Chapter 543 Cordelia Goes Crazy and Wants to Kill Dean
The living room was dead silent.
Willian sat in the chair, too proud to admit he was wrong.
"What are you going to do about this?" Cordelia asked.
"I... I don't know. Just don't let Evelyn find out. Sue Sophia or whatever, I don't care," Willian replied.
He wanted to protect the daughter he raised. He'd secretly done a paternity test and didn't want Evelyn hurt.
Cordelia laughed. "It's different when you've raised her yourself. You really care about her."
Seeing Willian stay silent, Cordelia, with teary eyes, spoke again, "Doesn't Evelyn need to know her real parents? If Sophia kept her without their consent, that's child abduction! It's illegal!"
Willian frowned. "Cordelia, you can't say that. Evelyn and Sophia don't get along. Evelyn's good, never causes trouble, never asks for anything. You can't just say whatever when you're mad."
Cordelia stood up and slapped Willian.
Willian glared at her. "You're crazy."
Cordelia slapped him again.
Willian felt humiliated but decided to endure it since no one else was in the room. Let her hit him if she wanted.
"I called you here to inform you, not ask for your opinion, got it?" Cordelia said sternly. "I'll have someone find Evelyn and bring her to me."
"You're nuts! If you want to manage your daughter, do it right. Evelyn has nothing to do with you, so leave her alone!" Willian slammed the table and stood up.
"Willian, you have someone you want to protect. The more you care, the more I want her to know. You don't deserve to be her dad. I'll help her find her real parents!" Cordelia said, clenching her fists.
"No wonder Nolan wanted to take Fiona away. You're blinded by hatred. You're selfish and unreasonable. You've been like a resentful woman all these years, you..." Willian pointed at Cordelia but couldn't finish.
"Selfish? Me?" Cordelia seemed to snap, losing control.
She trembled, looked around, then grabbed a fruit knife from the dining table and charged at Willian.
Willian's face turned pale with fear. "Cordelia, put the knife down."
"Cordelia, I didn't mean it, don't be impulsive. Put the knife down! Don't hurt yourself." Willian backed away, raising his hands to stop her.
Cordelia, breathing heavily, lunged at Willian with the knife. "Willian, I can stay married, but you must die!"
She had completely lost control.
"Willian, you bastard! Die, die!" Cordelia genuinely wanted to kill him.
Terrified, Willian grabbed the knife, cutting his hand, and blood dripped. "You're crazy, truly crazy."
Cordelia, with red-rimmed eyes, pulled out the knife and continued to stab. "You don't know pain until the knife's in you. Evelyn is your daughter, but what about Jasmine? I hate myself! If only Jasmine weren't your daughter! I hate you the most, and you deserve to die! Bastard, just die!"
He should die.
Cordelia cried uncontrollably; he should die.
In the yard, Edward, Edgar, and Jasmine heard the commotion and ran in a panic.
"Mom!"
"Mom."
Everyone rushed in and held Cordelia.
Cordelia, out of control, screamed and threw the knife away.
Willian, with injured hands, looked at Cordelia angrily. "Lunatic, you're a lunatic!"
Outside the door, Arnold, who had come to check on Cordelia, heard the noise and ran in.
Seeing Cordelia crying, his hands clenched unconsciously.
"If you want him dead, just say it." Arnold punched Willian and picked up the knife from the ground.
As long as Cordelia said she wanted Willian dead, he would kill for her.
"Crazy, you're all crazy!" Willian, lying on the ground, still cursed.
Arnold was furious; he was indeed crazy.
They had all gone mad in this life.
Cordelia, trembling all over, squatted on the ground. Even in her anger, she didn't say she wanted Willian dead.
Because she knew Arnold would really kill him.
"Cordelia, you're truly crazy," Willian got up and said angrily.
Jasmine, crying and trying to comfort Cordelia, lost control when she heard Willian's words.
She turned to Willian, crying and hitting him. "We're all crazy! Who drove us crazy? The one who deserves to die the most is you!"
Ethan didn't stop Jasmine but stood aside, coldly warning Willian that he better let Jasmine hit him and not fight back.
Otherwise, he would break his hand.
"You're all crazy." Willian didn't fight back, feeling somewhat guilty.
"Get out, get out, and never come back. I hope you die miserably. You have your daughter; let her take care of you. Get out," Jasmine shouted at Willian.
Willian opened his mouth, then angrily turned and left. To him, Cordelia had corrupted the kids because they weren't close to him.
"Jasmine." Ethan pulled Jasmine into his arms, holding her tightly.
Joe and Justin obediently hid behind the door, neither speaking nor crying.
Evelyn, wearing a hat and mask, entered the Sunshine Restaurant and sat across from Sophia.
"You're not even famous. Why are you so heavily disguised?" Sophia sarcastically said and stirred her coffee.
"Since I was a child, nothing I did ever pleased you. Even when I got first place, you said it was useless, that as a girl, I couldn't do anything right." Evelyn took off her mask and looked at Sophia. "Sometimes I wonder if you're really my mother."
Sophia's hand stirring the coffee paused, and she looked up at Evelyn. "I called you here today because I have something to tell you."
"Say it, I'm very busy," Evelyn said coldly.
"You're indeed not my daughter." Sophia looked at Evelyn.
Evelyn's body stiffened, her eyes burning as she stared at Sophia. "What do you mean?"
"I only found out recently. Someone switched you with my daughter to get back at me." Sophia looked at Evelyn. "Don't you want to know who your real parents are?"
"Cordelia was the one who switched you. My daughter, Fiona, grew up with the Cunninghams. If you want to know your real parents, ask Cordelia," Sophia said coldly.
Evelyn's breathing became rapid, her body stiffening even more.
What was she saying?
Was she crazy?
