Chapter 300 Betty's Rival

Annabelle had a wicked heart. "Weren't you in love with Ethan?" Daniel sarcastically asked. "Why are you so eager to take his life now?"

"I've given him countless chances, but unfortunately, he doesn't know how to cherish them," Annabelle clenched her hands tightly. "When I loved him, I could hold him in my hands. But now that I don't love him anymore, all I care about is benefits and value."

Annabelle looked at Daniel with cold eyes. "Since you are my husband, I hope you can stand in the highest position and give me absolute honor and status. After all, I am the Cunningham Family's daughter. I don't want my husband to be worthless, do you understand?"

Daniel's face turned gloomy as he looked at Annabelle posing with nobility. "There's a socialite banquet tonight?"

Annabelle nodded. "Of course, I am the absolute protagonist."

As the Cunningham Heiress, Annabelle's position in the socialite circle now surpassed that of Lisa and others.

"You can accompany me, but don't embarrass me," Annabelle reminded Daniel.

Daniel just sneered without saying anything and then left straight away.

At the Silverlight City Hospital.

Wilson and Ethan came to pick up Justin from the hospital and found that Edgar and Joe had arrived early.

Edgar was dressed in trendy streetwear, looking really fashionable.

Wilson smiled at Edgar. "You look good in the outfit today."

Wilson knew that Edgar had designed the clothes himself, so she was complimenting him on purpose. After all, having social skills was necessary for interpersonal relationships in life.

Edgar was indeed delighted and almost jumped out of joy. "Wilson, I designed this outfit myself. Do you like it? It's a couple's matching outfit. If you like it, I can bring one for you."

Ethan furrowed his brows and pulled Wilson closer, looking at Edgar who was trying to get closer to Wilson like an idiot.

"The clothes are nice, you can send them over, and also the outfit you're wearing now. I'll have them sterilized, I won't find them distasteful," Ethan said calmly.

"Ethan!" Edgar always found a way to anger Ethan. "Have you become so poor that you're now resorting to stealing other people's clothes?"

"Wilson, look at Ethan, he's not picky about things anymore because he's so poor. It's terrifying, how is he going to support you? How can he treat you well? Can he still afford to buy you a Hermes bag? If he can't send you a bag every month, buy you jewelry every week, and transfer ten thousand dollars to you every day, then what's the point of this relationship?"

The more Edgar thought about it, the more he felt that Wilson was getting the short end of the stick. He pulled her aside. "Let me tell you, if a man can't transfer ten thousand dollars to you every day, then he just wants to take advantage of you."

Wilson took a deep breath. "Um, we don't have an improper relationship of being supported financially."

"Who brainwashed you? Ethan? That old man only knows how to deceive young girls like you," Edgar complained. "Wilson, divorce him, I'll marry you immediately. We can get married right away, I'll treat you well and give you everything you want."

Edgar didn't want to miss out on this opportunity he could take advantage of.

Politely, Wilson declined. "No, I think you deserve a better woman."

Edgar looked at Wilson, hurt and dejected. "Ethan doesn't deserve your affection. He's a picky person and doesn't like to talk to others. He's similar to my older brother, very boring."

Edgar believed that he and Wilson were a perfect match.

"We are a better match," Edgar couldn't give up.

"Match? Go find someone else to match with," Ethan pushed Edgar aside and went into the hospital room to see his two sons, feeling a warm feeling in his heart.

Wilson smirked and followed into the hospital room.

"Mom!" Justin's condition had clearly improved significantly. The doctor said that he would need two more treatments at ages ten and thirteen, and he would then be fully recovered.

Wilson was overjoyed and excitedly hugged Justin, her eyes became red. "Our Justin is a healthy kid now."

Justin embraced Wilson. "Mom, I missed you so much."

Joe looked at Justin, then at Wilson, and maturely didn't argue with Justin over their mother's attention.

But deep down, he also craved love and doting from his mother.
Wilson realized Joe's disappointment and reached out to embrace Joe as well. "Now, Mommy has two healthy little knights. The little knights will work hard to become stronger and protect Mommy, right?"

"Right! I will protect Mommy!" Joe said happily.

"What about Daddy?" Ethan approached and hugged Wilson from behind. The family of four looked really warm.

Edgar stood at the doorway, feeling uneasy. However, he inexplicably didn't want to disturb this tender scene. With a sense of loss, he turned around and left alone.

He really liked Wilson and sincerely wanted to be with her.

This is the first time, he has cared so much about a woman.

He really wanted to win Wilson over.

But Wilson didn't like him.

For the first time, he liked someone like this, even though he had had many girlfriends.

"Bang!" Edgar absentmindedly walked away and collided with a girl who had hastily run out of the elevator.

The girl bumped into him with force, hitting her head on Edgar's chin. Instantly, blood came out of his mouth.

Edgar was stunned. Why was he so unlucky lately?

Or is it because of his contact with Ethan that has brought him bad luck?

In a gentlemanly manner, Edgar looked at the girl who bumped into him and showed concern first. "Are you okay?"

Luna's forehead was not in good condition either, and she squatted on the ground, holding her head in pain, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

Her bad mood, combined with her grandfather's situation, filled Luna with resentment.

The tears couldn't be contained, and Luna looked up at Edgar. "Don't you have eyes? What are your big eyes for?"

Edgar was dumbfounded by her fierceness and felt embarrassed. "Sorry, I was distracted just now."

Luna rubbed her forehead and ignored Edgar, turning around to leave.

Edgar noticed that Luna's forehead was swollen. "Let me take you to see a doctor."

"No need. Go see a doctor yourself. Your mouth is bleeding." Luna shook off Edgar's hand and hurriedly ran toward the ward, more concerned about her grandfather.

Just her luck.

"Your student ID dropped." Seeing Luna run far away, Edgar realized that Luna's student ID had dropped on the ground.

"Luna." Edgar raised an eyebrow and followed her.

She's still a college student, but she has quite a fiery temper.

At Richard's place.

Richard tidied up the room because Justin would be staying with him after being discharged.

His phone rang, and Richard absentmindedly answered it.
"Richard" He was greeted by a gentle woman's voice. Richard's hands clenched instantly.

"Richard, I'm back," the woman's voice on the phone choked. "Do you still want me?"
