Chapter 776 Lisa Needs to Send the Message Back to Silverlight City

Steven frowned. "Lisa?"

Outside the door, Richard walked in. "What happened to Lisa?"

Sita looked at Richard warily, she didn't trust him.

Steven walked to the door and glanced outside, making sure no one was there before speaking. "He's one of us."

Sita finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Lisa is with Dev and his group. She heard some news and asked me to inform you," Sita said nervously, pausing for a moment before continuing. "She might be with the police. I saw a tracking device in her necklace."

Richard frowned. "She's Mark's daughter. She must be here looking for him. I didn't expect her to be so bold. We can't delay, we need to protect her."

Steven nodded. "She must be the other contact the police mentioned."

"She'll be in great danger over there. Dev and Raj are very scheming.. She won't last long. She looks like a rich girl, I'm worried about her."

Sita was concerned about Lisa, who clearly had never suffered hardship.

Steven nodded. "Don't worry. Get some rest. We will rescue her."

"Steven," Sita looked up at him.

"What's wrong?" Steven asked.

Sita shook her head. "Nothing."

Even Richard, who was usually slow to catch on, could see that Sita liked Steven.

So, Richard left the room, leaving the two in the room.

Steven clearly didn't know Sita liked him, and he didn't like her either.

Sita hesitated, then smiled at Steven. "At that time, I thought I was going to die."

Steven said nothing.

"I didn't expect to survive. It's really nice," Sita said, looking out the window. "Steven, you once asked me what I wanted."

Because she had saved Steven, he had promised her that once he returned to the Hughes family, he would fulfill her wish.

"I want to leave here. I want to go to a peaceful country to study. I want a stable job, a place to live." Sita said softly, sharing her dreams.

Those had been her dreams since she was a child.

Steven smiled. "Okay."

Sita's mission was over, and she deserved to get what she wanted.

Steven would fulfill her wish.

Sita breathed a sigh of relief, knowing Steven did too.

In fact, Steven knew Sita liked him, which was why she had delayed sharing her wish. Once she said it to Steven, they would have no more chances together.

But Sita had thought it through. She wasn't a match for Steven, she needed to be realistic, having her own life.

The base.

Lisa got up to run at around six in the morning.

Dev was a bit surprised that she actually managed to get up.

"Have you ever seen the sunrise?" Dev asked as he ran ahead.

Lisa said nothing. She was cautiously observing all directions of the base.

"Run up the hill," Dev pointed to a slope.

Lisa breathed a sigh of relief. She also wanted to run up the hill to get a clear view of the entire base.

Finally reaching the top, Dev raised an eyebrow. "You are really good at running."

Lisa said nothing, looking towards the sunrise. The sea of flowers was beautiful in the sunlight.

"Beautiful, right? All of this is money," Dev cursed.

Lisa looked at the sea of flowers. "It's beautiful, but human greed and desire have turned it into a symbol of sin."

Dev frowned, looking at Lisa. "You rich girls know nothing. This is money, this is our life!"

"That's the lives of thousands of innocent souls," Lisa said softly, not knowing how she was so courageous

Dev was clearly angry, glaring at Lisa.

Lisa, afraid of provoking him further, quickly spoke. "Let's keep running. Are you giving up?"

Dev swallowed his curse words and ran ahead of Lisa.

Lisa observed the base, noting all the positions.

, there was only one room in the north area. The hostages must be there.

Lisa deliberately ran around the hill, heading down towards the north area.

Dev didn't suspect anything, thinking she just wanted to run more.

"Do you run this much in Silverlight City too?" Dev cursed.

"I start at ten kilometers on the treadmill, but it's boring and dull. The air here is so much better, no pollution." Lisa stopped, took a deep breath, and shouted towards the mountains. "Honestly, this place is really beautiful."

But unfortunately, it was a place of sin for these people.

If this place is to regain its former beauty, these criminal people should all be arrested.

Dev said nothing, just glanced at Lisa.

"Have you ever thought about doing legitimate business? Wouldn't it be better to grow some crops?" Lisa asked.

Dev laughed. "Steven came to get us to switch to farming. What a joke."

Dev said sarcastically.

Lisa said nothing, knowing there was no way to communicate.

Just as they came down the hill, they heard screams from the north area.

Lisa deliberately hid behind Dev. "What's going on? Are you killing people again?"

Dev raised an eyebrow, pleased to see Lisa scared, at least not as arrogant as before.

"Be good if you're afraid." Dev said, deliberately taking Lisa into the yard of the north area.

"I don't want to go," Lisa pretended to be very scared.

"Get in," Dev threatened.

Lisa finally walked in.

In the yard, a family of three who had been kidnapped was being beaten. The son was already on the verge of death. The businessman knelt on the ground, begging. "Please, my child is dying. Get him a doctor. I can give you more money."

Lisa nervously looked at the child, who was only a teenager and clearly couldn't hold on much longer. "Why don't you get the child medical help?"

"Medical help costs money, doesn't it?" Dev cursed and walked over.

Lisa nervously checked the child. "It's high fever. I have some fever medicine."

The businessman knelt on the ground, excited. "Thank you."

Dev sneered. "You want to be a good person by giving him medicine?"

Lisa nervously looked at Dev. "This child will die. You have no grudge against him. Why hurt him?"

"Enough with the nonsense," Dev cursed, dragging Lisa out.

Lisa was angry. "Do you have any humanity left?"

Dev raised his hand to hit Lisa, but seeing her standing firm, he frowned. "Go get the fever medicine for the boy!"

Lisa breathed a sigh of relief, memorized the location, and quickly left.

She needed to find Mark and call Silverlight City. "Dad, can I call Casey?"

Across from Mark, Raj squinted his eyes.

"You can call, but you have to do it here," Mark said softly.

Lisa knew they wouldn't let her make a call alone.

"Okay." Lisa picked up the phone and squatted by the table, calling Casey's smartwatch.
