Chapter 675 Connor Studied Psychology for Ethan

Jasmine had just arrived at the Douglas Group when she heard someone causing trouble.

"Can a woman manage the company? With Ethan gone, even Bradley is better than her."

"Yup, even if it's not Bradley, which one of us isn't a long-time employee? Which one of us hasn't contributed to the Douglas Group? Even if it were our turn, it wouldn't be hers. Who does she think she is?"

Jasmine leaned against the door, listening to the arguments and discussions in the conference room.

The person speaking was Sawyer Shaw. Jasmine had learned about him when she was Ethan's assistant.

This guy was a typical two-faced person, saying one thing and doing another behind the scenes. He was Claire's man, but not obviously, because he was also Howard's man.

In short, whoever had the most benefits, he would work for them.

Now that Howard was dead, Claire was just temporarily in jail, not permanently gone.

With Mark around, he believed it was only a matter of time before Claire came out to take control of the company.

"Do you know why the Douglas family is called the Douglas family? Don't think about it. We're just employees." Another senior executive tried to calm things down.

"But Yasmine doesn't even have the last name Douglas. Just because she gave Ethan two sons?" Sawyer was still ranting.

Jasmine clapped her hands, applauding him.

Sawyer turned around and glanced, seemingly not expecting Jasmine to be there at that time. "Ms. Cunningham is here."

Jasmine walked into the conference room with a smile. "Mr. Shaw, you speak well. I just gave Ethan two sons. From the way you talk, do you also want to give Ethan children? Too bad you can't."

Sawyer slammed the table in anger. "What did you say?"

"A few days ago, there was such a big incident at the company, a safety accident! Reporters and family members were causing trouble downstairs. Where were you old employees who contributed to the company?" Jasmine asked with a smile.

Leaning on the table, Jasmine spoke again, "Why did you make a woman like me come forward while you all hid?"

The senior executives were silent. Jasmine had indeed handled the situation well so that they couldn't find fault.

Sawyer was angry that he couldn't rally these people.

He knew Mark, Deborah and Owen caused all of this.

"Now that everyone is in the conference room, is there something important?" Jasmine looked at those who had already lowered their heads.

Handling the Douglas Group's public relations crisis should have shown these people Jasmine's decisiveness and skills.

With the Cunningham Group backing her, Jasmine had the confidence and resources to stand in this position.

Moreover, Jasmine's ability to merge the LY project with the Douglas Group's new energy project was quite an achievement.

Her abilities were no less than a man's.

The senior executives weren't fools. They wanted more benefits and to follow the right person, not to bring down the company.

"Nothing much." The senior executives exchanged glances and stood up. "We'll get back to work."

Seeing them leave one by one, Sawyer's face turned red with anger, and he also tried to leave.

Jasmine raised her hand to stop Sawyer. "You don't go. Let's talk."

Sawyer snorted and pushed Jasmine's arm away, but as soon as he reached the door, Tom roughly grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back.

"What are you doing!" Sawyer looked at Tom angrily.

Tom and Ben closed the conference room door and just stared at him.

Jasmine smiled. "It seems the conference room's surveillance is broken."

Sawyer's face turned even paler with fear. "What do you want?"

Jasmine sat in a chair and placed a few of Sawyer's scandalous photos on the table. "Your mistress is quite pretty. Does your wife know? I heard your wife is Miss Diaz. You got your position by marrying the Diaz Group director's daughter. Too bad you don't appreciate it."

Sawyer's hands went numb with fear. "Ms. Cunningham, what do you mean by this?"

"What do I mean?" Jasmine smiled. "If your wife knew you were cheating, and Mr. Diaz knew you had an illegitimate daughter, what would they do?"

Sawyer nervously lowered his head, panicking for a long time before speaking, "What do you want me to do?"

"Tell me, how many people has Mark planted in the company?" Jasmine asked calmly. She needed to root them out before Ethan returned.

Otherwise, Mark would always be a hidden threat.

"I don't know." Sawyer still tried to resist.

Jasmine nodded. "I don't have much patience. Tom, send those photos to his wife, Mr. Diaz, and the company group chat."

"Okay." Tom eagerly prepared to send them.

"Don't send them. I'll tell you!" Sawyer quickly stepped forward to stop Jasmine. "But if I do it, Mark won't let me go. They will really kill me."

"Don't worry. I know what I'm doing. I still have use for you and won't let Mark kill you." Jasmine began to turn him.

Sawyer quickly nodded. "Okay, okay."

Mark originally used the mistress to control Sawyer. But unexpectedly, it also gave Jasmine leverage.

"If you don't want to die, you'd better not let Mark know." As she left, Jasmine threatened.

Sawyer quickly nodded in fear. "Yes."

Outside the conference room, Ben asked, "Do we need to deal with them quickly?"

"No, take it slow. We'll quietly collect evidence of their crimes and mistakes in the company. When the time is right, I'll fire them all." Jasmine was playing a game with Mark and those behind him.

Since it was a game, she couldn't reveal all her cards too soon.

It was almost over. Soon, she would root out those behind it and remove all dangers and obstacles for Ethan.

Her light would soon return.

She pondered, 'Hold on a little longer, Jasmine. Hold on a little longer, Ethan.'

"Go back and rest."

Jasmine had been busy at the Douglas Group all day and hadn't left the office even at midnight.

Ben felt a bit sorry for her and spoke softly, "If not for yourself, do it for the child."

Jasmine was silent, looking down at her belly. "This child came at a bad time."

"You asked me to investigate Ethan's maternal family. I found some information, but I am not sure if it will help you." Ben handed a document to Jasmine.

"When Ethan was a child, he was kidnapped. The kidnappers demanded three million dollars from Howard to ransom him. Howard pretended not to hear the kidnappers' call. By the time Ethan's mother found out, the kidnappers had held him for three days. Later, his mother and grandfather worked together to rescue him. After that, he showed signs of autism for a long time."

"Ethan's most trusted friend used to be Connor, and the reason Connor studied psychology was for him."

Connor initially studied psychology to save Ethan.

But later, Connor met Jasmine.

He brought two people who needed redemption together in different ways.
