Sita looked up at Lisa, carefully examining the necklace.

Suddenly, Sita stopped moving her fingers, glancing back at Raj.

Lisa was nervous, her whole body trembling slightly.

Raj also sat up straight, squinting his eyes.

Everyone's nerves were tense, Lisa even heard the sound of Dev cocking his gun behind her.

Sita slowly nodded. "No problem."

Lisa instantly breathed a sigh of relief, her legs a bit weak.

Raj lay back on the sofa, laughing heartily. "Mark, your daughter is spoiled, not used to living here. Let her stay in the attic with the women."

Lisa reached out to take back her necklace, suspiciously looking at Sita.

Since Raj had Sita check, it meant Sita was very experienced and should be able to find the necklace had a problem. Why didn't she expose her?

"Sita, take her to the attic to choose a room." Raj waved his hand, seeming to relax his guard.

Mark snorted, then sat back down. "Alright, let's talk business."

Lisa followed Sita out, Sita walking ahead without looking back.

Lisa wanted to ask but wasn't sure, so she didn't dare make a sound.

While going up the stairs, Sita lowered her voice. "Are you with the police or Steven?"

Lisa frowned. "Steven?"

Sita looked back at Lisa warily.

Lisa then realized, those people mentioned killing Steven tomorrow.

If Lisa was Steven's people, infiltrating Raj's side, that was impressive.

"They're going to kill Steven." Lisa tried to probe. "I heard it."

Sita's steps suddenly froze, looking back at Lisa nervously, her voice slightly tense, speaking softly. "Once Steven comes, he can't escape. If you can notify him, I'll cover for you."

Sita led Lisa into a room. "Remember, Raj and Dev, will never truly trust anyone. Don't let them find out, or no one can save you. You will definitely die, and..."

Sita looked around, closing the window. "You'll know what hell is. They will make you die miserably."

Lisa turned pale with fear. After all, she was a pampered rich girl, never been to such a place. She swallowed. "I can't send out a message now."

Only satellite positioning could determine her location, but there were signal jammers all around. Only satellite phones can make and receive calls, it's so difficult to send out messages here.

Sita paced back and forth nervously. "Then I'll have to take the risk."

She had to find a way to get the message out.
