Chapter 788 Amelia is Pregnant with Nolan's Child
Nolan's Residence.
Back home, Nolan sat on the couch feeling a bit down.
Looking at the empty room, his gaze wandered.
After Amelia left, he couldn't bear to throw away the cat tree, and the cat villa was still there.
But now, the cat was gone, and Amelia was gone too.
During this time, he tried going on a few blind dates and even tried to get to know the daughter of a business partner, but he wasn't interested.
He probably was really suited to live alone for the rest of his life.
Edgar and Edward said he was too self-righteous. He was the first child in the family and needed to support everything in the family.
The absence of a nurturing family led him to develop an overwhelming love for his relatives. He only knew he had to be strong and capable enough to protect his family.
He only knew that he was like an umbrella for the family,as long as he was strong, the family couldn't fall apart.
He was too strong-willed, stubbornly protected his loved ones in his own way, but he neglected himself.
He never thought about which woman he would fall in love with in the future.
He wasn't very good at handling relationships, which is why Amelia left him.

Amelia came to a small town and used the money Nolan gave her to set up a bed and breakfast.
The scenery here was beautiful, with a year-round spring-like climate. She could ride her bike to the sea, and there were blooming flowers in the yard every day. She could sit in the sunshine or under the shade, drinking tea and listening to music.
This kind of life was really pleasant.
"Amelia." she had just picked a bunch of sunflowers and was riding her pink bike back when she heard someone call her.
Turning around, she saw Nathaniel who was fully armed.
Amelia looked at him in surprise and ran over happily. "What are you doing here?"
Nathaniel smiled and ruffled Amelia's hair. "I happened to be filming nearby, and we have a whole month to see each other. I've already arranged for the crew to book your bed and breakfast, so I'll be staying here."
Amelia was overjoyed and jumped up and down. "Really?"
"Of course." Nathaniel nodded.
Just as Amelia was about to show Nathaniel the room, she felt a wave of nausea.
"Wait for me." Amelia rushed into the bathroom.
She was already experiencing severe morning sickness.
It had been half a year since she left Nolan, and because of her retroverted uterus, her loose overalls didn't show her pregnancy.
She didn't expect to get pregnant, and it was Nolan's child.
She had thought about having an abortion, but the doctor said it was a miracle she could get pregnant with her uterine. If she had an abortion, she might never have her own child again.
After thinking it over, Amelia decided to keep the baby and raise it on her own.
There were many single mothers out there. She was living such a pleasant life now, why did she need a man? She could raise the child on her own.
When Amelia came out of the bathroom, Nathaniel looked at her with a somber expression. "When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me?"
Such a big thing, why didn't she tell him?
Amelia smiled awkwardly. "Sorry, Nathaniel, I didn't think it was a big deal."
Nathaniel's face darkened. "The baby is Nolan's?"
Amelia lowered her head and patted her belly, nodding.
She was wearing overalls, looking a bit cute.
After thinking for a moment, Amelia shook her head. "It's not anyone's, it's mine."
The child was in her belly, so it was hers. Nolan didn't even need to know.
Nathaniel took a deep breath. "You're here alone, and you have to raise a child. Have you thought about how you live in the future?"
Amelia nodded. "I've thought it through. I have enough money, and there's the bed and breakfast."
Although she had spent most of the money Nolan gave her, the bed and breakfast was making money.
She could also paint and do makeup for tourists here. She had many ways to make money.
She felt her life was very fulfilling. Being alone wasn't bad at all.
"Amelia, I'll quit the entertainment industry and take care of you." Nathaniel said softly.
He didn't even care whose child it was.
Amelia was stunned, looking at Nathaniel in shock, thinking he was joking.
But Nathaniel didn't seem to be joking.
"I've made enough money over the years, and I want a simple life." Nathaniel said softly.
Amelia was silent for a long time, then shook her head. "Nathaniel, this isn't the life you should have. Nolan made you sign so many contracts, and the company wants you to renew them. If you breach the contracts, the money you've earned won't be enough to pay the penalties. We're adults now."
She lowered her head and spoke again. "You're a good person, but I'm not good enough for you."
She had changed a lot, no longer the naive and impulsive person she once was. Now she seemed much more composed.
If Nolan saw her, he might be surprised and maybe even like the current Amelia.
But unfortunately, he missed out.
Amelia felt that being alone was really good. There was no need to drag Nathaniel into her broken life.
"You still can't let Nolan go. You have him in your heart." Nathaniel knew what he would face if he quit the industry and knew he couldn't do it anytime soon. But Amelia's rejection wasn't just because of that.
It was also because she couldn't forget Nolan.
Amelia shook her head. "He is meant to be buried in my heart. If he come back to life, it would be a terrible thing."
After a long silence, Amelia spoke again. "I won't care him anymore. I'm fine on my own."
"Really?" Nathaniel persistently wanted to ask. "Did you see the news? Nolan is getting engaged to the president's daughter from Silverlight City."
