Chapter 512 Betty is Pregnant

Richard burst into the hospital, desperately looking for Betty.

In his rush, he bumped into several people.

"Betty!"

Betty sat on a bench in the hallway, looking upset.

She sighed deeply, staring at the medical report in her hand.

She blamed herself for being careless.

Richard always used contraception, worried pregnancy would be too hard on her. It must have been last month when they had unprotected sex.

Now, finding out she was pregnant, Betty had mixed feelings.

She was going to be a mom.

She had often thought about having a child with Richard, hoping it would bring them closer.

But now, all she could think about was protecting her child.

This was her and Richard's child.

Having suffered from her own family, she vowed her child would never go through the same.

Whether it was a daughter or a son, it wouldn't marry for convenience or suffer; they'd just grow up happy and healthy.

"Betty!" Richard ran over, panicked, squatting in front of her, breathing heavily, eyes red with worry. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Betty looked at Richard and felt like teasing him.

With a pale face, she softly said, "Richard, I think I have a terminal illness."

Richard's breath caught, and he nervously held her hands. "Don't joke; it's not funny."

His fingers trembled, and his voice shook.

Betty quietly looked at him, still feeling like she was dreaming. Did this man really love her? Was he really not forced?

Did he really belong to her?

"Richard." Betty touched his cheek. "So, you've fallen for me, right?"

Richard's eyes were red, his voice hoarse, and he tightened his grip on her fingers. "What do you want me to do? I'd give my life for you."

"Richard, do you regret it?" Betty choked up, clutching the medical report. "Remember that year in the basement in Southeast Asia? You saved me, covered me with your clothes, shielded my eyes, and told me not to be afraid."

To Betty, those words were like a heavenly voice.

"You took me to the rescue center, remember? I gathered the courage to ask your name."

Richard's eyes reddened further, regretting not noticing her earlier.

"You said your name was Richard. I asked if you had a girlfriend, and you said you had a lover." Back then, Betty felt like the light she had just seen was extinguished.

Richard was really in love with Aleah in his imagination.

He didn't say girlfriend; he said lover.

Richard lowered his head, gripping Betty's wrist tighter. "Betty, stop talking."

Recalling those past events was torture for him.

He regretted it.

Betty was right; he regretted it.

With a hoarse voice, Richard coaxed her. "Tell me what's wrong. Where are you feeling unwell? Please."

Betty knew Richard had truly fallen for her. Every night, he'd wake up, hold her close, kiss her forehead, and say, "I'm sorry. I should've loved you sooner."

"Richard, have you ever thought about being a dad?" Betty asked, holding his face, feeling like crying and laughing at the same time.

Richard was stunned. "What?"

"Do you like kids?" Betty rephrased. Richard had raised Justin so well; he must like kids and would be a great dad. "I'm not joking. Look at this."

She handed him the medical report.

Richard stared at it, too shocked to react, his fingers trembling. "I..."

He wasn't ready, but he knew he'd be a good dad.

"Honey, no." Richard stammered, lost for words.

"Betty." Richard, anxious and at a loss, hugged her tightly. "It's my fault. I should've been more careful. Whether you want this child or not, I'll support you."

He was thrilled to be a dad but respected Betty's decision. She had the right to choose.

Plus, the Willer Group had been in turmoil, and Betty was exhausted.

"This is our child. We're married. It's fate. I want it." Betty raised an eyebrow. "Don't you?"

"Of course, I want it!" Richard was quick to respond.

"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Betty asked, smiling.

"It doesn't matter." Richard's ears turned red as he hugged her tightly, finally relieved.

As long as everything was okay.

"Whether it's a boy or a girl, Justin and Joe will have a little sibling," Betty leaned on Richard's shoulder. "Richard, I think I've finally found the feeling of home."

Until Richard came, Betty always felt like she was dreaming.

In a hotel, Brade smashed a glass on the floor.

He glared at his assistant. "What did you say? Say it again!"

"Betty is pregnant. She went to the hospital today. Our people confirmed it; she's in the early stages."

Brade's face twisted with rage. "Pregnant. She and that poor boy are for real."

He was furious. He thought Betty was just playing a game, but now she was having a child.

"She's with his child. They're a family now." Brade's eyes burned with madness. "This child cannot be born."

"Tell Sophia that Betty is pregnant."

At the Paternity Testing Center, Arnold wanted to see what Sophia was up to, so he arranged for the test and asked her to come over.

Here, she couldn't pull any tricks.

Arnold wanted to crush Sophia's schemes, make her shut up, and keep her away.

"Arnold, you're here." Sophia had been waiting, smiling. "I've been waiting for you. You finally agreed to the test."

Arnold looked at her coldly and opened the passenger door.

Willian sat in the back seat, looking grim, while Cordelia in the front seat looked curious.

"Sophia said she was still a virgin when she was with you, right?" Cordelia asked with a smile as she got out.

Willian, in the back seat, didn't want to get out anymore. His face was dark and menacing.
