Chapter 684 Will Jasmine Spare Daniel?

Brandon frowned, gripping Bradley's neck with one hand and slowly applying pressure. "How credible are you? I clearly warned you not to meet with anyone from the Hawthorne family, yet you still came. Are you saying you have no ulterior motives?"

Bradley struggled to breathe, his face turning red.

If he didn't come, Owen would keep pestering him and create more misunderstandings.

Neither Brandon nor Jasmine truly trusted him.

"I should never have saved you. I should have let Claire's people kill you." Brandon pushed Bradley away, slamming him against the car door again.

Bradley's vision blurred. He had never had any hope in Brandon, so he wasn't too disappointed.

But why did it still hurt?

The feeling of not being trusted, of being treated like a pariah, was still so painful.

"He's an illegitimate child."

"His dad is someone else's dad."

"His mom is a mistress!"

From childhood to adulthood, it seemed he had never been trusted.

This was his original sin, so he had no right to be sentimental.

"Think whatever you want. If you regret it, next time I'm about to be killed, just don't save me," Bradley said, lowering his head, holding his aching shoulder, and trying to leave.

Brandon frowned, grabbed Bradley's wrist with one hand, opened the car door with the other, and shoved him inside.

Bradley's waist hit the car frame, his face turning pale from the pain.

Brandon had no intention of being gentle, slamming the car door shut, which hit Bradley's knee.

Bradley clutched his knee in pain, curling up and glaring angrily at Brandon.

"What do you want to do?"

Brandon got into the car, warning Bradley. "If you dare to open the door and get out, I'll break your hand."

Bradley clenched his fists, glaring at Brandon. "I said I wouldn't fight for it. What more do you want?"

"Can your words be trusted?" Brandon sneered, hitting the gas and driving off. "If I see you meeting Owen alone again, I'll make you disappear."

"Ever since Ethan had an accident, you've been acting crazy," Bradley said sarcastically. "If it's just brotherly love, isn't that a bit much?"

Brandon looked at Bradley like he was an idiot. "If you want to die, just say so."

Bradley didn't say anything, but his waist hurt so much he could hardly sit still.

"Owen wants you to fight for the Douglas family?" Brandon asked in a low voice.

"You already know, so why ask?" Bradley was still angry.

Brandon frowned. "Do you think I'm being too lenient with you?"

Bradley didn't respond. Brandon had saved him, and he owed him.

Besides, if he left San Fransisco, he didn't know where he could go.

He didn't even have a place to stay now.

Ever since he came here, everything felt like a dream. When he woke up, he had lost everything.

"Owen wants me to fight Jasmine so they can benefit from the chaos," Bradley said quietly.

"So you know exactly why he's looking for you? I think I've been too gentle with you lately." Brandon turned the steering wheel sharply, driving into an underground parking lot.

After parking the car, Brandon dragged Bradley out. "What should I do with you? Should I just kill you? Or lock you up? Wait until the Douglas family crisis is over, then let you out?"

Bradley's waist hurt so much he could barely stand, glaring angrily at Brandon. "Do whatever you want! If you have the guts, just kill me."

"You think I don't dare?" Brandon grabbed Bradley by the collar and dragged him into the elevator. "Illegitimate children like you shouldn't exist in this world."

Bradley and people like Daniel were a stain on Ethan.

Bradley didn't say anything, struggling to breathe as his collar choked him.

"If this happens again, I won't let you off easily." Brandon thought Bradley was playing tricks, trying to secretly contact Owen.

Slammed against the elevator wall again, Bradley couldn't stand the pain and crouched down.

His previous injuries hadn't healed yet.

Now, it wasn't just Owen watching him.

Owen, at most, wanted him to fight for the Douglas family and disrupt the internal situation.

But some people wanted him dead.

If he died, Daniel would come out and get more shares.

Mark was still scheming for Daniel.

"Stop pretending. You're so dramatic." Seeing Bradley crouched on the ground, pale-faced, Brandon felt unlucky.

Even a touch would injure him.

Bradley didn't say anything; he was in pain.

His waist felt warm, probably bleeding again. He had just gotten stitches yesterday, and the impact in the car must have torn the wound open.

"Get in." Brandon ordered Bradley to get out of the elevator and into the house.

But Bradley just crouched there, not moving, as if he couldn't get up.

"Are you done?" Brandon tried to pull Bradley up, but Bradley pushed his hand away.

"I'm not going to your house," Bradley said angrily, leaning against the wall to stand up, looking at Brandon warily. "I'm going back to the hotel."

"Afraid I'll kill you?" Brandon sneered. "From now on, I'll be watching you 24/7."

Bradley wanted to escape; he didn't want to be in the same room as Brandon.

He was afraid he might really die at his hands.

"What's wrong with you?" Brandon frowned, grabbing Bradley and trapping him in front of him. "I suggest you don't provoke me."

Bradley, in too much pain to stand, grabbed Brandon's collar. "Don't touch me."

Brandon's face darkened, smelling the heavy scent of blood.

He pulled open Bradley's coat and saw that his clean shirt was already soaked with blood.

Brandon was momentarily stunned, shocked. "How did you get hurt?"

"It's none of your business." Bradley stubbornly tried to leave.

Brandon had people watching his every move 24/7. When he went to see Owen, Brandon knew immediately, but when he was almost killed by Mark's people, Brandon didn't know.

How ridiculous.

At the Douglas Group, Jasmine sat in her office, overwhelmed with company matters.

Ian had taken the lead in the new energy sector, and Deborah had announced a partnership with Ian.

All the pressure was on Jasmine.

Everyone thought Jasmine couldn't handle it.

Because she had lost Ethan.

"Ma'am, Mark is here to see you." Ben knocked and walked in.

Jasmine looked up at Ben, having anticipated Mark's visit.

Lately, Mark had been trying hard to get Claire and Daniel out.

He was probably here to negotiate terms.

"Let him in."

Mark walked in, his arm in a sling, looking injured.

He must have been fighting with Owen.

"Do you need something?" Jasmine asked indifferently.

"The current situation of the Douglas Group is a bit difficult to handle, isn't it?" Mark said directly. "If you are willing to sign an MOU to outline the terms of our agreement not to pursue Daniel, I can help you solve your problems."

Jasmine laughed. "Just you?"

Mark took a deep breath. "I have dirt on Owen, enough to make him back off for a while."

Jasmine raised an eyebrow.

The offer was tempting.

But unfortunately, she had worked hard to get Daniel into prison.
