Chapter 826 Ethan Has No Time to Dig Up Your Mom's Grave
Hestia blushed and stammered, "Th-that's too fast."
Edward thought for a moment. "We just sleep and nothing else."
Hestia looked at Edward. "You're not very trustworthy."
Edward laughed. "Let's eat."
Hestia ran into the bathroom, washed her hands, and peeked out cautiously.
While their courtship was brief, she and Edward shared a mutual desire for a family. If their personalities proved compatible, a fulfilling life together seemed entirely plausible.
"I'm not forcing anything, we can take it slow," Edward reassured, afraid of scaring Hestia away.
Class Reunion.
Hestia's class had a reunion before graduation, and everyone could bring their boyfriends or girlfriends, making it very lively.
"Did you know? Saul is back and working as a doctor at Capital Hospital. His future is bright." a classmate said.
"Hestia is so pitiful. She dated Saul for years, only for Jessa to steal him away." another chimed in.
"Jessa is such a flirt." a woman joint.
"Don't all men like that? You'd better keep an eye on your boyfriends too, or they might get seduced by her." the first classmate said.
In the private room, most of the classmates had arrived, many with their partners, making it very lively.
Jessa also came, bringing Saul with her.
Saul looked upset, he came just to see who Hestia would bring.
"Hestia isn't here yet?" Jessa asked with a smile, deliberately holding Saul's arm.
But he subtly pulled his arm away.
Jessa looked awkward, but she still smiled and sat beside him.
"She should be here soon," Hestia's roommate spoke up again. "Hestia said she would bring her boyfriend."
This was said deliberately for Saul to hear. For a man with a wandering eye, they didn't want to talk.Saul instinctively looked towards the door, wanting to see what kind of man Hestia would bring.
He found it hard to imagine anyone else liking a girl like Hestia besides him.
He believed his taste was unique, able to see Hestia's good qualities, so he was confident Hestia wouldn't be taken away.
Even if someone liked Hestia, it would probably be someone quite ordinary, and Saul didn't care about those ordinary people.
As long as the person Hestia liked wasn't as good as him, Saul believed he could win Hestia back.
However, after waiting for a long time, Hestia still hadn't arrived.
"The reunion is about to start, and Hestia isn't here yet? What's going on?" the roommate asked.
"Does she think she's so important that everyone has to wait for her?" Jessa sneered.
"I just called, and Hestia said she's on her way, just delayed by something," the Class Representative reassured everyone, asking them to take their seats.
With Saul there, those in the know started whispering, wanting to see if Hestia's boyfriend could outshine Saul.
But Saul was too outstanding, an average person couldn't outshine him.
A lot of people were waiting to see Hestia make a fool of herself.
When Hestia and Saul were together, everyone thought Saul must be blind to like Hestia, so few believed Hestia could find a goodboyfriend.
"I heard Hestia met her boyfriend through a blind date." Some classmates began to discuss.
"Yes, they got married quickly after the blind date."
"How could they be a good match? Their family background and looks are probably average at best. Truly outstanding people wouldn’t even consider a blind date." Jessa complained to her friends.
"Her boyfriend is a senior executive at the Cunningham Group and even gave a lecture at our school. You just don't get it," a roommate who was close to Hestia said leisurely. "And he's very handsome."
"Really?" Most people didn't believe it.
Jessa didn't believe it either, snorting and waiting to see Hestia make a fool of herself.
Boston.
Jasmine and Daniel had just left the hotel when they encountered Kavi's men.
Kavi was clearly desperate.
"He's certain the evidence is with you," Jasmine frowned. Kavi was putting so much effort into Daniel that she began to suspect the evidence was indeed with him.
"Think carefully," Jasmine urged Daniel, stepping on the gas.
Daniel, frightened by Jasmine, clutched his seatbelt and nervously looked back. "Jasmine, be careful! Turn left!"
"Turn right..." Daniel didn't expect Jasmine to drive so recklessly, as if she didn't care about his life.
Jasmine frowned, glanced at the rearview mirror, and sharply turned the steering wheel.
"There's a greenbelt over there! Be careful!" Daniel shouted in fear.
Jasmine glanced at him. "When I'm driving, you'd better shut up."
Daniel was stunned and obediently closed his mouth.
Jasmine sharply turned the steering wheel, entering a tunnel and accelerating.
Daniel clutched his seatbelt tightly. Was this the Jasmine he knew? Ever since she got together with Ethan, she had become so terrifying.
"You'd better think quickly about whether Mark left you anything," Jasmine's palms were sweating. The pursuers were relentless, and if they stopped, Daniel would surely die.
"I'll call the police," Daniel said, taking out his phone.
"By the time you call the police, you'll be dead, and they'll be collecting your body," Jasmine said bluntly. If it weren't for the evidence, she wouldn't have come to find him.
But since she was here, she had to protect him.
Before Daniel could dial, Jasmine's car had already passed through a police barricade and stopped behind the police.
The pursuing cars slowed down upon seeing the police, leisurely stopping, unafraid of being checked.
They hadn't caused any trouble, so the police couldn't do much.
Jasmine had anticipated this, calling the police was just a temporary delay. "Daniel, I suggest you think quickly."
Daniel rubbed his temples. "I've thought about it, but I don't have anything! Could it be with Lisa?"
"Lisa's situation isn't any better than yours. If Kavi wants to eliminate threats, he'll target both of you," Jasmine checked the time. "We'll switch cars soon. Henry will drive us back to Silverlight City."
Boston was too dangerous.
Daniel didn't speak, temporarily agreeing.
"When we back to Silverlight City, how about visiting my mom's grave?" Daniel suggested quietly.
Maybe Mark hid the evidence in the grave.
Jasmine glanced at Daniel. "That sounds like something Mark would do. I'll have someone check it now."
"No!" Daniel was angry. "You won't have Ethan dig up my mom's grave, will you? I'm just guessing, it might not be there. Even if we'll open the grave, it should be me."
Jasmine frowned. "Lisa and Raymond are also in trouble. Ethan is handling it and doesn't have time to dig up your mom's grave."
After explaining to the police, she took Daniel to find Henry.
She thought the presence of the police would make Kavi's men back off, but as soon as Jasmine and Daniel's car got on the overpass, a heavy truck came the wrong way and crashed into them, sending the car off the overpass.
The car fell into the river below the overpass.
Jasmine felt a blackout and briefly lost consciousness. When she woke up, water was already flooding the car.
