Chapter 75 Was Ethan just using Jasmine?
This was probably the most resolute Ben had been since he began working for Henry.
He was genuinely afraid for Jasmine.
Daniel's face darkened significantly as he smirked sarcastically. "Ben, you’re so worked up. It seems you're quite pleased with her."
"Disgusting." Ben pushed aside the person next to him and sat up straight. "I want to see Mr. Patrick Sr."
"Mr. Patrick Sr. naturally won't see you. You can just sit tight in the car until the Chamber of Commerce banquet is over." Daniel straightened his clothes, preparing to get out of the car.
"Aren't you afraid Mr. Patrick will find out?" Ben stared at Daniel.
"It was Mr. Patrick Sr.'s idea. I'm just going along with it. What can Henry do against his own grandfather?" Daniel chuckled and got out of the car.
Ben knew that the people blocking him were all Mr. Patrick Sr.'s men.
Indeed, Daniel didn't have the courage or ability to dare stop Henry's assistant without such backing.

Liam was anxiously pacing back and forth.
"Mr. Douglas, the banquet is about to start; you should hurry."
The Chamber of Commerce banquet was not just a simple feast; it was a gathering of influential people and a place to exchange resources.

Liam paused and looked at Ethan.
Ethan seemed serious. Was he really worried about Jasmine?
Most frighteningly, Ethan was covered in Jasmine's blood from the early hours of the morning until now. Ethan not only had a cleanliness obsession but also couldn't stand touching other people's blood.

"Mr. Douglas..."
"I've said it before; don't casually accuse others without evidence." Ethan leaned back in his chair, rubbing his forehead.
"Mr. Douglas, it was the Brown family and Mr. Daniel who took Jasmine from Henry's residence last night and locked her in an abandoned factory in the outskirts. I've checked; there were ten bodyguards that night. Their task was to target Jasmine, then take videos and photos to threaten her into dropping the case."
Liam couldn't meet Ethan's gaze; his own face was turning ashen with anger.
Ethan glanced at Liam. "Did Daniel go to the banquet?"
"Yes." Liam nodded.
"Tell the hospital that if she wakes up, they should call me immediately." Ethan stood up, his demeanor dark and foreboding as he left.

Henry furrowed his brow as he glanced at his phone, wondering where Ben had gone.
Feeling uneasy, Henry stepped into the restroom to call Jasmine, but she didn't pick up.
His expression darkened momentarily as he exited the restroom and looked at his other assistants. "Find Ben and have him come see me."
"Mr. Patrick, Mr. Douglas has arrived."
Most people at the gathering were waiting for Ethan. Mr. Patrick from Boston and Mr. Douglas from Silverlight City were considered titans in the business world, so they were the stars of this banquet.
"Mr. Douglas, I heard you arrived in Boston early."
At the entrance, a popular actress approached.
Ethan's demeanor was stern. He had donned a sharp new suit, and his chiseled features captured the gaze of everyone in the room.
A man like him would be a top star even in the entertainment industry.
"Mr. Douglas, you’re late. Did you sleep too comfortably at the hotel?" Henry walked over, smiling as he asked.
Ethan's gaze fell on Daniel not far away, ignoring Henry as he walked straight towards him.
To Henry, Ethan's lack of protection for Jasmine meant he had already lost.
Henry furrowed his brow. "Has Ethan lost his mind?"
His secretary whispered behind him, "Mr. Patrick, something seems off."
"Boom!" A muffled sound.
Everyone was shocked as they watched Ethan.
Fortunately, no reporters were allowed in the business venue.
Ethan grabbed Daniel by the collar and threw a devastating punch straight to his face.
Henry furrowed his brow, wondering what Daniel had done to drive Ethan to such madness.
This was a business banquet; Ethan assaulting his own brother was a family matter, but should family matters be aired in public?
Wasn't this a clear attempt to ruin Daniel's reputation in the business circle?
Daniel, too, looked shocked. "Ethan..."
Pointing at Daniel, Ethan said, "You're an adult; you're responsible for your actions."
Daniel's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean..."
"Go ask the police." Ethan pushed Daniel away.
Daniel took a deep breath.
Could it be? Had something happened to Jasmine?
It couldn't be. He had instructed them last night not to harm Jasmine, to avoid fatalities.
"Ethan, what's going on?" Daniel was getting anxious.
No one dared to approach, unsure of what trouble the Douglas family was facing.
"Mr. Douglas, come with us for questioning. We suspect you're involved in an illegal detention and assault case." The police arrived and took Daniel away.
Daniel's expression turned dark.
This was a business event!
He was being taken away by the police here!
It was clear they were out to ruin him!
"Mr. Douglas, haven’t you gone too far?" Liam followed behind Ethan. "He's still a member of the Douglas family; he’s your brother. If Mr. Howard finds out..."
Ethan snorted. "He brought this upon himself."
Daniel adjusted his clothes and donned a calming smile. "There must be a misunderstanding here."
With that, he voluntarily went with the police.
He wouldn't let Ethan get away with it.
Was Ethan trying to destroy him? Was he cutting off any chance he had to take control of Stellar Enterprises? Impossible!
"Ethan, what's happened to Daniel?" Someone asked.
Some elders also inquired.
Ethan calmly replied, "You've all been witness to a spectacle. Daniel has been spoiled by the family and lacks the ability to make smart decisions."
With Ethan's explanation, everyone understood and refrained from further questions.
