Chapter 274 Will Wilson go with Nolan?

"Six years ago, I was manipulated by a high-ranking member of the Douglas family and drank a spiked drink. Subconsciously, I knew I might have been set up, so I hid from those people and went back to the hotel upstairs alone. But when I was in the elevator, I was already a little unconscious, and I went to the wrong floor. So, I went into the wrong room, thinking it was mine." Ethan explained softly.

He knew that the harm had already become a fact, and no matter what reasons or difficulties he had, it was useless.

"Ethan, do you know what kind of life you made Wilson live these years?" Richard's eyes turned red and his voice choked up.

Even though Ethan was also a victim, Richard still favored his sister.

He admitted that he did not look at this matter impartially, but she was his sister. He had witnessed how Wilson was trampled into the mud and struggled to climb out step by step over the years.

If it weren't for what happened six years ago, she wouldn't have suffered so much.

"Where were you when those reporters were surrounding the room and reporting on Wilson meeting with an unidentified person?" Richard yelled uncontrollably.

Ethan wanted to explain, "At that time, I thought I was being set up, and I didn't realize that I had entered the wrong room. So, when I sobered up, I left. I didn't know."

But he couldn't explain it clearly.

He did hurt Wilson.

"Ethan, when did you find out about all this?" Richard lowered his voice and asked, afraid of disturbing Wilson and afraid of her hearing.

"A while ago, Justin and I did a paternity test." Ethan didn't hide it from Richard.

"Tell me the truth, do you feel guilty and are seeking redemption, or are you forced to be with Wilson because of your son?" Richard didn't believe Ethan anymore, he didn't believe Ethan was with her because he loved Wilson.

From the beginning, it was just a transaction.

Someone like Ethan could not possibly fall in love with someone for no reason.

"No, it's not guilt. And it's not for the child either." Ethan clenched his fists.

"Sir, please cooperate and come with me to have your blood tested." The nurse approached and asked Ethan to follow her.

Ethan nervously looked at Richard. "Take care of Wilson for me. I will explain everything to her."

Richard looked back at Wilson with a complex expression.

Based on his understanding of Wilson, that night six years ago had caused her too much harm, she wouldn't forgive Ethan.

Once Justin's condition improved, she would likely leave Ethan.

"Wilson."

Approaching Wilson, Richard spoke softly. "Don't be afraid, forget about it, it's all in the past. You should live your life well."

Wilson, scared, dodged and ran into the safety corridor, curling up in a corner.

Richard thought about going over but hesitated.

"What happened six years ago?" Nolan asked, unable to bear seeing Wilson in such a pitiful state.

"Six years ago, there was a scandal about the true and false daughter of the Xu family. Someone said Wilson was not the Xu family's daughter. Overnight, her identity underwent an earth-shattering change. Serena and Evan conspired against Wilson to take everything away from her. They made her drink drugged wine and threw her into a room. They wanted someone to come into that room."

Richard couldn't bring himself to say the rest.

They really did despicable things.

"They brought reporters to report on Wilson being promiscuous."

That night, Wilson cried until she choked, cried until she lost all hope and fainted.

Evan was clearly outside the door, but he didn't have the courage to rush in and save her.

They were all scum.

Nolan frowned, his face darkening. "It was Ethan."

Richard remained silent.

Nolan found it hard to imagine what Wilson had been through.

Suddenly feeling guilty, he regretted saying that Wilson didn't even know who the biological father of her child was.

His words must have hurt her deeply.

He thought Wilson couldn't distinguish between men because there were too many of them.

But it turned out she was hurt by someone she didn't even know.

It wasn't her fault, yet she had to bear all the consequences as a woman.

Where did Ethan go all these years?

In the corner of the safety corridor.

Wilson huddled in a dark corner, clutching herself tightly. She felt that familiar sensation again. Suffocating, cold, and her whole body ached with stiffness. She had thought being with Ethan was like meeting a god. But it turned out to be a nightmare.

In agony, Wilson yanked at her own hair, asking why, why? Why was it always like this? Why did he treat her this way? Why was it, Ethan? Why did he lie to her? Was he aware that the woman from six years ago was her?

Where was he when she was imprisoned, humiliated, and hurt all these years? Was he just watching coldly? Why?

Wilson desperately pulled at her hair, silently screaming. It felt suffocating. She dared not think. She wanted to kick these thoughts out of her mind. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't. She could always picture Ethan's face, his voice and smile, his every move, all the tenderness, all the favoritism. Were they all fake?

"Do you want to leave him?" Nolan entered the safe passage and approached Wilson as she pulled at her own hair. Seeing this, he squatted down and grabbed her wrist with a calm face. "There's no need to punish yourself with someone else's mistakes."

Before Nolan finished speaking, he noticed the gruesome scars on Wilson's slender and fair wrist, unmistakable evidence of numerous suicide attempts.

"I can take you away," Nolan held Wilson's hand. After he said that, he paused for a moment, not knowing why he wanted to take her away. Was he pitying her?

"If you don't want to face all of this anymore after the Westing Town project is completed, I can take you and Justin back to Country M," Nolan spoke again.

Wilson withdrew her wrist from his grasp and curled up. "I’ll give you some time to think," he said, not rushing her to make a decision now.

Wilson remained silent throughout. She seemed to have worsened, unable to speak. She was back in the state of being mute.

In the hospital room, Justin woke up and looked at Ethan at his bedside. "Dad."

Ethan stood up abruptly, cradling Justin's face anxiously. "Don't be afraid, Justin. Dad is here."

"What about Mom?" Justin asked softly.

Ethan lowered his gaze, his voice hoarse. "Mom's tired, she said she wants some time alone."

Justin blinked and looked at Ethan. "Dad, did you cry?"

Ethan smiled and shook his head.

"Justin. Dad did something unforgivable to Mom. She won't forgive me anymore, what should I do?" Ethan whispered.

"Did Dad do it on purpose?" Justin asked.

Ethan shook his head.

He didn't do it on purpose.

But even if he didn't do it on purpose, he had already hurt Wilson.

Now Wilson doesn't want to see him, doesn't want to hear his explanation.

What should he do?

"The teacher said, if it's the first time making a mistake and it's not intentional, you can choose to forgive, but if you make the same mistake again, you'll have to get a hand slap," Justin held Ethan's finger with his tender little hand. "Dad, don't be afraid, Justin will help you, and Mom will definitely forgive you."

Ethan rubbed Justin's head. "Justin, don't let Mom abandon me."

Everyone Ethan cared about eventually abandoned him.

He didn't want to lose Wilson.

Even though he knew he was unforgivable, he still didn't want to lose Wilson.

He even feared losing control and forcibly keeping Wilson by his side, continuing to do the wrong things.
