Chapter 284 Annabelle is not the daughter of the Cunningham family.
"Wilson is my assistant, why wouldn't she have the right?" Nolan's voice was low as he glanced at Ethan, and sparks immediately flew between them.
Edgar pulled Wilson behind him and whispered, "Must be some grudge between them in the past. Stay away from them, so you don't get caught in the crossfire."
Worried about Ethan, Wilson held his hand tightly.
Amy took a deep breath, seeing that Edgar backed down from provoking Wilson and obediently kept quiet.
On the other hand, the other wealthy girls beside her were still chattering away. "Our dresses have been stained by her. She intentionally spilled wine on us. Either she compensates us or apologizes."
"The butler will take care of these girls. We will compensate them according to the Cunningham Family standards for their dresses. Also, retrieve the invitations we sent to them and send them back home," Edgar commanded in a stern voice.
Someone actually dared to bully Wilson right in front of him, which made him extremely angry.
The wealthy girls were all astonished. Why was Edgar protecting Wilson?
"Mr. Edgar, it's not necessary. We can still continue attending the banquet."
"No need. You are all prohibited from attending any future events related to the Cunningham Family," Nolan also spoke up.
They were all frightened and their faces turned pale.
"Why?"
"Because I saw clearly from over there that it was you who provoked and verbally bullied Wilson first. She only fought back," Edgar furrowed his brow, displeased as he spoke again. "Wilson is my girlfriend and my son's mother. If you bully her, it's as if you're bullying me."
Once this news came out, everyone was shocked.
Edgar was the father of Wilson's child?
For a moment, everyone found it hard to believe this newly revealed fact.
Before they could react, the butler and security guards had escorted the wealthy girls out.
Ethan, with a gloomy expression, gritted his teeth and spoke. "Please clarify your words. Wilson is just your female friend."
It turned out that none of the people from the Cunningham Family was honest. They all stared at his wife with menacing eyes.
Presumably, they all wanted to take advantage of the situation.
Sure enough, Edgar spoke first. "Wilson, Ethan can't even support himself anymore. Leave him and come with me. I also like Justin. Let's raise Justin and Joe together."
Edgar was actively causing trouble.
"Mr. Edgar, I remember we made a bet. If you lost, you were supposed to streak. Why have you been hiding for a few days and nowhere to be seen?" Mitchell emerged from the crowd and stood up for his close friend Ethan.
Edgar's expression instantly changed, and he turned his head and ran. He was truly afraid of Mitchell. How could Mitchell remember this matter so clearly?
Mitchell even remembered the card game they played. He was truly a math genius, with unparalleled memory. He was good at counting cards. Who could possibly win against him?
Upon seeing Edgar frightened and running away, Ethan raised an eyebrow at Mitchell. "You were of use after all."
Mitchell patted Ethan's shoulder. "Don't worry, Ethan. The Cunninghams won't let you down."
Ethan ignored Mitchell.
"Mr. Ethan, these people are just a bunch of opportunistic hypocrites. You don't need to pay them any mind. It's normal to experience ups and downs in life, and one day you will make a comeback. After all, gold always shines." Someone showed kindness and offered to have a drink with Ethan.
Ethan was polite as well, appreciating the kindness he encountered in adversity.
"Mr. Ethan, we all understand what's going on. Let's have a drink together." Someone else, despite their harsh words, was expressing goodwill.
"Ethan, I already told you to listen to your elders. Look at you now, in this state. And look at Zheyu, becoming the Cunningham Family's alliance partner and the CEO of Stellar Enterprises." Some people showed goodwill, while others threw stones to undermine him.
An older man, appearing to be in his sixties or seventies, approached with a few others.
"Who would have thought that Mr. Ethan, who used to be high and mighty, would end up like this?" Someone mocked Ethan.
Mitchell couldn't help but laugh at these people, considering them a bunch of ignorant fools.
He wanted to speak up for Ethan but was stopped by Ethan.
"May you all maintain your positions and never experience a fall from grace." Wilson led Ethan away, not wanting to listen to anything they had to say.
These people were disgustingly vile.
"Ethan, are you now reduced to being with promiscuous women?" someone dared to probe Ethan's limits.
Wilson was Ethan's limit, that was certain.
Ethan's anger simmered, and he wanted to react violently.
But Wilson held onto his arm tightly, with teary eyes, shaking his head.
"Don't worry, I'm not that impulsive," Ethan soothingly reassured Wilson.
Wilson eased her guard.
However, as soon as she let go, Ethan kicked out.
"Since I have nothing now, wouldn't it be justified to kill you? " Ethan no longer needed to consider many things because he was neither the President nor his father's son.
His current focus was simply losing his mind. He would act without hesitation.
"Ethan, dare you hit me? There are security cameras here. I will report you to the police." The person writhed in pain on the ground, almost vomiting blood.
"Sorry, the surveillance cameras are broken," Nolan pointed to the monitors with a low voice.
The secretary understood what he meant and quickly went to have someone shut down the surveillance.
The person who was kicked trembled in anger.
"Ah." Suddenly, the person let out another miserable scream, it was truly a pitiful sight.
Betty, who knows when she arrived, stepped in, her sharp high heels and wore a seductive and sexy dress, elegantly flipping her hair.
Her high-heeled shoes landed perfectly on the man's back.
"Foot! Shoe! Get your foot off my face!" the man screamed while pounding the ground.
Other people quickly gestured Betty over. "Please mind your step."
Betty seemed oblivious. "Oh dear, there's still someone under here. I'm sorry, I stepped on your hand."
Wilson gasped, realizing the man's hand had been stepped on and left small dents.
Mrs. Betty was ruthless indeed.
Ethan raised an eyebrow and glanced at Betty.
"Mr. Ethan, why so angry? It's even more lively over there. Let's go watch the commotion," Betty walked over, pulling Wilson and Ethan towards Cordelia.
"Annabelle is not the Cunningham Family's daughter, Annabelle is not the Cunningham Family's daughter."
Sure enough, it was even more lively over there. May somehow managed to join in, shouting loudly.
"Howard, you've harmed my daughter! You deserve to die!" May continued yelling.
Howard kept a calm face and gestured for the bodyguards to quickly remove her.
Annabelle's face turned pale as she trembled, "Mom, this is the nanny from the Xu family, the impostor who replaced their own daughter with someone else's."
Cordelia remained unfazed, looking meaningfully at the young nanny beside her.
The nanny didn't say a word and quietly followed them outside.
May was thrown out by the security guards.
Zelda, who was hiding nearby, snorted.
These people were really boring.
Annabelle's expression was not good. Taking advantage of everyone's attention on May, she walked over to Howard. "It seems like this woman also knows something she shouldn't, just like Serena."
Howard had a serious face.
There are always people doing things they shouldn't.
"Get rid of her," Howard said in a low voice to the person next to him.
