Chapter 267 Liam Finally Beats Up Daniel

In the bedroom, Wilson secretly stood by the window and looked outside. She hid behind the curtains, only revealing her head. At first, she couldn't hear clearly what was being shouted downstairs. Her left ear was still deaf. She stuck her head out and finally heard someone shouting her and Ethan's names.

Ethan came out of the bathroom and saw Wilson wearing pajamas, bending over with her head buried outside the window, only revealing her waist, hips, and straight legs. Ethan raised an eyebrow, curious about what Wilson was doing. As he walked over, he heard the cries from downstairs. "What are you looking at?"

Ethan hugged Wilson from behind and pulled her into his arms. Wilson was startled and looked nervously at Ethan. "It seems like Daniel. He's gone crazy, shouting downstairs and even throwing bottles." Ethan squinted and took a glance outside. Daniel stayed up all night and came to shout for Wilson.

"Ethan, I beg you to give Wilson back to me," Daniel kept shouting.

A gloomy expression appeared on Ethan's face. "Where were you earlier?"

"You shouldn't go down and fight." Wilson hugged Ethan tightly, afraid that he would go down and fight with Daniel, causing trouble.

"Am I supposed to fight with him in the middle of the night?Fight with him while I'm not sleeping at night? I'm not crazy," Ethan said angrily. Wilson sensed that Ethan was angry and quickly reassured him. "No, don't be angry. Let's pretend we didn't hear it."

"He came to Cunningham Enterprises to find you?" Ethan asked through gritted teeth. Wilson nodded, feeling a bit guilty and afraid of Ethan's anger.

"Why didn't you call me?" Ethan held Wilson horizontally in his arms and carried her to the guest room. The guest room was far from the yard, so they couldn't hear Daniel's cries.

"Nolan helped me," Wilson whispered, hugging Ethan's neck. This made Ethan even angrier, and he carried Wilson into bed. Wilson felt a bit flustered and nervously looked at Ethan. "Ethan, I got’m on my period."

Ethan rubbed his nose against Wilson's forehead. "I won't touch you, I just want to hug you."

Wilson didn't trust Ethan.

As Ethan thought more and more about it, he became angrier. "When Westing's project is over, you'll come back."

"No," Wilson replied, holding up three fingers. "Nolan insists on paying me three times the salary of Stellar Enterprises. I don't know who he's trying to spite."

Wilson smirked, knowing that Nolan was trying to get back at Ethan.

But three times the salary meant $7,200. Of course, she wanted to earn that money!

"Am I bankrupt?" Ethan snorted.

Wilson hugged Ethan and patted his back. "We need to be prepared. In case Howard does something, I'll be able to support you and Justin."

Wilson said seriously.

Ethan smirked. "You go earn Nolan's money, we can't let it go to waste."

Nolan had the audacity to bully Wilson.

Less than twenty minutes later, Liam arrived.

He had been busy with Ethan's affairs these past few days.

Liam saw Daniel sitting drunkenly on the ground, crying and shouting Wilson's name. He felt helpless.

The young master of the Douglas family was so heartbroken over a woman.

This wasn't the most embarrassing part. The most embarrassing part was that he was the one who ruined Wilson.

"Mr. Daniel Douglas, how dare you come looking for Wilson?" Liam knew that Daniel couldn't understand anything in his current drunken state. "Do you know how many injuries she has? Her ears are still not functioning properly. Do you think you deserve to live?"

"You're shameless."

"Claire caused Wilson to spend five years in jail. She could have been released earlier if it weren't for you and Serena. She was the last one to get out."

Liam took the opportunity to kick Daniel.

He looked around and made sure nobody was there, then he threw a punch. "Bastard, how dare Howard bully me and kick Mr. Ethan Douglas out."

Liam was extremely angry.

Liam beat up Daniel and called the police. "Officer, there's a drunkard with a bottle causing trouble in our neighborhood."

Then, the intoxicated Daniel was taken away by the police.

In the early hours of the morning, Claire stormed into the police station, demanding to take Daniel away and blocking any release of information.

She slapped Daniel twice. "If you embarrass me again, I'll pretend you're not my son!"

Daniel had sobered up by now. His face was pale, with bruises around his mouth, clearly indicating that he had been beaten.

But he couldn't remember what had happened.

"Danny, you look at yourself now! Clean yourself up. Tomorrow, you're going with me to the Cunningham's Family. If you dare to embarrass me like this, get out of the Douglas Residence!"

"You're such a useless son of mine."

"If you had half of Ethan's intelligence, would I have had to work so hard all these years?"

Claire continued to scold as she got into the car.

Daniel leaned back in his seat, took a deep breath of despair, and slowly exhaled.

That suffocating feeling came back again.

What should he do to make her happy?

Did he have to become a puppet in order to do so?

The next afternoon.

The Cunningham Residence.

"Willian, your daughter has been found and wants to marry into the Douglas family. If you don't come back, never come back to this house again," Cordelia warned Willian over the phone in a low voice.

"Are you sure it's really her this time and not someone pretending to be her?" Willian sounded somewhat impatient on the other end of the phone.

"Whatever." Cordelia hung up the phone directly.

Willian was irrelevant to her now.

The reason Cordelia hadn't divorced him yet was because she wanted to have control over everything in the Cunningham's Family. She had promised Bill to support Nolan well and tmake the Cunningham's Family go further.

As long as she didn't divorce, it didn't matter even if Willian had a mistress.

She had no demands for Willian. He had already been sidelined. Besides the trust fund, he had no shares in the company. The fund was not inheritable. If his mistress wanted to have a child with him, then go ahead. But he shouldn't think about taking any money from her.

His illegitimate child could forget about fighting for the family property in the future.

The Cunningham's Family's property was all hers and had nothing to do with Willian.

Soon, Willian called back. "I’ll'm flying back tomorrow."

On the other end of the phone, a woman asked softly, "Willian, are you coming going back to Silverlight City? Can you take me with you?"

Cordelia's hands trembled. She clearly didn't care anymore, but still felt angry.

After hanging up the phone, Cordelia covered her forehead.
