Chapter 794 Amelia, I regret it.
Amelia, afraid of running into Nolan again, left early.
But she still couldn't avoid him. She had just returned to the inn when Nolan and Elaine arrived.
Nolan rarely wore casual sportswear. He had a good physique and was already handsome. Wearing a T-shirt, pants, and sneakers made him look much more handsome.
The moment Amelia saw Nolan, her body stiffened in place.
She had never seen Nolan in anything other than a suit or loungewear, so she was indeed a bit shocked.
Undeniably, Nolan was stunningly handsome.
Especially when he wore a suit, it really seemed like suits were made for him.
"Hey, pretty lady, are you the owner here?" Elaine, also in sportswear, greeted Amelia cheerfully.
Amelia snapped back to reality and awkwardly looked down. "Yes."
Elaine smiled and said, "We'd like to stay here. Could you show us the best room?"
Amelia panicked. They wanted to stay here. There were so many inns around, why did they have to stay here? "I'm sorry, the rooms are full. There's another inn nearby, it's my friend's place, maybe you could..."
She nervously tried to send them away.
"But I booked online in advance." Elaine took out her phone.
At this point, Amelia knew she couldn't avoid it. "Okay."
Since she couldn't avoid it, she had to face it. "One room or..."
She stammered.
Elaine turned around and looked at Nolan expectantly.
Although she really wanted to sleep with Nolan, she couldn't be too forward, she still has to defer to Nolan.
Nolan's gaze was fixed on Amelia, somewhat intense. "Two rooms."
His voice was deep.
Elaine was a bit disappointed but still smiled and stuck her tongue out at Amelia, whispering, "My boyfriend is a bit shy."
Amelia's hand holding the pen trembled slightly. She took a deep breath and placed the receipt on the table. "Please sign here. Will you be paying by card or..."
Before Amelia could finish, Nolan had already taken out ten thousand dollars in cash. "By cash, here's ten thousand dollars."
For a moment, both Amelia and Elaine were stunned, looking up at Nolan.
"How many days will you be staying?" Amelia asked nervously.
Elaine was also a bit surprised.
"One night," Nolan said indifferently.
"Two of the best rooms for one night only cost a bit over two thousand dollars. Why are you paying so much?" Elaine whispered.
"Overpaying is fine," Nolan explained casually.
Elaine opened her mouth, suspiciously looking at Amelia. Even if she were slow, she should have noticed by now that the two knew each other.
Because Amelia was too nervous, and Nolan was acting too unusually.
"I'll return the extra money to you," Amelia said, trying to give the remaining money back to Nolan.
"No need," Nolan's voice was firm. "Show us the rooms."
Amelia was silent for a moment, not wanting to argue with Nolan, and nodded, leading the way.
Elaine followed Amelia silently to see the rooms. "Let's see my boyfriend's room first."
Elaine deliberately spoke, asserting her claim.
Amelia kept her head down and led them to a room on the third floor with a private terrace. "Here." She pointed to the room. "If you need anything, just call the front desk."
Nolan raised an eyebrow and entered the room.
The room was very clean, designed in a style Amelia liked. It was her original design, and many things were handmade by her.
She was not just a small inn owner but also someone with a bit of fame online.
Although she didn't show her face, she posted about her life and handmade works every day, being self-sufficient.
"The room is very clean," Nolan commented.
Amelia didn't respond, standing outside the door.
Elaine glanced at Amelia, then turned and smiled at Nolan. "You rest first, I'll come find you later."
Elaine's words were clearly suggestive.
If they alone late at night, what else could it be?
Amelia lowered her head even more, silently reminding herself that they were paying customers.
They paid ten thousand dollars!
"You know my boyfriend, right?" In Elaine's room, she asked with a smile.
Amelia's body stiffened for a moment. Even a fool should have noticed by now.
Taking a deep breath, she nodded. "Yes, we know each other."
"What is your relationship?" Elaine asked curiously.
Amelia thought for a moment and then spoke softly. "Debtor."
Elaine was taken aback.
"I owed him money, but I've already paid it back. We have no other relationship, don't worry." Amelia explained, looking down and speaking again. "Please check the room, and contact me if you need anything."
Elaine nodded. "Okay, you can go now."
Amelia left, almost fleeing. Her legs were weak as she went downstairs.
She thought coming to Sunrise City would help her avoid Nolan, but why did he follow her here?
Back at the front desk, Amelia lay on her small bed.
Because it was an inn, and the employee on duty happened to take leave today, Amelia had to sleep on her small bed, worried that guests might need her at any time.
The front desk phone rang, it was from Nolan's room.
She nervously picked up the phone but still answered. "Hello, Moon Bay Inn front desk, how can I help you?"
"The shower isn't working," Nolan's voice was deep, revealing no emotion.
Amelia was nervous. It couldn't be not working, it was the best room, and even the shower was something she personally selected and bought.
After hanging up, Amelia still went to check.
She knocked on the door and walked in.
The room had a faint fragrance, not from the room's aroma diffuser, but from Nolan's scent.
She used to be very familiar with this scent.
She used to rely on Nolan a lot.
But unfortunately...
Entering the bathroom, Amelia tried to turn on the shower.
Nolan leaned against the door frame, watching Amelia. "It seems you're doing well."
Amelia didn't respond to Nolan, turning on the shower, which clearly had water.
Amelia was a bit angry, looking back at Nolan. "Mr. Cunningham, I don't think it's meaningful for you to mess with me. You're here with your girlfriend, so it's better to keep a pleasant mood. Have a good night, goodbye."
She turned to leave, but Nolan suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Amelia was stunned for a moment, trying to struggle, but Nolan hugged her from behind.
Then, in a hoarse voice, he said, "Amelia, I have some regrets."
He was regretting letting her go.
During this time, it seemed like he thought about her every day, as if he had some kind of illness.
