Chapter 298 Wilson Demands Two Billion Dollars from Henry

Out of respect, Ethan would never answer Wilson's phone calls randomly, but he was really curious. Ethan lay on the bed silently, waiting for Wilson to come out. By the time she did, her phone had almost shut down from Henry's persistent calls. Wilson glanced at her phone and then cautiously looked at Ethan before quietly leaving the bedroom to return Henry's call.

This made Ethan so angry that he sat up from the bed. His wife was secretly calling her rival behind his back?

He couldn't accept this fact!

So, Ethan got out of bed and tiptoed to the door, eavesdropping on Wilson's phone conversation. Ethan, as the former president of Stellar Enterprises, never expected that one day he would sink so low as to eavesdrop on his wife.

The study.

Wilson answered Henry's call.

"Do you need something?" Wilson asked.

"Wilson, were you hurt today?" Henry's voice was hoarse.

"Mr. Patrick, do you have something important to tell me? Ethan is going to bed, and your call at this time will disturb him," Wilson bluntly replied.

Ethan, hiding outside the door, nodded in satisfaction. He thought his wife made a valid point.

"Wilson, I admit I shouldn't have lied to you about Justin. I..." Henry's voice trailed off.

"Mr. Patrick, you almost killed Justin," Wilson's knuckles turned white.

She couldn't forgive Henry, but since he had used her before, was it reasonable for her to use him now?

"Wilson, there are major changes happening at Stellar Enterprises. Ethan has nothing now, and he has no ability to protect you," Henry had been waiting for this moment. Today, he had social engagements with some of the high-ranking members of Stellar Enterprises in Silverlight City.

Wilson actually saw it.

If she hadn't seen Henry meeting privately with the top executives of Stellar Enterprises, she would never have removed him from the blacklist.

Wilson began to suspect that Ethan had been kicked out of Gu's Group and that Mrs. Douglas and Daniel had successfully obtained Stellar Enterprises with the help of Henry.

"He is my husband, and we will get through this together," Wilson reminded Henry.

"Wilson, do you really think he is sincere toward you?" Henry questioned.

"I don't want to hear you say these things. If all you have to say is this, then don't call me. I understand people with my heart, not with my ears," Wilson interrupted Henry.

On the other end of the phone, Henry was shocked for a long time.

When Wilson was just released from prison, he was submissive and spoke hesitantly, like a flower that had been trampled on.

But today, the Wilson that Henry saw at the Silverlight City Starlink Club was someone who dared to hit others with a vase.

Not only that, she now spoke straightforwardly and confidently.

"I was wrong, Wilson," Henry finally softened and admitted his mistake. "The situation with Ethan in Gu's Group is not as simple as you think. Mrs. Douglas and Daniel are planning their next move, and they want to ensure that Ethan never regains his power. If you follow him, you won't be able to protect Justin."

Henry brought up Justin. "Wilson, divorce Ethan and marry me."

It took Henry a long time and a lot of effort to say these words.

If he wanted to marry Wilson, he would have to face many risks and obstacles.

He admitted that he truly loved Wilson, from six years ago until now.

He also admitted that his love was selfish and somewhat obsessive, but he wanted Wilson. He desperately wanted her to stay by his side forever.

"Henry, if I have to choose between you and Ethan, I will always choose Ethan, forever," Wilson firmly stated.

On the other end of the phone, Henry's voice became hoarse with anger. "You know, Ethan has nothing now. Dealing with him will be a piece of cake for me."

Wilson knew that Henry wasn't that malicious, but she also knew that Henry would stop at nothing to get what he wanted.

"Henry, I don't trust you anymore. How can I believe that you will marry me?" Wilson took a deep breath, knowing that Henry would use Ethan to threaten her.

He used Justin to threaten her before, and now he was using Ethan.

Wilson had already guessed his tactics.

"What do you want me to do?" Henry's voice became hoarse, filled with compromise.
"Loan me two billion dollars," Wilson said firmly.

Outside the door, Ethan was taken aback.

His wife was asking for two billion dollars from another man.

On the other end of the phone, Henry couldn't help but laugh. "Assets or funds?"

He knew that Wilson was asking for the money on behalf of Ethan.

There was no way Ethan would willingly live at the bottom layer for the rest of his life; he was definitely going to start his own business.

Starting a business requires money.

"Funds," Wilson said in a low voice.

Henry chuckled. "Are you planning to use two billion dollars to buy yourself out of Ethan's hands?"

"If you think I'm not worth two billion dollars, then forget I said anything. I will repay the loan," Wilson took a deep breath.

"I can lend you the money, but you must first divorce Ethan," Henry frowned, approaching the matter head-on.

SHC Group has recently been experiencing financial problems and Crestwood Development Group has been targeting them.

If Henry were to give Wilson two billion dollars, he would have to divert all his energy into resolving SHC Group's issues. After all, he would need all his resources to deal with Crestwood Development Group and would have no time to help Daniel and Mrs. Douglas.

Furthermore, this move would sever Henry's intentions toward Stellar Enterprises.

Knowing Wilson, he wanted to make it difficult for Henry's financial chain to move.

"I want to see the money in my account first," Wilson said. Even if she didn't use the money immediately and instead let it accumulate interest in the bank, she wanted Henry to bleed first and be preoccupied.

She needed to get Henry out of the way before she could fully focus on dealing with Daniel and Mrs. Douglas.

"Is Ethan worth doing this for, Wilson?" Henry clearly didn't feel good about it.

"Didn't you say that you like me? That you want to marry me? Yet you can't even bear to give me two billion dollars?" Wilson retorted.

"Fine," Henry lowered his voice and sighed.

Even though he understood Wilson's motives, Henry still compromised.
He knew that what he owed Wilson couldn't be compensated with money. If he could eliminate Wilson's resentment toward him, he would consider not just two billion dollars, but even three billion dollars.

Wilson tightly clenched his hands.

"Two billion dollars is not a small amount of money. Give me half a month," Henry said softly.

"Seven days," Wilson refused, knowing that seven days would be enough for Henry.

Henry took a deep breath. "Wilson, you really hate me."

Henry realized it.

Wilson didn't say anything.

Henry agreed.

After hanging up the phone, Wilson breathed a sigh of relief.

At least during this time, Henry would not be involved in anything related to the Douglas Residence.

Without Henry's support, Daniel and Mrs. Douglas, relying solely on Annabelle, an uncertain figure as The Cunningham Heiress principal, wouldn't last long.

Outside the door, Ethan had a gloomy expression.

His wife traded divorce for two billion dollars.

Would he be able to give her four billion dollars tomorrow to buy her off from divorcing him?
