Chapter 748 Ethan Had No Choice But to Act

Betty looked at Steven coldly. "You're so full of yourself, and I'm loving it."

"Don't be stubborn, though I do like your stubbornness," Steven chuckled. "I'll give you time to think, but not too much."

He stood up and glanced at his watch. "I'm in Silverlight City for business recently, should be there for about a month. Betty, I'm spoiling you too much, giving you a month to sort out your mess."

Betty clenched her hands tightly.

She wanted to deal with Steven first within that month.

The Cunningham family.

Ethan's little princess was still crying.

Cordelia named the little princess Ellie, which meant Jasmine was Ethan's one and only.

Ellie cried a lot, whereas Richard and Betty's daughter smiled more.

Ellie had just learned to crawl and was being amused by Nolan and Richard.

Jasmine, just waking up, saw Richard's daughter and picked her up with a smile. " Indigo is so cute."

Betty named her daughter Indigo.

"Where are Richard and Betty?" Jasmine asked, puzzled. "Just left Indigo here?"

Ethan, feeding Ellie a bottle, nodded. "Richard said there was something at home, and just left."

"How trusting," Jasmine laughed.

After a while, Raymond arrived.

"Ethan, I need to talk to you," Raymond said, leaning against the door with a smile.

Jasmine had to take the crying Ellie, letting Ethan go handle his business.

Ethan walked to the door and looked at Raymond. "The police couldn't find Mark? Did he escaped from Silverlight City?"

Raymond shrugged. "You guessed it, but it's worse than you think. We only know William left Mark some money, but it's not enough to cover his expenses with allies and investments in several companies."

"He has other sources?" Ethan frowned.

"The black market," Raymond whispered, afraid Jasmine would worry. "Dark web, transactions in places like Silverwood, you get it?"

Ethan nodded. "Just say it."

"Recently, there's been a crackdown, but for some reason, ports, coasts, and places like Kerea have become rampant again. Someone helped Mark escape, meaning he has value. I found out he's involved in some illegal trades in Silverwood from years ago, and he's a key figure."

Raymond took out his phone. "You know about Betty being kidnapped to Silverwood years ago, right? If it weren't for you and Ryan putting in a lot of effort, she wouldn't have been saved. Aurora Peninsula isn't a place everyone can come back safely."

Ethan's face darkened. "Seems like Mark isn't fully dealt with."

"Back then, to save Betty, all clues pointed to the Dark web and black market handlers, which are tied to the Hughes family in Muskow. Betty got into trouble because she married Steven." Raymond sighed. The Willer family was indeed evil-minded back then, pushing Betty into the abyss.

It was more than just an abyss.

"Isn't Brade still in Silverlight City?" Ethan asked Raymond to keep an eye on the Hughes family.

Maybe they could find Mark.

"I came to talk about that," Raymond whispered in Ethan's ear.

Ethan's eyes sharpened instantly.

Brade was in trouble.

It seemed a bigger conspiracy was about to unfold.

"Not only that, Amara and Mark are also deeply connected to the Dark web. The mastermind behind this network is terrifying and hard to deal with." Raymond said.

"He better not mess with us," Ethan's voice was low.

"I'm afraid we won't run away," Raymond sighed. "The calm before the storm won't last long. We need to strengthen ties with Vincent. The black market dealings in Muskow, Vincent is not easy to deal with."

"Do I need to beg him?" Ethan snorted.

"Don't count your chickens before they hatch." Raymond laughed. "If someone attacks Jasmine, how will you, a righteous businessman, compete with underworld tactics?"

Ethan instinctively glanced at Jasmine. "If so, I will make them pay the price!."

"What if they target someone Jasmine cares about?" Raymond hinted.

"Speak plainly," Ethan realized Raymond was here to get information.

"Richard might be in trouble," Raymond handed his phone to Ethan. "Someone saw Steven in Silverlight City."

"Who is Steven?" Ethan's voice rose.

"Steven, Betty's ex-husband. This guy is impressive." Raymond explained.

Ethan's Adam's apple bobbed as he took a deep breath.

Betty married Richard because Steven was presumed dead, but now Steven was back. What about the marriage?

Richard didn't seem like a match for Steven.

"Richard is in big trouble," Raymond also took a deep breath. "You better advise Richard to divorce quickly. Betty can't handle Steven, and Steven is really untouchable."

"Don't talk nonsense, don't you know Richard?" what a tubborn man, Ethan rubbed his temples. "Looks like this storm can't be avoided."

If Steven targeted Betty, he would definitely go after Richard.

Richard was Jasmine's brother, and Jasmine was Ethan's wife.

How could he not get involved?

"This is no joke. Steven isn't like Sophia, playing house. Dealing with Sophia and Howard, Mark was already tough. Steven is really dangerous."

"Madmen." Ethan shouted.

Betty's residence.

Richard got out of the car and sensed something was off at home.

Silas lowered his head, hesitant to speak.

Richard glanced at Graham. "What's going on?"

Graham looked away and coughed. "Go in and see for yourself."

Silas opened his mouth. "Richard, stay calm. You know, if someone comes back to life, what do we do?"

Richard looked at Silas, confused.

"What happened?" Richard was puzzled.

Before Silas could finish, Steven walked out with his bodyguard.

Richard stood there, stiff, unable to react.

However, Steven, passing by Richard, gave him a cold glance without stopping.

It was disdain, indifference, and disregard.

Steven didn't see Richard as anything, not even as a living being.
