Chapter 778 Can Lisa Survive?
Richard smiled but said nothing.
Raymond pointed to the table. "Alright, we just got a call. This is the location and the specific direction of the hostages and the trafficked women. Let's figure out how to cooperate with the police to rescue them."
"This place is too remote. Its biggest advantage is the inconvenient transportation, making it easy to defend and hard to attack. Raj has thousands of armed men. To get people out safely from them, we need a solid plan," Steven frowned.
Driving in was impossible.
They must have checkpoints every 50 feet, with lookouts. There's only one road in, and they'd definitely be spotted.
"We can only go on foot, trekking through the woods and over the mountains." Steven said.
But it's easy to get lost in the mountains in this season, and there's no signal.
"We need a foolproof plan," Raymond said nervously.
He couldn't take risks, nor could he let anything happen to Lisa.
Raj's base camp.
Screams and cries echoed from the base camp from time to time.
Lisa had been living in a nightmare during this period. Those dozen girls were constantly being abused. She couldn't help them and could only pray that the police would find this place soon.
"What are you doing?" Dev asked in a deep voice from behind.
Lisa screamed in fright, trembling as she looked at the distant house. "Why are you so cruel?"
Dev sneered. "Do you want to go in too?"
Lisa gritted her teeth, holding back her hatred. "Aren't you afraid of punishment?"
"Punishment?" Dev laughed, grabbing Lisa's hair and dragging her towards the small house.
"Haven't you been watching this place lately? Then have a good check." Dev dragged Lisa into the small house.
"Let me go," Lisa struggled in fear, crying and shouting for him to let go.
The door opened, and a man walked out cursing. "They couldn't take it, one of them died."
Inside, there were originally sixteen beautiful women, now reduced to fifteen.
Dev forced Lisa inside.
After a while, Lisa couldn't help but run out, her stomach churning, and she vomited on the ground.
It was too cruel. They weren't human at all.
Dev leaned against the door, taking a cigarette from a subordinate. "I told you, mind your own business here, don't wander around, got it?"
Lisa looked at Dev with hatred. "You will be punished."
Dev was indifferent, sneering. "Really? Then let me see what my punishment is."
Lisa clenched her fists, saying nothing more.
She could only pray that the police would come soon.
"You better listen to me. I know what you're up to. Stay away from the hostages in the north yard and don't try to get close to these women if you don't want to die." Dev grabbed Lisa's hair, lowering his voice in warning. "If Raj suspects you, you won't live, understand?"
Dev was afraid Lisa was too stupid and would make Raj suspicious, which would be dangerous.
Lisa said nothing. She knew she had been too conspicuous lately.
"Go back," Dev released Lisa, letting her go. "Don't come out for a while."
Lisa got up, trembling as she ran back.
It was terrifying.
She couldn't forget the scene in the small house just now, trembling with fear.
She wanted to go home.
She was afraid she would die here.
She knew it was dangerous, but she didn't really want to die.
Curled up on the bed, Lisa hugged her legs and cried.
These days, she had been crying almost every day, having nightmares every night.
She couldn't take it anymore. She didn't have such strong mental resilience.
In Main hall, Raj sat on the sofa, smoking.
Mark was discussing with him how to kill Steven when the phone suddenly rang.
Mark looked at Raj warily, his eyelid twitching inexplicably.
Raj answered the phone.
On the other end was a heavy voice. "You idiots, you've been spotted. Someone leaked your coordinates. The Silverlight City police have surrounded you."
Raj's face darkened, and he sat up straight.
Hanging up the phone, Raj looked deeply at Mark.
Mark frowned, knowing something was wrong.
Raj picked up a gun and fired a shot.
Outside, the subordinates and Dev rushed in.
"Someone leaked the coordinates. The police are already nearby!" Raj said through gritted teeth.
Dev's eyelid twitched.
Raj looked at Dev. "Go kill Lisa."
Mark was furious, standing up. "Raj, what do you mean?"
"Mark, don't force me to take action against you too. Ever since Lisa came, there hasn't been a moment of peace here," Raj said through gritted teeth, clearly suspecting Lisa.
Dev frowned.
Raj was furious. "Go!"
Dev took a deep breath, nodded, and turned to leave.
"Dev! If you touch my daughter, I'll kill you!" Mark lost control, trying to stop him, but Raj's men pinned him to the ground.
"If I die, you'll all go down with me," Raj said angrily. "Take the hostages and those women and move them first."
The subordinates nodded but didn't return after going out.
The police and Richard's men had already broken into the north yard where the hostages were, protecting them.
Meanwhile, the women huddled in the corner in fear, and Steven led his men in.
A conflict broke out outside, causing chaos.
Raymond followed in, frantically searching for Lisa.
But she wasn't among the women. "Have you seen this woman?" Raymond held up a photo of Lisa.
One of the women nodded. "She lives in that small building up front."
Raymond panicked and tried to rush out, but Steven held him back. "Are you crazy? This isn't Silverlight City."
There were bullets flying everywhere outside, going out was a death sentence.
"Lisa is probably very scared right now," Raymond whispered, hiding by the door.
He had to go.
"Have you lost your mind?" Steven cursed, ordering his men to cover him.
"Thanks, I'll repay you later," Raymond whispered, then dashed out.
Attic.
Lisa hid under the bed in fear, trembling all over.
She knew the police were coming, and Raj and Dev must have found out too.
She wouldn't survive.
"Lisa! Get out here!" Dev kicked the door open, cursing angrily.
Lisa cried in fear, trembling all over.
Dev reached under the bed and dragged Lisa out, pointing a gun at her.
Lisa trembled all over, looking at him.
Her eyes were full of tears. Knowing she was going to die, she still stubbornly cursed him. "Scum, you will be punished."
Dev was furious, pressing the gun to Lisa's forehead, but hesitated to pull the trigger.
He still fired, but the shot hit Lisa's thigh.
Lisa curled up in pain, screaming until she couldn't breathe.
"Whether you live or die depends on your fate," Dev said, his voice trembling, then quickly left.
Lisa was in so much pain she was about to faint, losing more and more blood. She couldn't hold on.
She was probably going to die here.
