Chapter 870 Jordan Regrets, Wants to Remarry

Silverlight City, airport.

Raymond and Lisa returned, both silent throughout the journey, neither speaking first.

Raymond was angry at Lisa's attitude towards Jordan, feeling that Lisa still had feelings for Jordan and wanted to reconcile with him.

Lisa knew that the Long family would never let her marry Raymond, and she was thinking about how to part ways with Raymond amicably.

"Where are you going?" Raymond's driver came to pick them up, and Raymond spoke to Lisa for the first time.

He was actually hoping that if Lisa cared about him and wanted to be with him, she would definitely say to go to his place.

"To Serenity Villa, Casey is still with Jordan, I need to pick him up..." But Lisa said to go to Jordan's place.

Raymond's face grew darker, he opened the car door for Lisa to get in, and said nothing more.

Lisa looked out the car window, having faced several near-death crises, she seemed to have truly become indifferent to many things upon her return.

In the past, she was so deeply immersed in her feelings for Jordan that she couldn't extricate herself, refusing even to look back. Now, in retrospect, she could only see how terrifyingly foolish she was back then.

The car stopped at the villa entrance, Raymond glanced at Lisa, finally couldn't hold back, and spoke first. "You go pick up Casey, I'll wait you."

"No need, Casey still wants to spend more time with his dad." Lisa said softly. "Raymond, thank you so much for everything during this time. If it weren't for you, I might have died long ago. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been so seriously injured. I hope you take care of yourself in the future. I'm not the right person for you, and all you've done for me isn't worth it."

Lisa knew her words were hurtful, but it was better to end the pain quickly.

For things destined to have no result, it was better not to waste too much time on each other.

Raymond's fingers tightened, grabbing Lisa's wrist. "I brought you back; do you think it's so you can tell me this and reconcile with Jordan?"

Lisa's eyes reddened, she didn't speak, nor did she refute.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault." Lisa took the initiative to admit her mistake.

Raymond was very angry, but didn't want to say too many harsh words. "Lisa, think carefully, is Jordan really worth your continued affection?"

Lisa didn't reply, she got out of the car.

At the door, Jordan and Casey were standing there, seemingly waiting for her.

Casey ran towards Lisa. "Mom!"

"Casey, did you miss mom? Mom missed you so much." Lisa hugged Casey.

Casey nodded vigorously. "Mom, I missed you."

Jordan walked over and picked up Casey. "Casey, let mom go home first, she's tired from the flight."

Lisa's body stiffened, she didn't want to go back with Jordan, she no longer had the feelings she once had.

Moreover, Raymond hadn't left yet.

Raymond was sitting in the car, he didn't get out, didn't roll down the window, and didn't leave.

He just watched them as a family of three, feeling himself like a joke.

"Let's go." Raymond told the driver.

The driver drove away.

Lisa turned back, watching Raymond leave.

He must be very sad, but with Raymond's family background and abilities, there was no need to continue wasting time on her, this was for the best.

Jordan turned back to look at Lisa, a hint of crisis in his eyes. "Lisa, have you fallen for someone else?"

Lisa didn't answer, because she didn't hear what Jordan was saying.

Jordan's face changed. "You said you loved me so much, but it was just like this."

Lisa came back to her senses, looking at Jordan. "Nothing stays the same forever."

"I don't believe it." Jordan frowned, confident that this was another one of Lisa's tricks.

But this time, Lisa seemed to have succeeded.

He seemed to care about her a bit.

Especially after remarrying, he had no feelings at all with his new wife, even feeling annoyed, he remembered Lisa, at least Lisa used to do everything she could to please him.

He probably had some feelings for Lisa.

"Why did you call her back? I heard from Beatrice that you want to divorce her? Jordan, what are you trying to do?" Lisa was about to say she wouldn't take Casey away, when Jordan's mother, Giselle Montague, arrived.

The woman with Giselle was the Penrose family's heiress, Beatrice Penrose.

"Mom," Jordan frowned. "Mom, why are you here? We've already agreed to divorce, don't get involved in this."

Beatrice looked at Lisa angrily. "Is it because of her? Since her mom was a mistress, and she's inherently cheap. Even after the divorce, why is she still trying to seduce you?"

Jordan looked at Beatrice angrily.

He used to think Lisa was spoiled by the Douglas family, arrogant and willful, not as quiet and elegant as Jasmine. It wasn't until he was with Beatrice that Jordan truly understood what it meant to be spoiled and unreasonable.

Compared to Beatrice, Lisa was completely normal.

"You misunderstand, I'm just here to pick up my son." Lisa didn't want to argue with them, holding Casey's hand. "Casey, let's go."

Casey looked at Jordan. "Dad, can I take my puppy with me?"

Jordan was stunned for a moment, today Casey picked up a stray puppy, he originally didn't want Casey to bring it back, but thinking that with the puppy here, Casey would be easier to coax back, he agreed.

If he let Casey take the puppy, he might not come back in the future.

So Jordan squatted in front of Casey. "Casey, the puppy is still too young, it just had a bath, if you take it away it might get sick, let it stay at home, dad will take care of it for you, you can come back to see it whenever you want, okay?"

Jordan coaxed Casey, this way, Lisa would come back more often.

Over there, Giselle and Beatrice's faces were dark with anger.

Casey nodded. "Dad, then you have to take good care of my puppy."

After speaking, Casey and Lisa left.

Giselle snorted coldly, arrogantly walking into the living room. "Jordan, come in! I have something to say."

Jordan frowned, knowing his mom was going to interfere in his marriage again.

Back then, because Lisa was the Douglas family's heiress, she forced him to marry Lisa. Later, when she found out Lisa wasn't the Douglas family's heiress, she forced him to divorce and marry Beatrice. Now she was interfering again.

"Jordan, I don't agree with your divorce, or how can I find a daughter-in-law as good as Beatrice? Her father has helped our Taylor family so much, even when the funding chain broke, it was the Penrose family who helped, you can't divorce." Giselle snorted.

In the end, it was still about benefits.

Jordan clenched his hands, for the first time wanting to resist Giselle. "Mom, I have no feelings for her."

"Feelings can be cultivated." Giselle began to persuade again.

Suddenly, a puppy came over, rubbing against Beatrice, who screamed and kicked it away.

"Oh my god, why is there such a dirty animal in the house!" Beatrice screamed, pointing at the puppy she kicked away.

The puppy pitifully rolled a few times on the ground, whimpering in pain, it was about to cry.

Giselle was also angry, looking at the puppy with disdain. "Jordan, get rid of it! Quickly."

Jordan frowned. "Mom, this is Casey's adopted puppy, we..."

"That won't do, who allowed him to keep this thing, throw it out, what are you standing there for!" Giselle screamed, telling the maid to throw the puppy out.

The maid looked at Jordan.

But Jordan wanted to resist.

"Do you want the dog or your mom!" Giselle asked angrily.

Jordan was silent, clenching his hands and lowering his head.

He compromised.

The puppy seemed to know it was going to be abandoned, whimpering, trying to plead to stay, but Jordan never spoke.

The puppy could only be put in a plastic bag by the maid and taken away.

"Kill it, throw it in the trash." In the yard, Beatrice came out, deliberately speaking.

She wanted to kill the puppy, to let Lisa and Casey know that now the Taylor family was under her control! Jordan belonged to her too!
