Chapter 242 Ethan's Method to Amuse His Wife

"Hi everyone, my name is Mitchell."

When they were having dinner, the atmosphere was a bit tense. Mitchell took the initiative to greet them, trying to ease the awkwardness. However, the atmosphere became even more uncomfortable.

Jasmine looked around, and Ethan sat there in a gloomy mood, not eating. He glanced at Joe from time to time, then at Justin. Occasionally, he moved his fork, serving food attentively to the two children.

"Dad?" Justin looked at Joe and Ethan, speaking softly. "Dad, did Joe make you angry?"

"No, not at all." Ethan didn't know why he was being asked this.

"Okay." Justin took a deep breath, unable to stand Joe's attitude anymore.

"My son cares about you." Edgar looked at Ethan resentfully.

"Shut up," Ethan wanted to say. 'He's mine. Everyone here except for Edgar and Mitchell is mine.'

"Ethan, can you give me something to eat?" Casey tried to ease the atmosphere.

Ethan's eyes were fixed on Justin and Joe, his expression intimidating.

"You eat well." Ethan gave Casey some food. "Eat less meat, you have excessive nutrition."

Mitchell touched his nose. Everyone chose to ignore him.

"You eat well, too," Jasmine said to Mitchell to ease the awkwardness.

Mitchell seriously ate.

This meal made Mitchell uncomfortable.

Under the table, Ethan kept kicking Mitchell, signaling him to finish eating and leave.

At the same time, he signaled him to take Edgar with him.

Mitchell understood, thinking of the car, and hit the table. "Edgar, do you like cars?"

Edgar snorted arrogantly, "Of course."

"Ethan bought a new car, it's not bad. I'll take you for a drive. Silverlight City has a racetrack, so let's go check it out." Based on Mitchell's investigation of Edgar, he liked extreme sports.

He liked racing, rock climbing, and parkour.

"Silverlight City has a legal racetrack?" Edgar's eyes instantly lit up.

"A private racing club." Mitchell glanced at the time. "We're going late. Everyone from the Silverlight City club will be there today."

It was a game for the wealthy. They claimed it was racing, but it was really just a competition to see whose car was better in terms of performance, configuration, and price.

While Edgar was distracted by Mitchell, Ethan managed to borrow one of his sports cars.

This opportunity was rare.

Edgar immediately became interested. He forgot about his son and Jasmine, urging Mitchell to hurry.

Mitchell turned around and winked at Ethan.

Ethan chose to ignore it.

"My dad ran away again," Joe sighed.

"He is unreliable. Have you ever considered getting a new dad?" Ethan looked at Joe seriously, with a negotiating posture.

Joe glanced at Ethan and shook his head. "Although my dad is unreliable, he raised me. Without him, I would have died a long time ago." Joe spoke maturely, sighing.

He made Ethan feel guilty.

At that moment, Ethan felt like he had received a huge surprise from God.

He had a hard time accepting it.

"That's what happens when you have two dads," Ethan said.

Joe said indifferently, "You're trying to take over my mom."

Justin giggled, covering his mouth. Ethan worked hard to be with Jasmine. "My dad is great. He can protect me and Mom."

"My dad can, too," Joe said defiantly.

"My dad is handsome," Justin huffed.

"Justin is right," Casey chimed in.

"My dad is the most handsome," Joe huffed as well.

"My dad and Mom got married," Justin said.

"Justin is right!" Casey nodded while eating.

"My dad can also marry Mom," Joe said, feeling aggrieved.

Jasmine almost choked. She couldn't handle polygamy.

That night, Ethan, who used to dislike children the most, surprisingly bathed the three children with Jasmine.

The children were mischievous, which gave Ethan a headache.

But he seemed to enjoy it.

Joe and Justin were still trying to outdo each other's dads.

Their claims became more and more exaggerated.

"I'm so tired," Ethan complained as he lay on the bed after bathing.

The children were too mischievous.

Although he said he was tired, Ethan couldn't help but smile.

These two little guys were actually his sons. It was amazing.

He needed to think about this.

"You seem different today," Jasmine whispered as she came out of the bathroom.

In the past, Ethan only paid attention to Justin. Was he in a good mood today? He even bathed Joe and Casey.

He washed the three children thoroughly as if disinfecting them.

"What's different?" Ethan felt guilty and pulled Jasmine into his arms.

"I can't put it into words." Jasmine squirmed, tickled by Ethan's hold, and laughed as she nestled in his arms.

"Don't move," Ethan hoarsely warned.

Jasmine dared not move.

Ethan kissed her forehead while holding her, softly speaking. "Justin..."

Ethan felt guilty, so he couldn't bring himself to ask about the children.

What was he doing at that time? Why did he leave Jasmine alone?

He hated himself for it.

That sense of guilt made Ethan ache.

"What's wrong?" Jasmine didn't know what Ethan wanted to ask.

"Were you scared when you gave birth to Justin?"

"Yes." Jasmine had been avoiding this topic because it almost cost her life. "But it was worth it."

She didn't say much. There was no need to bring up those past scars.

As a mother, she didn't consider herself special.

"Go to sleep." Ethan tightened his grip on her hand.

Ethan's phone rang.

The ringtone indicated that it was a call forwarded from Jasmine's side.

He frowned and glanced at his phone. It was Evan's call.

It was already late at night, but Evan kept calling Jasmine.

"What's up?" Jasmine asked in a low voice.

"Nothing. Liam is probably drunk and got lost on the way to the hotel with his girlfriend," Ethan casually lied.

Jasmine laughed. "Does Liam do this kind of thing often?"

"Yeah, he's always been mischievous since he was a kid," Ethan continued, complaining about Liam and trying to amuse Jasmine. "When he was in college, he had an online relationship and arranged to meet a net friend in another city. He went to a fancy hotel only to find out that the girl he was so in love with was actually a much taller man."

Ethan spoke with a helpless tone, "He tried to run away but got caught. He hid in the bathroom crying and called me to rescue him."

Jasmine laughed so hard she had to cover her mouth.

"Online relationships should be cautious," Jasmine said, bursting into laughter.

Ethan smirked and lightly patted her back.

He could make his wife laugh because of Liam's antics.
