Chapter 282 May wants to expose Annabelle's identity

Capital Hospital.

Daniel and Annabelle posted a photo of their marriage certificate on Facebook and announced that they were married.

However, their marriage registration did not cause much of a stir. Instead, Ethan being kicked out of Stellar Enterprises was trending for three days.

Evan sat in the corridor, disheveled and exhausted, leaning on a chair.

Serena had been in a coma for several days and showed no signs of waking up.

"It's all Wilson's fault. If it weren't for this jinxed troublemaker, Serena wouldn't be in this predicament." Karen was still crying, blaming Wilson.

Perhaps unable to bear it any longer, Evan finally exploded. "Stop talking."

The dull voice echoed in the hospital corridor, scaring Karen. "What's gotten into you?"

Evan's breathing quickened as he looked at Karen. "Serena's behavior today is a result of our excessive indulgence and spoiling, which allowed her to disregard others' feelings and do whatever she wanted. It has nothing to do with Wilson."

"Evan, are you still speaking up for that little bitch?" Karen yelled, going crazy.

"Mum, you raised her for twenty-one years, and she called you 'mum' for twenty-one years," Evan suddenly laughed. Who was he to criticize Karen?

What kind of person was he?

"She has taken over my daughter's life, which should have belonged to my daughter. What's wrong with her?" Karen continued to shout, her voice hoarse.

"She owes me, and she will owe me for the rest of her life," Karen cried out desperately.

"Enough, stop it. This is a hospital," Benjamin finally spoke, his voice low.

"What right do you have to speak? Why don't you tell your son why I hate Wilson, why I hate May? Tell him!" Karen cried out, urging Benjamin to speak.

Benjamin's face darkened. "I see you've gone mad. Shut up."

"You want me to shut up? Benjamin, you want me to shut up? I am the only daughter of the Jiang family, and I brought so much wealth with me when I married you. Is this how you treat me?" Karen recalled those past events and wished she could tear Benjamin apart.

"May, Wilson's biological mother, the bitch who took away my daughter. I wish I could kill her." Karen stood up and looked at Evan. "I trusted her back then, which is why I let her stay as our nanny. But she ended up having an affair with your father, what a disgusting thing to do."

May had an affair with Benjamin, which was discovered by Karen. When Karen reported May to the authorities, she ended up in prison. Benjamin had initially opposed this but succumbed to pressure from the Jiang family.

Evan looked at Benjamin in shock, not saying a word for a long time.

These things were truly disgusting to hear.

The grudges of the previous generation had extended to the next one. It was truly sickening.

"Serena, let me see Serena. It can't be, Annabelle is not the eldest daughter of the Cunningham family, no!" May rushed into the corridor in a panic, shaking her head and saying that it was not true.

"It can't be, she is not the eldest daughter of the Cunningham family."

Karen, already furious, spotted May and became even angrier. "You dare to come here? Aren't you afraid I will tear you apart?"

Karen rushed forward, ready to tear into May.

"Enough," Benjamin walked over, telling Karen to stop making a scene, or else everyone would know about these things later on.

"You're still protecting her, you're still protecting her," Karen went crazy, hitting Benjamin.

"Slap." Benjamin gave Karen a hard slap. "Are you done being insane?"

Karen was stunned by the hit, covering her face as she looked at her son.

She thought her son would always speak up for her, and support her.

But Evan just watched them, his gaze complex yet indifferent.

She looked like she was seeing strangers.

"That Annabelle, she definitely isn't the Cunningham Family's heiress," May nervously held Karen's wrist. "You have to believe me, Annabelle is definitely not the eldest daughter of the Cunningham Family, I can't be wrong."

Karen pushed May away. "Get lost, don't come near me."

Benjamin had no interest in listening to what May had to say.

Evan stood up and walked over. "What did you say? Annabelle isn't the eldest daughter of the Cunningham Family, do you have evidence?"

"When I gave birth to Wilson, I was in the same hospital as Cordelia. It can't be wrong, it can't be. Annabelle is fake," May kept repeating, Annabelle is fake.

Evan frowned, May seemed frantic but couldn't provide direct evidence.

"Let me see Serena, please, let me see Serena." May pleaded, she was worried about Serena.

Karen snorted. "Serena is my daughter, why should you see her? Dirty scum, get lost."

May looked imploringly at Benjamin, hoping he would help her.

But Benjamin just turned away, not wanting to acknowledge May at all.

May had long despised this man, who had once vowed to protect her. But in the end? He and his wife sent her to prison.

"How did you protect Serena? How did Serena get hit by a car again?" May asked.

"Serena went to Stellar Enterprises and said things she shouldn't have," Evan spoke with a meaningful tone. "She offended Howard and the eldest daughter of the Cunningham Family, Annabelle, and then she got hit by a car as soon as she went downstairs. It's too much of a coincidence."

Evan could tell that May seemed genuinely concerned about Serena.

"No, she's not the eldest daughter of the Cunningham Family, you're wrong," May firmly interjected.

"It's no use telling us, you have to go talk to Cordelia," Evan said coldly.

May nodded. "You're right."

With that, she turned and left.

"Idiot," Karen cursed under her breath.

"You're no better than her," Evan said coldly and turned away.

"Evan, what has gotten into you? I'm your mother, and you're treating me like this," Karen's angry voice echoed in the hallway.

Bellagio Hotel, dinner party.

The Cunningham Family secured the Westing Town project, and Cordelia was delighted. She also gave Annabelle, the supposed ‘heiress’ of the Cunningham family, a lot of face by publicly announcing her engagement banquet.

However, this banquet, which was ostensibly held for Annabelle, was actually a celebration of the Westing Town project.

"Mom, you don't have to be this good to me," Annabelle's voice was gentle, her face full of gratitude.

Cordelia smiled and patted Annabelle's hand. "You deserve it."

Annabelle blushed and lowered her head.

"You two chat first," Cordelia turned and suppressed her smile, heading to the restroom.

"Annabelle, did you see that emerald green diamond necklace in the glass safe? I heard it's Cordelia's precious jewelry collection and it's worth a fortune. Tonight's dinner party was prepared for you, isn't your mother going to give it to you? I'm so envious," someone said.

"Yes, Annabelle, you're so lucky. Cordelia is your real mother. She's the top luxury jewelry collector among the wealthy," the socialites who attended the dinner party were all envious.

Annabelle chuckled, standing tall and proud like a swan.

It seemed like she was telling everyone that she deserved that necklace.

At the entrance of the banquet, Zelda was stopped outside, her features contorted with anger. "Annabelle is my sister, why won't you let me in?" she exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, miss, but we are just following the rules. Without an invitation, you cannot enter," the attendant replied.

Zelda frowned as she looked at the invitations in other people's hands. Annabelle didn't even give her one. Did she really find her embarrassing?

"Let me in," May also approached outside the banquet hall.

She wanted to tell Cordelia that Annabelle was not her daughter at all.
