Chapter 418 Cordelia Hits Dean

Evelina squinted her eyes and asked, "Are you blind? Can't you see I'm hitting someone?"

Willian's mouth twitched in anger, and he pointed at Evelina. "You! You're just..."

Willian couldn't finish his sentence and took out his phone to call Alex. "Evelina's gone crazy! Get over here and take her away!"

On the other end, Alex spoke in a deep voice, "Why are you yelling? Lower your voice, don't scare her."

"I'm not yelling. I can't scare her. You need to come over and see; she's scaring me!" Willian's hand trembled with anger.

Sophia pretended to be weak, crying as she hid behind Willian. "Willian! They're crazy."

Sophia's back hurt badly, and her face was swollen.

Evelina let out a cold laugh and raised the stick, ready to hit again.

Willian shielded Sophia, grabbed Evelina's stick, and took it away.

"Cordelia, what are you trying to do? We agreed not to contact each other, and now you're bringing your friend here to hit people. What do you want?" Willian threatened Cordelia with a dark expression. "I told you years ago that what happened between Sophia and me isn't just her fault; you share the blame, too."

"If you..." Willian was about to scold Cordelia further.

Cordelia finally stood up from the sofa, walked over to Evelina, and extended her hand towards Willian who frowned and inquired, "What are you doing?"

"The stick," Cordelia demanded.

Willian, afraid of Cordelia, handed it over.

Cordelia took the stick and motioned for Evelina to step back.

Evelina smirked and took three steps back.

Cordelia weighed the stick in her hand. "You're right; Sophia being your mistress for so many years isn't just her fault. It's not just her who deserves to be hit."

With that, Cordelia raised the stick and struck Willian.

Willian winced in pain. "Cordelia, are you crazy?"

Cordelia ignored his cries and continued to hit him, first on the legs, then on the back.

Willian gritted his teeth, wanting to fight back several times, but seeing Cordelia, he held back. "Fine, go crazy. You're a lunatic."

"Stop, stop, if you want to hit someone, hit me," Sophia cried, hugging Willian as if they were ready to die together.

Cordelia, tired from hitting Willian, looked coldly at Sophia. "You brought this on yourself!"

Cordelia swung the stick at Sophia.

In reality, she just wanted to scare her.

But Willian instinctively shielded Sophia, taking the hit for her.

Cordelia sneered. "You two are really touching."

She threw the stick aside and left.

Evelina glanced at Sophia and Willian and left as well.

At the door, Evelina asked, "The kids are grown, and Jasmine has been found. You should divorce him."

Sophia clenched her hands in caution; she couldn't let them divorce just yet.

She had to off Cordelia before she and Willian split to make sure he kept their joint assets.

Willian's face was also grim as he looked at Cordelia, saying nothing.

"I promised Dad I wouldn't initiate a divorce." Back then, she traded her happiness for all the Cunningham family shares.

Cordelia had made a promise.

"Then let him initiate it!" Evelina looked angrily at Willian. "If you truly love the woman in your arms, you should initiate the divorce so both of you can be free."

Willian sneered. "You want a divorce? That's impossible."

He won't get a divorce. He won't.

"You're really spineless," Evelina mocked, glaring at Sophia, "You think you're so great, but after all these years, you still can't get Willian to marry you."

Sophia looked away, saying nothing.

Not only could she not get Willian to divorce, but after being with him for over twenty years, she knew she never truly had his heart.

Willian still had feelings for Cordelia. If she hadn't been smart and manipulative, he would never have kept her around for over twenty years.

"Let's go," Cordelia said calmly.

After all these years, she didn't really care anymore.

Whether they divorced or not didn't matter to her.

Anyway, their daughter was back, and their family of five would live well.

As for Willian, he could do whatever he wanted.

Downstairs.

Evelina was about to get into the car with Cordelia when she saw a black car pull up. Alex rushed out, looking anxiously at Evelina. "Evelina, are you okay? Did he..."

Evelina ignored Alex, shook off his hand, got into the car, and closed the door.

"Evelina," Alex called out anxiously.

Their car didn't stop, so they drove away.

Alex rubbed his forehead and cursed in frustration.

In the car, Evelina looked at Cordelia. "We've found out that Sophia is May's biological sister. So, back then, it was Sophia who masterminded the baby switch, and May carried it out."

Cordelia's face darkened. For a moment, she really wanted to kill Sophia.

"That woman named Samantha, who claims to be May and Sophia's cousin, must know some secrets we haven't uncovered." Evelina squinted her eyes.

"Drive to Samantha's place now," Cordelia ordered in a deep voice.

The driver nodded.

"Earlier in the living room, I think I heard Samantha mention something about Guadalupe. Did you hear that?" Evelina asked.

Cordelia shook her head. "I didn't catch it."

"Then let's go ask her."

The car drove towards the old houses in the demolition area. As they got closer, they heard someone crying.

Cordelia frowned and told the driver to go ask around.

The driver got out and saw a few young people in their twenties and thirties crying loudly.

"Mom, you died so tragically."

"The driver who hit you ran away. Mom, you died so tragically."

The driver asked around and then returned to the car.

"Samantha is dead. She was in a car accident and died on the spot. The driver fled."

Cordelia and Evelina's faces darkened. "Sophia has gone completely insane."

She no longer cared about family ties.

With Samantha dead and May also in trouble, there were probably very few people left who knew Sophia's true secrets.

Taking a deep breath, Cordelia bit her finger. "I now have reason to believe that Sophia doesn't want Willian to divorce."

"Why?" Evelina asked.

"She wants me dead." Cordelia squinted her eyes. "Willian and I are married, and I hold the most shares in the Cunningham Group. If I die, my shares become marital property, and Willian is the primary heir."

Evelina's face changed. "Driver, turn around. I'm going to kill her!"

Cordelia grabbed Evelina's hand and shook her head. "Killing her is easy. We need to make her suffer."

Sophia had been planning to get the Cunningham Group's shares for over twenty years.

"Tomorrow, I'll hold a board meeting and distribute my shares equally among the four children, completely crushing her hopes," Cordelia said in a low voice.
