Chapter 454 Jasmine Seeks Help from Her Brother
Jasmine, still a bit out of it, pulled out her phone and had Samuel add her on Facebook.
Samuel snorted and said arrogantly, "Just because I added you on Facebook doesn't mean you can bug me whenever you want. Only message me when necessary, or I'll block you."
Seeing Jasmine stay quiet, Samuel added with disdain, "And don't say hi to me when you see me. You're out of style."
Jasmine looked down at her outfit, confused. Ethan had picked these clothes for her, saying it was how everyone dressed on campus and that it would help her fit in better. Otherwise, she'd stand out, and the teachers wouldn't like her.
She had never doubted Ethan's taste before, but now she was starting to question it. More than one person had said she dressed ugly. Could Ethan's taste really be that bad? Did he like ugly things?
Jasmine began to doubt herself. Was she actually ugly?
On a whim, she asked, "Samuel, am I ugly?"
The question caught Samuel off guard. After a moment of silence, during which he stared at Jasmine's face, he suddenly blushed and looked away. "Stop using these tricks to seduce me."
Jasmine watched Samuel walk away, feeling even more doubtful. She touched her face and turned to Amelia, asking, "Am I ugly?"
Amelia was indignant. "You're beautiful, even prettier than the artists signed by my dad's company."
Jasmine didn't believe her; she thought Amelia was just trying to make her feel better.
Amelia helped Jasmine get lunch again and planned to sit down and eat, but a few girls stopped them. Clearly, they weren't going to let Jasmine and Amelia off easily.
"What's your name?" Desiree asked in a deep voice.
"I don't want to tell you," Jasmine said bluntly.
Desiree's expression changed instantly. "Well, just you wait. Let's go!"
The girls glared at Jasmine before leaving.
Jasmine said nothing and went to have lunch with Amelia.
Amelia added, "You'd better be careful; they don't mean well."
Jasmine nodded. "I need to ask you about two people. Is Samuel the grandson of Ulysses?"
Amelia thought for a moment and shook her head. "I don't know. I just know he's not someone to mess with. Our classmates don't dare provoke him."
Jasmine nodded. "Do you know Xavier Powell?"
Amelia looked at Jasmine, glanced around, and lowered her voice. "Why are you asking about him? He's a psycho."
"What?" Jasmine was stunned.
"I heard he killed someone and was sent here by his family," Amelia whispered.
Jasmine's mouth fell open. He had killed someone. That was scary.
"I heard he killed someone while studying in Country H. He's a very dangerous person," Amelia said, taking a bite of food and suddenly crying.
Jasmine was at a loss. Why was she crying?
"How can you eat this stuff?" Amelia said while crying.
She had now decided that Jasmine was a poor kid.
"It is pretty good," Jasmine said in confusion, not understanding why Amelia was crying.
In the past, Amelia would never eat in the cafeteria, no matter how down and out she was. Now she was just a homeless child.
Amelia wiped her tears and snorted, "I can live well on my own."
Jasmine felt sorry for the young girl and whispered, "You're not alone. We're roommates and friends."
Amelia nodded. "You're right."
After finishing their meal, Jasmine took Amelia back to the dormitory, only to find their luggage thrown out. Inside the dorm, Desiree was sitting on Amelia's bed, smiling. "Sorry, but I applied for this room with the teacher. It's mine now."
Desiree's gaze fell on Jasmine. "And you, someone who dresses so poorly, don't deserve to stay in a double room."
As Amelia rushed forward to argue with Desiree, Jasmine held her back.
Jasmine sighed, contemplating whether to call Ethan. But she knew Ethan didn't want her to stay in the dormitory, so he would definitely take the opportunity to bring her home. Thinking of this, she decided not to call Ethan.
"Don't hold me back. I have to teach her a lesson today," Amelia said, rushing forward while Jasmine was lost in thought.
Jasmine couldn't hold her back and had to let her go. However, they were outnumbered, and Amelia lost the fight.
As the situation worsened, Jasmine quickly went to protect Amelia, getting scratched on the face herself. Jasmine was stunned; her face hurt badly.
"Amelia, look at you now. How pitiful!" Desiree sneered, watching Amelia get beaten and thrown out of the dormitory.
Amelia, looking disheveled, was pulled out of the dorm by Jasmine. Sitting on the stairs at the entrance of the dormitory building, Amelia cried loudly.
Jasmine comforted her softly, "It's okay. I called my brother. He'll come to help us."
Jasmine was also scared. She couldn't fight, so she had to call Nolan.
After all, Ethan was cunning, and Jasmine didn't want to be taken back by him.
"Is your brother good at fighting? Can he beat Louis? Desiree called Louis," Amelia said, crying and wiping her tears. Her face was badly beaten by Desiree and her friends, but she still snorted defiantly.
Jasmine wanted to laugh but also felt sorry for her. "We'll stay at my brother's place tonight. He's pretty strong; he should be able to beat Louis."
Jasmine wasn't very sure, as she had never seen the aloof Nolan fight.
Jasmine's call was a bit late, and Nolan hadn't arrived yet when Louis showed up.
Louis got out of the car, looking coldly at Amelia. "Amelia, look at your situation now. What a sight!" Louis sneered, deliberately hugging Desiree in front of Amelia.
Amelia glared at Louis. "You're insane, you make me disgusted. Don't let me see you."
Louis looked at Desiree affectionately. "Baby, did she hit you?"
Desiree nodded. "Yes."
Louis sneered. "Amelia, do you know your family's current situation? If you want your family to survive a bit longer, kneel to Desiree. Maybe then I'll consider being lenient with them."
Desiree laughed. "Don't be so smug."
Amelia clenched her fists in anger and said to Jasmine, "Don't hold me back. I'll bite them to death."
Jasmine was taken aback because she didn't hold her back this time.
"Don't hold me back!" Amelia continued to shout.
Jasmine felt awkward and whispered, "Should I hold you back or not?"
Amelia whispered, "I can't beat Louis."
"Okay," Jasmine nodded.
"Hurry up and kneel," someone beside Desiree mocked.
Amelia snorted, "You're lunatic."
Desiree glanced at the person beside her. "Go, teach her how to kneel and beg."
