Chapter 758 Betty's Daughter's Clothes Have Needles
Ethan's face darkened, and he frowned at Tom.
Tom was so carefree that he still didn't know Juniper had orchestrated such a big scheme back then.
If he found out that Juniper and Desmond were in trouble...
"What's wrong?" Jasmine noticed something was off with Ethan.
Tom and Connor noticed it too.
"What happened?" Tom asked.
Ethan was silent for a long time before he spoke. "Tom, you're an adult now. You can't really leave Desmond's company to be managed by outsiders. You have to..."
"I'm not cut out for that. My dad hired people to manage it, and I just take the dividends. It's great," Tom said cheerfully, because when Juniper left, she had restored all of Tom's credit cards.
"Besides, my parents just went on a trip. They will come back, right?" Tom said with a smile. "When they come back, I'll continue to reply on them."
Connor's face also changed. The reason Ethan asked this must be because something happened to Juniper.
Juniper actually knew that by planning all this, she would definitely offend Mark and the people behind him. She had already been targeted. She and Desmond chose to leave Silverlight City to protect Tom.
Only this way, Mark wouldn't target Tom.
"Tom, you're not a kid anymore. You need to take care of your family. Your parents can't take care of you forever," Ethan said solemnly.
The atmosphere suddenly became oppressive.
Tom was a bit confused and started to get nervous. He smiled and said, "Why are you suddenly lecturing me? Don't be like this, you're scaring me."
Jasmine also looked at Ethan nervously.
"Fly with me to Silvershore tomorrow," Ethan said, looking down.
Tom pointed at himself, confused.
"Your parents were in a car crash in Muskow," Ethan said again.
Tom stood frozen, his eyes visibly reddening, but he still smiled and said, "You're joking, right?"
Ethan didn't say anything.
Tom frantically took out his phone and called Juniper.
But she didn't answer.
"Answer the phone," Tom said anxiously, tears welling up but still stubbornly saying, "You must have been tricked. There's a time difference. My mom must be sleeping. If she picks up, she'll definitely scold me."
Tom kept dialing, his voice trembling.
But no one answered.
Connor looked at Tom and spoke softly, "I'll go with you guys tomorrow."
Tom looked at his phone, losing control. "It's impossible. How could my parents have a car accident? Are them okay?"
Seeing Ethan not speaking, Tom understood.
They must be gone.
But Tom couldn't accept it for a moment. "No, I don't believe it!"
Tom turned to run.
"Tom!" Connor wanted to chase after him.
"Let him be alone for a while," Ethan said softly.
Connor was silent, then spoke again, "Mark was taken away, which means he still has value. If we can't find Mark, we'll never know what he'll do next."
Ethan remained silent.
Connor took a deep breath. "I'll go check on him."
Connor left, leaving only Jasmine and Ethan at home.
Jasmine held Ethan's hand.
She knew Ethan was very sad.
After all, Juniper was his aunt.
Ethan lost his mother when he was a teenager, and Juniper had always been good to him, almost like his mother.
"I knew something would happen if Juniper went out. But I couldn't stop her," Ethan said, blaming himself.
"We've done what we should," Jasmine hugged Ethan. "Juniper said before she left that everyone should be responsible for the path they choose and always walk it firmly, without looking back or regretting."
Juniper did it to protect Tom.
"She entrusted Tom to me. I can't let anything happen to him," Ethan said hoarsely.
With Mark's nature, he would eliminate all threats. He wouldn't just target Juniper, he would also target Tom.
"We cannot remain passive, nor can we allow harm to befall Tom," Jasmine said firmly, looking at Ethan.
"I will find Mark, that bastard," Ethan said, clenching his fists, his voice restrained.
Fragrant Hills Villa.
Vincent also received the news of Juniper's car accident.
Before Juniper passed away, Vincent had just received a night scene photo from her.
He looked at the photo and smiled, but then he started crying.
Vincent frantically pulled at his hair, losing control and burying himself.
After Celeste died, the only person who was good to him was Juniper.
Juniper contacted him almost every day, even when she was in Muskow.
He looked through his chat history with Juniper. She greeted him every day, and not a single day was left behind.
[Remember to eat well.]
[I saw the weather report. It's going to be windy there. Stay safe.]
[Remember to get some sun.]
Juniper treated Vincent like a son, tirelessly sending messages day after day.
At first, Vincent found Juniper annoying, but slowly, he got used to her daily greetings.
He came back for Juniper and Celeste, to take care of the mess of the Hamilton and Douglas families.
But now, they were both gone.
"Mark deserves to die," Vincent said hoarsely, crushing the wine glass in his hand.
"Have you found out who took Mark?" Vincent's voice was low, sounding mad and terrifying in the night.
"It's Amara," came the low voice from the other end of the phone.
Vincent sneered. "Ok. Where is she?"
"Amara is still in Silverlight City. She made people believe she left, but she hasn't. We don't know what she's waiting for," the voice on the phone said softly.
"Waiting to die," Vincent said, releasing the broken glass, letting the blood drip to the floor. "I want to see her by tomorrow, no matter what it takes."
"Kidnap her?"
"Dead or alive," Vincent said in a low voice.
"Got it."
Hanging up the phone, Vincent leaned back on the sofa. "These pests deserve to die."
With one waved down, another to go.
Then kill them all.
The Willer family villa.
Betty sat on the sofa, checking the custom-made clothes for Indigo one by one.
"What's this?" Betty frowned, seeing a needle in one of the clothes.
Luckily, she always checked Indigo's clothes before putting them on her.
The nanny turned pale with fear and said nervously, "I don't know what happened. The clothes were just delivered today. We haven't had time to wash them. How could there be a needle?"
Betty's face darkened, gripping the clothes tightly, and angrily said, "Steven."
Was he threatening her with her child?
Then she called Steven.
"Finally willing to call me?" Steven answered, his voice lazy.
"Did you put a needle in my daughter's clothes?" Betty asked angrily.
Steven's voice was low. "Do you think I would do something so boring?"
