Chapter 82 Justin Got into a Fight at School
Boston, the Patrick family home.
"Mr. Patrick? Mr. Patrick Sr. is resting."
"Mr. Patrick..."
"Mr. Patrick!"
The butler and bodyguard couldn't stop Henry at all. He punched them to the ground as he entered.
"Mr. Patrick Sr., I must thank you for your help this time." In the living room, Daniel was having tea with the elderly gentleman.
Mr. Patrick Sr. helped Daniel deal with the police, so naturally Daniel had to pay him a visit.
Daniel and his mother had always wanted to take what originally belonged to Ethan, making the support of company directors and business partners crucial.
Over the years, Ethan had been pressing down hard on Daniel.
In order to establish a relationship with the Patrick family, he was willing to use any means necessary, even leveraging the relationships between the Brown family and the Patrick family.
"Daniel, you're a good kid. I'm the one who got you into trouble this time by asking for your help." Mr. Patrick Sr. smiled as he spoke. "Have dinner here tonight before you leave."
"Okay." Daniel obediently nodded.
Outside the door, there was a commotion as Henry walked in with a grim expression.
"Did you send someone to take Jasmine from my residence?" Henry asked in a low voice.
Mr. Patrick Sr.'s face instantly fell. "Mr. Brown Sr. is still present. What's with the attitude?"
Henry pushed aside the butler blocking his way and glanced at the guests in the house.
"The Brown family, in order to deal with a woman, even included me in their calculations. Impressive." Henry adjusted his tie. "Zelda disregards the law, caused an innocent woman disability through assault, and lead her peers in bullying the same woman. Her character and upbringing are evident. The Patrick family will not welcome such a woman."
Henry pointed at Daniel and then turned to leave.
If Jasmine suffered any harm, he would hold Daniel responsible.
Daniel frowned, his expression grim.
Henry was making a scene like this in front of the elders all for Jasmine?
"Henry, stop right there!" Mr. Patrick Sr. shouted with anger.
Henry paused his steps and turned back to the butler. "Keep an eye on my grandfather. Give him his blood pressure medication if it's high."
"Mr. Patrick Sr., do you see this?!" Mr. Brown Sr. couldn't hold back his discomfort at Henry's behavior.
"He's still too young. He’s not stable enough and too impulsive." Mr. Patrick Sr. glanced at Daniel with a stern face. "This Jasmine; she's quite a character."
Daniel quickly nodded. "Yes, Jasmine is extremely skilled at deception. She's manipulated both the Douglas family and the Wilson family. Mr. Patrick may have been deceived momentarily."
"I heard that Jasmine's child is Henry's." Mr. Brown Sr.'s voice was low.
Mr. Patrick Sr. paused, then looked at his assistant. "Is there a child?"
"Yes..." The assistant nervously lowered his head. "Mr. Patrick doesn't allow anyone to spread the news, so..."
"I suspect that, most likely, that child isn't even Henry's. Jasmine must have used her cunning to deceive him, making Henry so obsessed with her. It's definitely a manipulation." Mr. Brown Sr. said lightly as he got up to leave. "The marriage between our families is set. Henry is just too young."
"Mr. Patrick Sr., I'll accompany Mr. Brown Sr. back. If you need anything, just call me." Daniel stood up, supporting Mr. Brown Sr. "Please pay more attention to Zelda's situation, Mr. Patrick Sr."
After everyone had left, Mr. Patrick Sr.'s eyes darkened. "Investigate that child, see if Henry has been deceived."
...
"Mr. Patrick, Daniel had someone take Jasmine away to an abandoned warehouse. They planned to harm her there"
"Miss Jasmine escaped. A passerby on the road said she was covered in blood, and she had a long cut on her neck."
"Jasmine used a passerby's phone to make a call. I checked, and she seemed to have called Ethan."
In the car, Ben spoke softly, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the steering wheel.
These people were truly despicable. How could they treat a woman in such a way?
"Ethan?" Henry asked in a low voice.
"Yes..."
Henry leaned back in the back seat and slowly closed his eyes.
Jasmine contacted Ethan instead of him. She refused to contact him.
She could have called him.
"Go to Silverlight City." Henry slowly opened his eyes, his gaze deep.
Jasmine was his; no one could take her away from him.
He had put in so much effort to smooth out all her rough edges, finally getting her to lower her head and depend on him.
And now, Ethan wanted to take her away from him? Not a chance.
...
Silverlight City, Presidio Knolls School.
At precisely 5:30 in the afternoon, Jasmine arrived at the school gate to pick up Justin.
"Miss Jasmine? Justin got into a conflict with a classmate in the classroom and injured him. You... please come in." At the school gate, the teacher from the student affairs office was already waiting for Jasmine.
Jasmine's face instantly turned pale, and she nervously followed the teacher into the school office.
"Justin."
Justin stood in a corner. He was bowing his head, and his clothes were dirty; he had clearly been in a fight.
On the other side of the corner, Casey, dressed in designer clothes from head to toe, exuded an air of wealth and privilege as he stood arrogantly. "Bad woman, thief, beggar."
Tears welled up in Justin's eyes as he clenched his fists.
If Casey hadn't provoked him, he wouldn't have hit anyone.
"Mom, I'm sorry..." Justin cried when he saw Jasmine approaching.
He was afraid of causing his mom trouble. He didn’t want her to scold him.
"Has Justin been hurt?" Jasmine knelt in front of Justin, not questioning him about why he fought, but quietly asking if he was hurt.
Justin shook his head, tears evident in his eyes.
"Miss Wilson, Justin hit Casey, and now Casey’s face is swollen. His parents are on their way, and his mother wants an explanation. You should give the Taylor family an explanation." The head of student affairs spoke with a bias clearly favoring Casey.
"My son wouldn't hit someone for no reason." Jasmine hugged Justin, examining him and noticing injuries around his eyes.
She then looked up at the teacher. "Both kids got hurt in the fight. Why should we be the ones to explain? Who will explain to me?"
"Miss Wilson, Casey's father is Mr. Jordan, the CEO of Taylor Company, and his mother is Lisa, an heiress of Stellar Enterprises." The teacher reminded Jasmine.
Who should explain to whom? Power dictated the outcome.
"Mom... he spoke ill of you first, and he called me a bastard. He also said you steal things." Justin wiped his tears; he never allowed anyone to speak ill of his mom.
Jasmine's fingers felt numb. Over the years, she had learned to endure all grievances.
She couldn't afford to offend the Taylor family or the Douglas family. She wanted to beg for mercy and avoid further trouble.
But would she allow her child to endure suffering for her?
"As teachers, have you investigated who started the conflict?" Jasmine's voice was hoarse. "If Casey hadn't provoked Justin, Justin wouldn't have hit him."
"I did provoke him. Bad woman! Thief! You only know how to steal other people's dads. My mom says you're the dirtiest, most disgusting woman alive." Casey taunted Justin while sticking out his tongue.
"Casey." At the office door, Lisa arrived, her voice anxious. "Who dared to touch my son?"
