Chapter 725 Lily Wants to Kill Ethan and Jasmine

The paper showed: [Lily, fire, the evidence is in their hands, they are out to get you.]

Emily's handwriting was already blurred. But it was faintly visible that she had written.

Jasmine looked at Ethan in shock.

Ethan's face darkened as he looked at Raymond.

"The fire, Xavier's death, it seems it wasn't just Deborah's calculated accident, it has something to do with Lily."

Emily must have known Lily's secret, and Lily had no choice but to silence her.

"If it really was her, she has a cruel heart." Jasmine's voice was hoarse, her hands clenched tightly.

If Emily was really killed by Lily.

Jasmine would never let her get away with it!

Trembling all over, Jasmine leaned against Ethan, her eyes red. "I won't let her get away with it."

"I will find out the truth." Raymond glanced at Ethan. "Don't alert the enemy, just take care of Jasmine as if you don't know anything. We don't have any evidence right now, and alerting Lily might make her destroy the evidence."

Ethan nodded. "Jasmine, for Emily's sake, you have to stay strong."

Jasmine nodded vigorously. She wouldn't let Emily die in vain. She knew the note was meant for her.

The paper meant Lily and her accomplices were plotting against Jasmine.

Emily had escaped to warn her. Jasmine wished Emily had betrayed her instead of dying.

Back at Lily's place, Jasmine leaned weakly against the sofa, her face pale.

"Jasmine," Lily's eyes were swollen from crying, and she spoke guiltily. "It's all my fault, I really didn't know those people would kill Emily."

Jasmine clenched her hands tightly, closed her eyes, and after a long time, she spoke, "It's not your fault either. I just can't accept it right now."

To avoid alerting the enemy, Jasmine had to choose to endure for now.

Lily cried and knelt in front of Jasmine. "If I hadn't kept Emily by my side to help me, this wouldn't have happened."

Jasmine reached out to help Lily. "Don't be like this."

Lily reached out to hug Jasmine, but Jasmine instinctively dodged. "I'm not feeling well, my stomach hurts a lot, I want to go rest."

Jasmine got up and went back to her room.

Lily watched Jasmine, her hands stayed in place, and her eyes gradually turned cold.

Lily thought, 'No one could always protect or support me. I had to protect myself.'

Ethan glanced at Lily. "Jasmine and Emily were close, don't take it too much to heart."

Lily nodded and sat on the sofa. "Any news from the police?"

"They found out the kidnappers were from San Fransisco and Bostan, and they've already left Kerea. The target has been locked, and Raymond has completed the paperwork. After the body can be cremated in a few days, we'll go back," Ethan said, sitting beside her.

Lily cried even harder. "I really didn't expect this."

She hadn't expected Emily to be so tough.

That night, someone found her, brought evidence from the fire, and revealed Xavier's death was a murder, not an accident. Surveillance from the house opposite the rental had captured Lily luring Xavier inside and closing the door.

Lily was terrified; she didn't want everything she had worked for to be destroyed or handed over to someone else.

The other party proposed a condition: cooperation to deal with Jasmine and Ethan.

She had no choice but to agree. She had to do it for herself; there was no other option.

But Emily had overheard everything when she went downstairs for milk in the middle of the night.

Lily hadn't seen Emily in the kitchen. When the person left, Emily emerged, and Lily discovered her.

Lily cried and begged, but Emily insisted on calling Jasmine. In a panic, Lily knocked Emily out with a vase and had the other party take her away. Lily hadn't wanted Emily dead; she had wanted to use threats and money to make her compromise.

But somehow, Emily died, which meant she had resisted to the end, standing by Jasmine.

What could Jasmine have given her that Lily couldn't?

Why would Emily rather have died than betray Jasmine?

Lily had been good to Emily too.

"Emily was a good person," Lily said hoarsely.

"I won't let those who hurt her get away with it," Ethan said meaningfully.

Lily's fingers clenched, knowing Ethan was threatening her.

Lily was afraid of Ethan; she knew his capabilities well.

But she couldn't continue to be afraid now; she had to survive.

She had to protect herself.

To prevent Ethan and Jasmine from finding out the truth and destroying her, Lily decided to strike first.

"Madam," Ethan returned to the room, and her subordinate came over and whispered. "The police found some strange symbols at the scene."

Lily glanced at it, her face changed. "Did the police perform an autopsy?"

The subordinate nodded. "I heard they did. But they said it was fatal external injuries, no suspicious findings."

Lily breathed a sigh of relief but then shook her head. "We can't be careless, I can't leave any hidden dangers. Find a way to get rid of Ethan and Jasmine when they leave Kerea."

"If Ethan can't get on the plane, that would be easy," the subordinate whispered.

Lily clenched her hands tightly.

They forced her into this.

Emily's body was cremated, and on that day, Jasmine wore black clothes and a small white flower.

She saw Emily off for the last time, wearing Emily's bracelet on her wrist.

"Emily, don't worry, I will find out the truth and won't let you die in vain," Jasmine said solemnly, taking off her sunglasses.

Lily held her waist, choking up. "Emily, rest in peace."

Jasmine coldly held the urn. "Lily, we're about to leave, take care of yourself."

Lily nodded. "Jasmine, you too."

Jasmine and Ethan got into Raymond's car, with Ben and Tom following in another car.

Lily glanced at the person holding the umbrella beside her. "Is everything arranged?"

"They bought tickets for the 3 PM boat today, and people have been arranged in advance." The subordinate nodded.

Lily's eyes gradually darkened.

She thought, 'This really isn't my fault. Blame this world for being too cruel to me.'

In the car, Raymond glanced at the rearview mirror. "Someone is following us."

"Let them follow." Ethan's voice was icy.

"The boat tickets haven't been canceled, we've already switched to plane tickets," Raymond said in a low voice. "We'll return as soon as possible."
