Chapter 869 Who is the person behind helping Cordelia?

Jasmine and Edgar returned home, and everyone was there, looking serious.

Ethan walked over holding a child in each arm and looked at Edgar. "Your uncle is amazing, he almost got himself a wife."

Ethan smiled, sat down with the two children, and added fuel to the fire. "Ellis, look at how your uncle made your mommy angry."
Ellis clapped his hands and said in a babyish voice, "Uncle..."
The pronunciation wasn't very clear.
Jasmine smiled helplessly and looked at Ethan. "Stop adding fuel to the fire."
"Edgar already knows he was wrong and promises not to drink again." She covered for Edgar.
Edgar quickly nodded. "Mom, I know I was wrong, I was being foolish a few days ago, I'm sorry."
"You don't need to apologize to me, you need to apologize to your brothers, Jasmine, and yourself." Cordelia sighed. "You know the current situation of the Cunningham family, to bring down Kavi, we put ourselves in a precarious position, everyone needs to keep a low profile, but you just had to give people something to use against us."
Edgar lowered his head in guilt.

Amelia followed behind Nolan, watching the scene.
"Did you call the police?" Arabella looked at Nolan and Amelia angrily as she came out.

Their guesthouse had violations, and there was an undercover agent of Nolan's inside. This agent provided Nolan with clues when they were engaged in illegal activities. Now the police have taken them away, and the evidence is almost conclusive.
Amelia made a face at Arabella.
Arabella sneered, thinking that Amelia was merely relying on Nolan.

"I heard from a friend that the Cunningham Group's reputation has bad reputation lately." Amelia said softly.
Even she had known that.
"Yes, we seem to have been affected." Nolan nodded.
"Are you going back to help?" Amelia looked up at Nolan.
"Aren't you coming back with me?" Nolan got a bit nervous, worrying that Amelia wanted him to go back alone.
Amelia shook her head. "I'll go back with you."
He didn't have much time left, she could leave the guesthouse to the employees for now, and after Nolan passed away, she would come back and probably stay here until she grew old.
Thinking about Nolan's death, Amelia's eyes reddened, she looked down at her growing belly and said softly, "At least, I still have the baby with me."
At least, Nolan left her a child. After he died, she wouldn't be lonely.
