Chapter 859 Jasmine Unconditionally Supports Ethan
Lisa left the hotel and walked towards the alley the other party mentioned.
Her leg injury hadn't fully healed yet, and her muscles still hurt when she walked, causing her to limp subconsciously.
"I'm already in the alley, where are you?" Lisa called the other party.
At the end of the alley, a person walked out and signaled Lisa to follow.
Lisa took a few steps forward and spoke cautiously. "I want to see Raymond."
"He's in the car," the person indicated for Lisa to get in the car.
Lisa had no other choice and walked over, being pushed into the car.
But Raymond was not in the car at all.
"Where is he?" She asked angrily.
The man in the car slapped Lisa. "You better keep quiet. You'll see him when we get to the destination."
Lisa took a deep breath, enduring the pain, and sat quietly in the car.
As soon as they left, a black sedan followed them.
Before Lisa went downstairs, she called Richard again, asking him to cooperate and find Raymond first.
She was worried that something might happen to Raymond.
"If Raymond dies, I won't cooperate with any of you," Lisa said angrily, deliberately diverting the attention of the people in the car, fearing they would notice Richard following them.
"If you don't cooperate, he will definitely die," the person sneered, seemingly having many ways to make Lisa obey.
Lisa clenched her hands tightly and spoke again. "If I don't see Raymond, I won't say anything."
With Lisa attracting attention, Richard's car followed smoothly without being noticed.
These people weren't very smart, just ruthless.
They took Lisa to a warehouse in the suburbs and forcibly dragged her out of the car.
Lisa looked at the barely breathing Raymond lying on the table, her face pale. "Raymond!"
Lisa rushed over, nervously checking Raymond's condition. He was seriously injured. "He needs treatment!"
A person walked out of the warehouse, and it was Kavi.
He knew he couldn't excel in Silverlight City, so he chose to return to Muskow as soon as possible.
Since the item is with Daniel, he should use Lisa to threaten Daniel and make him hand it over.
Unfortunately, Raymond had protected Lisa too well.
Due to the Long family, Kavi hadn't harmed Raymond, but now he had no choice but to take a gamble.
The item he wanted was too important.
"Lisa, call Daniel and tell him to hand over what I need, or you'll watch him die," Kavi said calmly.
Lisa shouted uncontrollably. "Take him to the hospital now, he'll die!"
Kavi remained unmoved.
"If you take him to the hospital, I'll contact Daniel right now," Lisa cried, begging Kavi to save Raymond.
Lisa knew Kavi wouldn't save Raymond and could only pray that Richard would come up with a solution quickly.
Kavi had his men hand a phone to Lisa. "No tricks, call Daniel."
Silverlight City
Daniel received the call, nervously looking at Jasmine and Ethan. "Richard was right, they took Lisa and will definitely contact me."
"Answer it, don't be nervous," Jasmine told Daniel.
Everything was going according to plan.
Daniel nodded and answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Daniel, do you know what the hell Mark left behind before he died?" Lisa asked nervously.
"I've been looking for it too. I found it a few days ago," Daniel said nervously, trying to appear natural.
After all, he, Jasmine, and Ethan had been searching for that so-called evidence for a long time.
They even opened Claire's urn to check.
"It was found in Mom's urn," Daniel said again.
Lisa took a deep breath and spoke nervously. "Hand it over, I..."
Before Lisa could finish, Kavi snatched the phone. "Daniel, you should know who I am. Lisa is with me now. If you want her to live, hand over the item."
"Don't hurt Lisa!" Daniel stood up in panic.
"If you want her to live, go to Starlight Plaza within an hour and give the item to my people. If you play any tricks, I'll kill her." After speaking, Kavi hung up the phone.
Daniel looked nervously at Ethan. "I did as you said. If anything happens to Lisa..."
"Now you are worried," Ethan snorted, disliking Daniel. "Your priority now is to find what Mark left behind."
"Where else do you want me to look? I've even dug up my mom's grave, and you still want me to open her urn. Are you on purpose?" Daniel said angrily, and the two were about to argue again.
Jasmine rubbed her temples.
"Keep arguing, and Lisa will be killed faster," Jasmine warned Daniel. "If you don't trust us, leave."
"He provoked me first, why don't you say anything to him?" Daniel felt aggrieved, clenching his hands.
Jasmine naturally defended Ethan. "He's my husband, of course, I'll side with him."
Daniel felt like salt was being rubbed into his wound and sat on the sofa in silence. After a while, he suddenly stood up. "Is it possible we've been looking in the wrong direction?"
Daniel looked at Jasmine. "The item might really be in an urn, but not my mom's?"
Jasmine also looked back at Ethan in surprise.
Was Daniel referring to Howard's urn?
Did Mark really put the evidence in Howard's urn?
Ethan made a silencing gesture. "Let's split up. You and the police take this encrypted USB drive to the people at Starlight Plaza to buy time."
"Jasmine and I will go check Howard's grave," Ethan said, pulling Jasmine out.
"Be careful," Daniel said to Jasmine.
Jasmine nodded. "You too."
Ethan frowned, feeling jealous, and pulled her into the elevator, trapping her in his arms. "Don't say unnecessary things to him."
"Okay," Jasmine responded.
Ethan looked serious, unsure of the situation in Muskow.
Warehouse.
Kavi had made thorough preparations but was still followed by Richard and Steven's people.
"Take Raymond away!" Lisa shouted.
Kavi's men restrained her, holding a dagger to her neck.
Richard looked at Kavi cautiously. "Let her go."
"Raymond can't hold on any longer. Please, don't worry about me, take him away!" Lisa cried, begging Richard.
Richard had no choice but to check on Raymond's condition first.
But they all knew that this time, they had alerted Kavi. Taking Raymond away would mean a dire fate for Lisa.
If Kavi didn't get what he wanted, Lisa would definitely die.
Even if he did, Lisa would still die.
In Silverlight City, they hadn't actually found Mark's item. It was just a bluff to force Kavi into a desperate move.
