Chapter 906 Rhett Went to the Hospital Again and Again

"I do." Vincent shot Brandon a look of pure disdain, like he was dealing with a rabid dog.

Bradley stayed silent and resigned to being held by Vincent.

Brandon wanted to say something, but Theodora stopped him.

"Brandon, is he your friend?" Theodora asked nervously.

"No," Brandon snapped. "He doesn't deserve to be my friend."

Vincent didn't get angry; he just carried Bradley to the car.

"His leg is injured, you..." Brandon started, but Theodora pulled him back again.

"Brandon, what are we having for dinner tonight?" Theodora asked, trying to change the subject, her voice tinged with panic.

She had liked Brandon since they were kids, and now that they had reunited, she wanted to marry him.

But if Brandon liked someone else...

She had heard over the years that Brandon didn't have anyone special in his life, which made her happy. After all, there were no women around him.

But seeing Bradley jump from the building made Theodora scared. This man was more dangerous than any woman.

A woman's intuition is usually right, and she felt that Brandon's feelings for Bradley were unusual.

"Bradley!" Brandon shouted, furious as he saw Bradley being taken away by Vincent.

In his anger, he pushed Theodora aside.

Theodora lost her balance and fell, her eyes welling up with tears.

Realizing what he had done, Brandon quickly helped her up. "Theodora, I didn't mean to."

Theodora forced a smile. "It's okay..."

In the car, Bradley watched Brandon comfort Theodora, feeling utterly heartbroken.

His chest felt tight and painful.

Vincent drove for a while before glancing at Bradley. "You don't really have feelings for that mad dog, do you?"

"Mad dog" was Vincent's nickname for Brandon.

Ethan's mad dog.

Bradley remained silent.

"Seriously, what's so great about him? Tell me what you like, and I'll find someone for you," Vincent said, exasperated.

Bradley just shook his head.

He didn't even know what he liked about Brandon.

Brandon was so awful.

"How about you and me? You like me, right? We can go abroad and get married," Vincent joked, trying to cheer Bradley up.

Bradley did smile, albeit reluctantly. "Vincent, it's obvious you like women."

Vincent rolled his eyes.

He did like women.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine," Bradley said quietly. "I want to leave Silverlight City."

He really didn't want to get involved with the Hamilton family, the Douglas family, or anything in Silverlight City anymore.

As long as he left and stayed far away, Brandon would have no reason or excuse to keep bullying him.

"Alright, I'll get you a ticket. Where do you want to go?" Vincent nodded.

He felt guilty for using Bradley. It was pretty low of him.

"Back to Maple Grove, to my own home," Bradley said softly, referring to the place he and his mom used to live.

Vincent nodded. "Sorry about your leg..."

Vincent felt guilty about Bradley's injury.

He had used many people in his life, but Bradley was the most innocent.

Bradley could have stayed out of it.

But he chose to help Vincent anyway.

Vincent felt guilty for not protecting Bradley.

"It's not your fault," Bradley shook his head.

Vincent sighed. "Bradley, if you were a woman, I'd marry you."

Bradley laughed again. "With that kind of flirty talk, even if I were a woman, I wouldn't marry you."

Vincent was even worse than Brandon, more like a mad dog.

He was much scarier.

Bradley was afraid of Vincent deep down. It was better to keep some distance.

Vincent raised an eyebrow. "I'm a good guy, you know. I'd treat my wife really well."

"Mr. Hamilton, do you have someone you like?" Bradley asked, curious.

Vincent shook his head. He didn't.

"I'm worried you'll end up alone," Bradley sighed.

There weren't many women more attractive than Vincent, so it was hard to imagine what kind of woman Vincent would fall for.

"That's none of your concern," Vincent said, driving Bradley to the hospital.

After a thorough check-up to ensure everything was fine, he took Bradley to a hotel.

That night, Bradley couldn't sleep. He stayed awake all night.

Theodora was staying with Brandon tonight. They were probably already asleep.

Brandon was really awful. He had pretended to be gay to mess with Bradley, for Ethan.

At Avery's place, Rhett had been discharged from the hospital, but his hands hadn't fully recovered. He sat arrogantly on the couch, ordering Avery around.

"Avery, get me some water."

Avery quietly poured him a glass.

The housekeeper, nervous, offered, "Mr. Murray, let me do it."

"Let her do it. She's my wife. Isn't it her job to get me water?" Rhett was deliberately bullying Avery, making her serve him.

Avery didn't get angry, just quietly poured the water.

Rhett smirked, feeling better seeing Avery so obedient.

"Massage my feet," Rhett ordered.

Avery sat down, looking at Rhett.

Rhett's face darkened. "What? You don't want to?"

"Are you sure?" Avery asked gently. "I have pretty strong hands."

Rhett tensed up, angry. "Are you threatening me?"

"No," Avery said, sitting on a stool and looking at Rhett's feet.

"Rhett!" Lyanna and Edgar walked in just as Avery started massaging Rhett's feet.

Before Edgar could get angry, Rhett screamed in pain.

"Avery!" Rhett fell off the couch, his foot shaking. Avery had dislocated it, maybe even broken it.

Avery looked innocent.

"I told you I have strong hands," Avery sighed.

Rhett should have asked her to massage his head. She could have crushed it.

"Rhett! What happened?" Lyanna rushed over, pretending to be concerned, and accidentally knocked over the table, spilling hot water on Rhett.

Now his lower abdomen and legs were burned.

"Ah!"

Rhett screamed again.

The room was in chaos.

Edgar rushed over. "What happened?"

In the confusion, he stepped on Rhett's legs.

"Ouch!"

Rhett's screams echoed through the empty living room.

Avery couldn't watch anymore and looked away.

Edgar carried Rhett out, stumbling as he ran.

By the time Rhett got to the hospital, he was unconscious.

This time, his injuries were worse than before.

Rhett's return to the hospital made Lily very unhappy.

Lily had been tempted by Vincent's words, and Rhett's repeated hospital visits made her anxious.

The Silverlight City project was about to start. What was Rhett doing?

"What happened to him?" Lily asked angrily.

"I heard he went home, knocked over a kettle, got burned, and broke his leg..." the assistant said helplessly.

How could someone suddenly become so unlucky?

"Is he really that unlucky lately?" Lily cursed. "Or is he being punished for all the bad things he has done?"

The assistant didn't dare say more.

Lily rubbed her temples. "Make an appointment, I'm going to the hospital to see him!"

The project was about to start, but what was Rhett up to?
