Chapter 742 Who Exactly Killed Emily?

Wesley feared this secret would affect you and Celeste, So he spared no effort and risked everything to find out the truth, inadvertently exposing the hypocritical faces of the Douglas family father and son," Juniper tightened her hand gripping the glass.
"William already had a wife, but for power and status, he abandoned his wife and son to marry the daughter of the chamber of commerce president, your grandmother. Later, Howard followed William and married your mother, Celeste." The men of the Douglas family had no sincerity. In Juniper's view, Wesley was as disgusting as Howard.
"Your grandfather knew that your and Celeste would have a hard time in the Douglas family. People like William are ruthless and merciless. So Wesley forced William to leave a will, giving the shares to you, but William held back. He protected Mark too well."
William was selfish. He gave the shares to Ethan, but he left the money to Mark! He secretly protected Mark, placing him by Howard's side.
William did this to give Mark a chance to defeat Howard and take over the Douglas Group!

"Even Howard didn't know that Mark was William's son," Juniper sneered. "No one knew because Mr. Douglas protected Mark so well. He found someone to pretend to be Mark and sent him abroad, while the real son Mark was raised within the Douglas Group."

"That day, William came personally to apologize. They had an argument, and William lost control and pushed your grandfather down the stairs. Vincent was hiding in the room and witnessed the whole thing."
Jasmine looked at Juniper in shock.
William personally killed Wesley.
"Vincent was deeply traumatized by this. He was young and didn't dare tell anyone. I kept this secret with him, fearing Celeste couldn't bear it if she knew." Juniper continued. "After that, the Douglas family used you, who was a kid at the time, to control Celeste, effectively controlling the Hamilton family. "I prepared everything, sent Vincent to Muskow first, planning to bring you and Celeste over, but she changed her mind. She said she wanted revenge." Juniper smiled. "Of course, I supported all her decisions. Together, we planned everything. We wanted to find out who William's son was and find the vulnerabilities and weaknesses of them."
"But just the two of us couldn't deal with William and Howard." Juniper sighed. "We hid our hatred, waiting for the right moment. When we discovered Mark was the prime suspect, your mother was killed."
Celeste's death was likely because Mark knew his identity was about to be exposed and deliberately incited Claire to provoke Howard.
Ethan remained silent, head down the entire time.
"Vincent and I have been waiting, and finally, he couldn't hold back," Juniper sneered.
"Was destroying the Douglas family your idea or my mom's?" Ethan finally spoke, his voice hoarse.
"Everything I did was to fulfill Celeste's last wish," Juniper's voice was hoarse.
"Okay." Ethan nodded. "Even if it was to fulfill my mom's last wish, I can understand, but why hurt Emily, she was innocent."
Jasmine's heart tightened, instinctively looking at Juniper.
Emily, was she killed by Juniper?
"If I said I didn't kill Emily, would you believe me?" Juniper took a deep breath, looking down. "You need to be careful of Lily."
Lily was definitely not simple.

"My people took Emily because she had evidence that Lily killed Xavier. Lily begged me to take her away. Knowing Lily's ruthlessness, I didn't make things difficult for Emily. My people released her shortly after taking her and even gave her a phone." Juniper explained.
She intended for Emily to use the phone to contact Jasmine.
But she didn't know why Emily didn't contact Jasmine and was instead killed.
